I know I'm 8 years late, but you missed an Easter egg. If you hold the unlock button, the windows will roll down. If you hold the lock button when theyre down, they roll up. Most new high trim level cars have it, but for some reason, none advertise it
I have a 2011 with 188,000 miles. Super durable and easy to maintain and work on. These were designed the right way and even this update shows even more. I do wish they'd put the 5.0 V8 but most with the 3.5 turbo enjoy it. The new Expedition is nice but this one will always hold a special spot for me due to its dependability design and ride comfort.
Good review, we ordered a 2016 Platinum last month and are waiting delivery. We knew there were no body changes, but I'm also surprised that a front view camera, like on the Explorer was not added to these. Our Platinum, plus some extras will run us just under $70,000.00. Ouch!! If we didn't need it now, I would have waited another year cause I know for sure next year they would change the body on me.
wow what an amazing channel!!!! I got to see the 2016 ford explorer review you did and subscribed. this videos will definitely help my wife and I decide on our next family hauler.
Very helpful demo of the features. Looking at one of these (2016 Platinum) on Monday. Helped me know what to check out and features to ensure are functional.
First of all, beautiful truck and comprehensive review! Just looked at Ford's web site and they list the limited model as coming standard with the "Heavy-Duty Trailer Tow Package" and the spec page lists 9,200lbs as max. tow capacity. I believe you had said 6000lbs - can you confirm?
+modmatt1 Thank you for the correction. Typically the Expedition has 6k lb. towing and an optional HD towing package which bumps it up to 9200 lbs. As you said, the Limited comes with it standard. www.ford.com/suvs/expedition/specifications/towing/
@@chrisgraham2904 no it’s not. Fords sync only works if your cell phone is connected to it via Bluetooth. Onstar is its own phone system with working phone number. Also I learned that Onstar was originally fords idea in the mid / late 90s but sold the idea to GM and they started it with only in Cadillac lol
@@velabela7634 Thanks, didn't know that OnStar didn't require a cell phone. Who's driving without a cell phone anyways?lol. OnStar is also a subscription service, is it not?
I would rather have those hooks instead of those damping ones of overtime those will go back and let's say you got your hood up cuz u like to get dirty in the hood and the damps fail... 😵☠️ Lol maybe a combination of both damps and a hook would be dope hehe
A receiver on the bumper is not a "Tow Package". If this vehicle can only tow 6600 pounds, it DOES NOT have a tow package. With a factory installed tow package this vehicle should tow 9200 pounds. Source... Ford website.
There are two different tow packages available with 12 different configurations. Only the Heavy Duty tow package with the appropriate axle ratio can tow 9200 lbs. The standard tow package is 6600 lbs. No tow package would be able to tow 0lbs. Here educate yourself with a real source: www.ford.com/resources/ford/general/pdf/towingguides/17RV&TT_Ford_Expedition_Sep7.pdf
Good info and exactly what I was referring to. So I guess we're really talking terminology as I should have said HD Tow package vice what towing capabilities are standard
+MonsterJam Guy59 Think you mean Expedition EL - extended length? Stretched wheelbase version and more room - like an Excursion was compared to an standard length Expedition, but not based on an SD/F250 chassis like the Excursion.
The plastics look awful on the door, even if its soft touch on the armrest, it still looks like hard plastic. The Tahoe and Yukon definitaly have a better interior in my opinion. And of course if you're wealthy you could always go for a Navigator or Escalade.
Ford needs to do something more about the small aesthetics. The power buttons on the seats and the buttons on the back climate control are ugly. I also think they make the inside look cheap by not doing much with the doors, faux wood etc. But, with that said, it is a wonderful car to have. Just needs more attention to detail like many foreign vehicles, IMO.Nice fair review.
Um its like The 2016 Yukon Denli the expediton is all that's is expedition has unfold power stepstool and denl has were on the key you can open the glass part of trunk
+dylan bukovsky Wish I could, we've put the purchase off for two years and have to pull the trigger on a new one almost now. My dealer sent me a note saying that it will be in any day now. If the Chevy wasn't so boxy and he interior wasn't so unlikeable, I'd go with the Suburban.
+MyCarGuru.net Thanks, but I got mine today. I got a good guy insider deal well below stick. So far, its a nice ride, fully loaded with only a few minor "wish they would haves."
im seeing what GMC doing to their yukons, Cadillac is doing to their Escalades, And Chevy doing to their Suburbans. And then you have the ugly ass Ford expedition.
20-inch wheels suck. There is no reason whatsoever to have wheels larger than about 17 inches. It merely makes the tire sidewalls smaller. Everybody knows about the Eco-boost V6. When I need a solid review of a Ford product, I'm going to trust the Ford salesman. Remote start is a stupid waste, just like 20-inch wheels. I know, I know, everybody has to have them now. They're trendy. "Let's go ahead an fold down . . . " Why not just say "Let's fold down"? What does "go ahead and" add to the sentence meaning? "I can walk up and go ahead and put my stuff in there"! Why "go ahead and"?!?! I know, it's trendy, like 20 inch wheels and remote start. "Let's go ahead and fold down the right . . ." Jesus. If you want a gas cap that locks, you have to buy one. Very useful information about how to start a car, and what head restraints (which are on EVERY vehicle) are for. "Let's go ahead and start over here on the drivers door . . ." One touch up sucks. Gee. It has a way to prevent kids from opening the power windows?!?!?! Hands free phone calling?!?! Good God, pretty soon we'll put a man on the moon! Oh my God, another 2-wheel drive SUV!!! What's the point of a two-wheel drive SUV?! That's a mini van with worse gas mileage. I guess I can forget my questions about locking axles, skid plates, minimum ground clearance, etc. My point is not that the Expedition is bad (I'd like some meaningful info on a 4X4), but that reviews like this, where they tell you what head restraints are for, are an utter waste of time.
I know I'm 8 years late, but you missed an Easter egg. If you hold the unlock button, the windows will roll down. If you hold the lock button when theyre down, they roll up. Most new high trim level cars have it, but for some reason, none advertise it
Now that's what you call a preview !!! very informative and inclusive. thanks Mike I am now really convinced of this SUV .
Looking at a 2016 and got to 25:00 and cried when I saw sub $2.00 gas prices.
My Favorite Trucks Ever !!!!!
Man you are really good at this , your videos are in-depth and great quality! Keep it up Mike!
+NMTW6 Thank you!
I have a 2004 right now, but tomorrow when I get my FEMA, I'll be buying this vehicle lol.
Very comprehensive tour. I have the Expedition's cousin, the Lincoln Navigator L, which has a few more luxury features, but many identical components.

I don't know why but I feel attracted to this car by its masculine design.
Thank you for summing up this beautiful truck i own a 2011 and its exactly how you described
Me too. I adore the Expedition 🎉🎉🎉
Awesome Review
Mike, great review. You helped me decide on getting this exact trim Expedition, in silver though.
I see so many yukon/tahoes on the road but why don't I ever see this?
Can't remember the last time I ever saw an Expedition going down the road
what an excellent video review!
An excellent review. Thank you.
Thank you! Just purchased one and this was very helpful.
Good work Mike, very informative video. I can tell u've put in a lot of effort. Keep up the good work!!!
Great and informative video as always!
nice work Mike keep it up you the best
+kelvin oliver Thanks Kelvin!
Great review! I enjoy all of your reviews! This is an awesome SUV.

Whay better than a Tahoe !!

We just purchased the EL version. Great for hauling a camper, very classy looking, tons of extras, very roomy.
Good tour. Thank you.
I like this car!
which is pretty cool lol. I have watched a bunch of your videos
i know i been bugging u about this before can u please do the Honda pilot elite i love ur videos
+ricky stewart I'll try :) thanks
this so similar to my 03 expedition
There is a hole or notch on the left side of the dash just below the left center vent. Is that for the fob or what.
This car is hot!
This truck is better than the Tahoe bc it's bigger. Would be super nice if it had a factory installed OnStar system.
OnStar is a General Motors system. Ford has the Microsoft SYNC system. Same features.
@@chrisgraham2904 no it’s not. Fords sync only works if your cell phone is connected to it via Bluetooth. Onstar is its own phone system with working phone number. Can you review EL version fo this car? (2016 Ford Expedition EL)
Nicholas Sherwood same thing but longer. Ta da.
how's the interior cabin noise level when driving 70mph? I currently have the 2014 f150 xlt and its extremelt noisy inside when driving above 60mph
They are very important for safety. properly known as head restraint nigh head rest.
Are you doing the Lincoln Navigator anytime soon?
Not anytime soon.
Amazing, thank you
is this for sale.
it was useful, thank you
Show the 2018 Expedition Limited or perhaps the Platinum.
It's awesome that the hood stays up by itself? ……..lol
I would rather have those hooks instead of those damping ones of overtime those will go back and let's say you got your hood up cuz u like to get dirty in the hood and the damps fail... 😵☠️ Lol maybe a combination of both damps and a hook would be dope hehe
OK thanks mike
Mike which car would you choose land cruiser or Ford Expedition
Both are way out of my price range so i never considered that question before. I guess I would go with the Land Cruiser if money wasn't a factor.
expedition
+the call of duty project 78 (CODY) no land cruiser is better because they have the V8 and 17 inch wheels
+the call of duty project 78 (CODY) the new expedition sucks with 20 inch wheels
+the call of duty project 78 (CODY) my father has the 2009 Ford Expedition it is a beast and it is a V8 the new ones suck
four wheel vented brakes?! Shoot that's revolutionary.
Yeah I know. He acts like that is such an invention.
how much is the cost
God I want one so bad!
شكرا لك ياصديقي

Nice car
Mike what is the color from inside the car
+Omar Noureldin It's called Dune, the other available interior colour is Ebony (Black).
is this the new sync 3 system?
+doodskie999 Yes
يعطيك العافية ومشكور
Love it
Thank you for watching and your feedback :)
My brother
When they were change it all?
In what year?
+Hemo Faqih I wish I knew :)
How many times can ford slap a new model year on a 10 year old design and still sell it? I'd wait for the full redesign

Can u please do a 2016 ford excursion
+MonsterJam Guy59 um those arent made anymore
+dylan bukovsky WHHHHHHAAAAATTTTTT lol I didn't know that srry
+MonsterJam Guy59
You'll need a time machine to do that.
Bob A Booey lol ikr
+MonsterJam Guy59 Think you mean Expedition EL - extended length? Stretched wheelbase version and more room - like an Excursion was compared to an standard length Expedition, but not based on an SD/F250 chassis like the Excursion.
4 wheel brakes.....wow! , and vented
Thats nothing but a 09 lincoln navigator exactly everything about it
good👍👍👍
Is this 2016?
+Hemo Faqih Yes
+MikesCarInfo Are you sure?😟
+Hemo Faqih www.inventory.ford.com/services/inventory/WindowSticker.pdf?vin=1FMJU1KT1GEF02109
+MikesCarInfo There is no difference in 2016 it is like2015
+Hemo Faqih Sync 3
You might see the steering wheel is like the 2010 to 2014 Ford F-150
Who is the stronger and good?
Toyota Sequoia Platinum 2015
Ford expedition Platinum 2015
sequoia
+sheldon blankenship he was also asking wich is stronger though
Ford Quality=Shit
+Hemo Faqih I'd take the Ford 10 times before I would take that hideous Sequoia (which has been less than reliable).
Idk about the reliability of the twin turbos but I like the expedition
Although, they are both dated, the Expedition is the winner.
Pls, how much does this car cost?
A little over 40k
+DJStayWavii thanks
I had an expedition for a month till I sold it and bought a 1973 Cadillac Fleetwood

If you want the same vehicle with upgraded detail features and real wood finishes, move up to the Expedition's cousin, the Lincoln Navigator.
Um its like The 2016 Yukon Denli the expediton is all that's is expedition has unfold power stepstool and denl has were on the key you can open the glass part of trunk
is there a V8 option?
No, Ford and Lincoln got rid of it when they refreshed those vehicles. So that's why there's only a 3.5 twin turbo V6.
Not anymore
They discontinue the v8 for the expedition and the navigator
Such a nice car but the exterior is still old and doesn't look like a 2016 car
Exactly how I feel
$1.90 per gal for gas.... lucky lol
Tony Brunson
I'm so disappointed in Ford for not updating the body on these things.
+Bob A Booey wait till next year hopefully. im really hoping we will see the 5.0L v8

im good with a new design, just dont make it all girly like nissan when they ruined the pathfinder
Omg Yess they solo ruined it but lucky I got the last manly version before they changed it
Maybe it's because it's mostly women who drive these cars.
