I have developed multiple serves in highschool, and they were decent serves. They were tricky and I got a decent amount of service aces with them. But when I saw one guy do a tomahawk for the first time ever at our school gym, i never looked back.
It isn't that difficult to pull off when you have some practice. I used to do it. But the problem I had was that I sucked after they recieve. I never took advantage of the loose ball just played it safe agains so the serve wasnt fully utilized by me.

Three-ball attack isn't just a strategy, it's a state of mind that you develop. Since my only plan after serve was to _attack,_ no matter what the return, I was in no position _not_ to take advantage of the 'loose' ball. If the ball did not come long for a fast loop, or high for loop kill, I would still flip, flick, or punch a short return.
People who intend to move ahead toward stronger players in the future can't develop by assuming that a lot of tricky serves are going to win a significant number of automatic points outright. They will meet higher-tier players who can return anything and players with antispin and long-pips who can return almost anything and with interest.
@@-danR Hence my downfall in the game just played it safe. Never achieved anything significant was just a an average player with few upsets here and there in the circuit. I quit the game quite early and went full into studies. Even though my thinking capabilities was above most of the best players in the state, I was easily beat down by superior talent, hardwork and better gameplay. I gave my try in the sport, I failed hard, was it a waste of time? maybe but ig it did play big part in what I am now.
wow, that serve of Ding Ning (2:15) completely the other side of the bat to what I expected.
There is no friction in it, so its a topspin serve
She is the founder
Matsudaira's reverse tomahawk serve is my favourite to watch ... So far it is also my favourite to do in game 😁
This is by far my most favourite serve to perform
Same
Those serves are amazing to see, but there are just a few useful in game. Most of them are just too much of effort for the player who made that serve and he/she must quickly adapt for return.
Look at Ding Ning serves. Of course it requires effort, but it's just so damn powerful.
That's exactly what I thought. They are very aesthetic, but are they really that efective?
They are a little more, but not _much_ . I'm almost 74 and I can still do a tomahawk serve, fh or bh side. If you want to see effort, watch Ovtcharov's backhand serve. Or Calderano's _return_ of serve stance.
@@gregoryacevedo1720 They are effective if produced only a few times in a match. They are a change-up serve.
I wish I could develop a decent tomahawk
Who says you can't?
Thank you, Mo. I'll start working on it
Nice
The intro tho
average serve, it's just spectacular to watch.

Why the fuck i am the only One Who hit the fucking table with a lot of Power and miss the ball
Wow! (2:15)

Это что за ещё слово такое? В смысле понты?
@@adilet2370в смысле по скромнее нужно себя вести
Most annoying type of serve to receive
It's easy if you understand how it works
The only serve I know (with variations)
@@blueheart9873 explain how to return it?
@@zincwarehouse Hold your bat at the same angle and don't hit the ball too hard
