- Now this isn't something that you see everyday! Check out this Dodge Daytona racecar that I saw at Moparfest in New Hamburg, Ontario back in 2018. Not much is known about this car, so if you have any information please let me know in the comments. I heard this thing start up a few blocks away and ran over to the entrance just in time to see it pull in. What a sound! What's your favorite part about this rare Mopar? Let me know in the comments. The proportions are a bit off so this was probably a kit, despite that it still took time to build and it looks nice
"We have a Daytona at home"
The Daytona at home:
No way that's a real Daytona. Cool regardless though
It's probably a kit or a rebuilt one who knows
This was apparently raced back in the day, but I'm not sure what series.
My father who worked for Holman and Moody (FORD) back then told me that they were only raced in Cup and on Speedways . Is it possible it's a real one , for sure but it would definitely have a tracable linanage if it is because was so few of them . Current value ... hard to say but I'm thinking a million plus
(Edit) ON further review I think this is a clone , tribute car as I have seen 4 real ones in my life and 1 clone before and once yo have seen the real ones in person the clones are easily spotted . The A pillers on this car look all wrong .
@@Trackratz-zl9di Amazing information. Thanks!
Also, the back window is incorrect for a Superbird. @@Trackratz-zl9di
it kinda looks like a late model
daytona use steel cage back then? wow 😂
The racing versions did.
@@classiccarphoto101 it did? I'm not it's 100% original
@@Sosooxc I'm sure it wasn't raced in the class with Richard Petty. But, it was still raced. 100% original or not, still sounds great.
