2:11 THE RESULT IS NOT THE MAIN FOCUS
3:15 FOCUS ON WHAT DEPENDS ON YOU (attitude/self talk, body language - shoutout Rafa, plan/strategy/intention, etc.)
    5:48 INTENTION
9:22 DETAIL WHAT YOU CAN CONTROL (i.e. elaborate on the things that depend on you)
10:57 HAPPINESS CAN’T DEPEND ON RESULTS OR SOMEONE ELSE

This advice is THE BEST I have heard in a while. Playing a tournament tomorrow, and will have this mindset. Thankyou Patrick, this was golden.

For me one of the most practically useful, calming, and game improving tennis videos I've seen in 6 years. Used the advice today in a match and even when things were not working, I was able to keep trying stress free. Enjoyable, regardless of the result. It's how I want to play :) Merci beaucoup !

Yes very true, ✅your intention is very important. Champions say ...focus on each point. Stay in the zone...thats why Iga, Nadal...they have rituals to keep them focused on the game. 🏆 play practice like its a match, great tip 🥳

Think about this: Mindset/mental toughness affects 30-40% of your tennis game? If we practice 100% of the time, but we dont practice mental toughness, how are we going to win if we are just practicing tennis at 60-70%? you need to practice the other 30-40% with mental toughness EVERYDAY, and that is the only way that you can play at your 100%. I see all players practicing 100%, but they forget about mental toughness, how are you going to win if you are at your 60%, without practicing your mental toughness at least 1-2 hrs? This was KEY for me. If you put effort every day in your mental toughness, you might reach the 100% one day. Even though myself i practice 15-20 min everyday, still at my 80%, so i need to do more mental.

As a coach this is the most stressful issue for me. If it is stressful for me to have an incredible practice session and my player hitting their absolute best followed by a match where both of us are wondering why the worst is happening, then I can't imagine the stress on my player. Lol, I am beginning to worry that when they are able to focus on playing their best and not the results/score, that there is a new stress of not playing their best.
