Left handed Tomahawk = Ding Ning Right handed Tomahawk = Matsudaira Thanks a lot for the instructions, Yangyang! Very clear and didactic. Amazing video!
i messed around with that a while ago ... for me the most successful version is: Go even lower on the contact point and let the ball fall on the backhand rubber while giving it a side-back-spin handwrist .... Incredible amount of spin and tends to go on opponents backhand shortly behind the net .... you can rather likely attack the rebound if it gets on and get a point in contact 3!
Well you’re understating the complexity of the serve there. Ding Ning’s serve is about the last second choice to be forehand and backhand with the same lead up and she bends down low with her legs. It is a very athletic serve where she is square to the table.
Thanks coach for this amazing video, would like to see serves of Ma Long and Timo Boll. People please like my comment so coach agrees for the video. ✌️
awesome, thanks! a quick question: does this always generate long ball serving, like in your demo? or you can still do short serve with some adjustment? if so, how to do short serve?
only sidespin topspin is demonstrated, you will receive an attack from the opponent on this type of serve. this serve should be mixed with sidespin backspin which most professionals usually use to not get attacked right after the serve
Left handed Tomahawk = Ding Ning
Right handed Tomahawk = Matsudaira

Great tutorial as always! Need help to understand how this serve can be done for doubles game, where serve is from the right side of the table.
i can do it now thanks to this video!
Need to practice a lot... Bit tricky... Thanks from India
Thank you. I was able to learn it from you.

Bagus 👍
It surely looks easy, but hard to do! Thanks.
Instructions unclear, ball took too much spin, it destroyed opponent's blade and hopes
And
They had us in the first half; not gunna lie.
I hit the edge of my blade every time 😂
try feeling like you are hitting across the back of the ball instead of purely on the side
Thank you for your video! I would like to know more about how to create variations for this serve?
Thank you for a very well done and informative total tutorial!
Very strong and effective serve, thanks for awesome lesson.
Great coaching
Do you try to aim for one side of the table over the other? Do you prefer adding any top or backspin?
Great video! Thanks

YangYang 妳好 想請問妳既然有下蹲發球的教學
可是我看妳的比賽的影片 從來沒看妳使用過 連偶爾都沒有
是有甚麼原因嗎?
Thanks Yangyang, nice tips and coaching.
awesome, thanks! a quick question: does this always generate long ball serving, like in your demo? or you can still do short serve with some adjustment? if so, how to do short serve?
Nguyen Anh Quynh I think the power of the serve comes from the speed of the ball, a short serve with only side spin is not that hard to hit.
so just use less power to generate short serve, right?
Not necessarily. If you purely brush and don't hit the ball as hard, you can generate good spin but shorter.
I do both of them.
I use it with smaller swing and more wrist and i can create a lot of spin and shorten the ball .Is it fine
Good morning mam
Is personal online Table tennis coaching available.
When clock hands move, is it a right spin or left spin?
right
Good
Very nice dear
Thank u..
You need to get even more low to perform that serve correctly and also it should be more slower and with backspin
Ok Kenta Matsudaira
You can make it either with backpsin-sidespin, sidespin or topspin-sidespin.
@yangyang TT... A good Tomahawk Serve should be short. Why Yours is long ? A good player will attack your long Tomahawk serve.
only sidespin topspin is demonstrated, you will receive an attack from the opponent on this type of serve. this serve should be mixed with sidespin backspin which most professionals usually use to not get attacked right after the serve
Bravo
first :)
That is not the real one
But good try
This serve is hard
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
