It must have come on fairly late at night in your neck of the woods if you were only able to catch it in the summertime. Loved this show back in the day as well and for some reason, I always preferred staying up late at night to watch it.
This was the show. I was in a club one night and someone walked up to me and asked if I wanted to be on the show. I said yes. Later that week I went to some office building in LA and answered questions and talked about myself and I ended up in one the squares on a show in 89. I wasn’t in LA anymore and saw the show when I moved back to Atlanta. If they had chose me for a date, they wouldn’t have been able to find me. LOL I was just browsing through the 1989 shows to see if I could find the one I was on and saw this one. This was a good episode. Too bad they didn’t match me up with Tameka. Lol
At the end of the video an old episode of Def Comedy jam starts to comes on that featured comedian Ricky Harris, who passed away just 10 days ago , R.I.P
He was the best looking of the three! She made a good choice! I wish I knew whatever happened to this couple! Who knows, may be they got married! Peace.

I don’t get the sense that Cazzie reads/responds to these comments, but if he does: first, there was nothing wrong with your hair for the late 80s/early 90s era (I live Chuck, but no way a middle age white guy was going to know the hairstyles in the black community); second, I think most of us would love to know what happened with the couple in the show, and what they up to now (if you know). People were just so much more congenial and respectable back then. Back when you could TAKE a woman on a real date (not just meetup) and they didn't think you'd kill them if they came back to your spot.

By either account, this show was broadcast 25-30 years ago, and nobody is promised tomorrow. A lot of bad things can happen to people in that amount of time, and anything bad can happen to people even in the blink of an eye.
