Such an inspiring video! That run at the end looked super challenging, but amazing all at the same time. I am glad that you didn't give up and conquered the run 🙂
I applaud you for making this commitment. I took a solo trip to Thailand just a couple of months ago and thought it was an amazing experience. I've considered making a greater commitment to staying in Thailand for a long period of time and look to train in Muay Thai. I did a couple of Muay Thai classes and realized how different it is compared to BJJ. I hope to make the same commitment in the future as you!

Have you ever been there during rain season? Wanted to go end of Sep, but I guess that is still rainy. So I might postpone until mid October in hopes that the rain isn't that bad @@EvolveNowYoga
Make sure you don’t go during the rainy season! And besides that you will safe a lot of money if you choose to stay at private apartments that you can rent frol locals! Way cheaper than staying in the hotel of Tiger Muay Thai for example
Richtig geile Sache !! Hab auch schon oft überlegt so ein Trainingscamp zu machen. kannst du sagen, was es so ungefähr kosten würde, wenn man dies 4 Wochen lang machen würde ? :)
I feel like with proper preparation, basically anything is doable. I admire you for going over there and doing it. That's the big difference in and of itself, actually going to Thailand and doing it. Whatever "it" may be for someone. For you it is training Muay Thai and you put thoughts into action. That's all that matters. Win, lose, or draw... you actually did it! I'm cheering for you going forward. I would love to train Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai some day at Tiger Muay Thai.
Flight is around 1k+ depending where you are , tiger Muay Thai and some other gyms offer an Instay + gym as a price. Something like Tiger would be around 1k/month but other gyms with less tourists could go as low as 250$/month. Food is about barely 5$/day if not less, some gyms offer food included with instay.
Klasse Video.
Congrats for putting yourself way outside of your comfort zone and succeeding with the intense training!! This is something I dream of doing one day, thank you for the inspiration. Do you have any more tips on getting enough calories in the day to deal with the high volume of exercise? You only showed those two quick clips! At past events, I have struggled to get in enough calories without having an upset stomach! Are there any foods you would recommend to keep you fuelled?
I had breakfast after the morning classes where I usually got Avacado Toasts and peanut butter banana toasts. At noon i had smoothies with protein powder and lots and lots of fruit. Only in the evening i had a big warm meal with lots of rice! Make sure to eat throughout the day and get some electrolytes from 7eleven and you should be good to go! Also don’t forget to drink some coconuts🙏🏾😁
@@EvolveNowYoga Thank you so much for responding! That's super helpful. I may get the chance to train out in Thailand next year with my club so I really appreciate the advice.
Yess! I tried to keep up with him in the fitness classes, but there was no way for me🤣 there were many other famous athletes too, he is the only one who i got on camera though!
Hey man. Really loved this video. I was curious what the cost of the trip came out to? Or a rough estimate maybe on a trip there and how much it costs at Tiger. This sounds like an amazing experience.
Hey i am glad you liked my video! I spent for everything about 5000€. But thats for 3 months of traveling, training , eating and sleeping! There are cheaper gyms though!
Hi There, excellent video with good insight. How often did you do private training? i am looking to go for 4-6 weeks and don't know what's reasonable expectations of growth in skill if i'm doing private lessons everyday.
I think with accommodation, food, private classes and access to all training sessions it was around 2000€. You can get it a lot cheaper though if you stay in private owned apartments or hotels! also food at the tiger camp is really expensive so I would also recommend to eat at other places, there plenty of great restaurants close by that are cheaper! When it comes to training your skill and fitness level really don’t matter that much! There were people that never trained before arriving and at the same time there are a lot of pro athletes training! The martial arts classes are separated for different levels and no matter age, fitness level or experience, I think there are enough classes so everybody can benefit from training at this gym! As i said in the video, smaller and less known gyms are way cheaper and probably also offer great training. I trained in Chiang Mai and krabi in small muay thai gyms and also had an amazing time!
I think so, I train BJJ at my local gym, and I do Muay Thai every once and a while. I would love this immersion for Muay Thai, I will start going to more local classes.... but yeh probably. Awesome videos @@EvolveNowYoga
