Just a question. Motorhome van prices soured during Covid. Did you consider leaving your van as it was. Selling it. But there again I've not a clue about building Van's. Plus too old to do my own. Cheers from old George and Jane. 👍👫🤠🤔🇬🇧
Hello George and Jane! Great question and one we have quite a lot to say on actually... but I'll keep it as short as I can! Sophia is a great van, with low mileage, FSH and one previous owner. We've looked after her like a baby and finding good sprinter vans like this are rarer than gold dust nowadays. Not to mention the price is sky high. Then on top of that, we already built her foundations. Buying a new van would mean re-doing all the rust treatment, sound deadening, insulation, battening, flooring, carpeting, the bulkhead... at least another 3 months + all the expense. So, it made sense to strip her back to the basics, and re-build our already great van into something that better suits us. Kind of how you don't move house every time you want to do renovations... plus we love Sophia! We are emotionally attached to this van! Hope that sheds some light on the thought processes behind the re-build 💛
