I love that you guys are somewhat hard on Disney restaurants. Most other reviews that I watch rave about everything and oh, you should try this, and oh you'll love that, and well the price may be high but after all you are at Disney World. You sound a lot more believable because you don't make every meal you review sound like its the best! Thanks for your honest reviews.
After 32 vacations at WDW, we ate at Sanaa for the first time during our March '24 trip. Not only was it the best meal of our stay, it is now my absolute favorite restaurant on property. The butter chicken is to die for and we all thought the bread service alone was worth the trip. The ambience and service was outstanding and raises this meal to the level of an experience. Even though our commute via shuttle from Animal Kingdom Lodge was convenient, we will be returning to Sanaa every trip, regardless of our choice of accommodations. Highest recommendation possible!
Honestly I can't believe that they rated ambience so harshly. It is literally one of my favorite places on property. Then again, my other 2 favorites are Boma and Tiffins, so I guess I have a type 😜😜
If you are solo or a smaller party or you want a little hit of the bread service without committing to the whole orders worth, they do have a smaller version where you can pick something like two breads and three dips (not 100% on those numbers) and it’s great. Only downside, you do have to know which ones you want!
Thanks for the updated review! Getting in the time machine, here. Fav DIS Dining Show review of this restaurant was when Charles, Steve and Shawn were there and they were trying to review the food over the loud (Janice from Friends) man laughing annoyingly in the background. I always watch that again when I need a giggle.
I love the bread service!!! Even my picky sons love it!!!! We always get garlic and traditional naan. Its amazing!! And they have the best burger on property at lunch!!!
My friend and I were just there last Monday on our way out and we got the bread service and split the kids portion of the butter chicken and it was still too much food! You need several people to split that wonderful food!! My fav!!
It's been years since we've been to Sanaa! I would like to go back one of these days...maybe the ambiance will be better for us. I didn't notice it being weird, but it was on our first trip to Disney World, so I was just in awe of everything at that point.
We love the bread service there - but I do think the point is getting to do the "tour" of flavors (as Craig called it) ... if you aren't interested in that and just want one naan and one dip to have for yourself then obviously this isn't the app for you, but I think for most groups, getting one to share and getting to try all the different flavors is what they love and makes it feel "vacationy" vs just a meal in your neighborhood
We had lunch there in 2022 and my teenage daughter really wanted to try it for the bread service. “The internet“ said it was a must! There was a local Indian restaurant with a lunch buffet until the pandemic and we knew we liked divide-by-zero and Tim curry (an-tic-i--pation) and sure we planned on going to AK that day based on our reservation for the reason stated in the review- short bus ride over… it was that or after 9pm or nothing for the week we’d be there. And didn’t feel comfy with her and her friend in the bar area so we got a table for when we could. So it was nice. I liked it. It was much better than Cats. I think most everything to eat is overhyped at Disney. Often really good but rarely knock my socks off. Having said that, the next trip a year later (again Easter vacation time) we ate at Skipper Canteen and I tried the lamb chops even though I’ve never thought much of them the few times I’ve seen them on a menu. Wow! Had to come back for it again in 2024 and the roasted cauliflower served with it in 2024 also blew me away. I hate broccoli and cauliflower. EXCEPT this. I had to ask how they made it. I’m still trying to nail it down. On the other hand, we went to Be Our Pest (and didn’t see Remy!) and … meh … I can at least say we tried it. I’d been wanting to try Chefs De France forever and last year we did and on my insistence. I loved it but my daughter loved it more. Puts B.O.G. to shame. Never heard people posting how you just HAVE to try it. I just was curious. Wish I’d tried it sooner. So yeah babe true to your tastebuds. Don’t be lured in by influencers. If anything simply watch these dining reviews and take them with a grain of salt as they say.
thank you for using proper microphones in the restaurant! So many reviews are hindered by sound/lack of decent audio that instantly makes me click off lol xx
Sanaa was absolutely top 2 for me and my wife. The naan was fantastic and meals were good, but the dessert is just special. We both adored the desserts there.
This is the most mixed review of Sanaa I think I’ve ever seen. I’m a big Sanaa and bread service fan. But I appreciate the honest opinions! I’ve only ever seen HUGELY POSITIVE reviews across the internet, but I’m sure there’s plenty of people who have gone to Sanaa and ended up being disappointed or thinking it was a bit overhyped. We need more reviews like this so people can get a better idea of what they’re getting in to if they eat at Sanaa!
Pro tip with the Potjie... Pour the three bowls onto the bottom plate in vertical lines with the rice in the middle. You can then easily combine the different foods in different ways each bite.
We went to Sanaa in September 2023 for the first time and agree that it is overhyped, however, the Piña CoLava drink was good....we preferred The Mara for all of our meals at Animal Kingdom lodge....didn't get to try Boma or Jiko.
Wow! You are a tough crowd, but I’m happy to here the desserts are fabulous. Sanaa is one of our faves. It’s Disney, so, of course the food, especially anything traditionally containing hot spices, is toned down or “whitewashed”. But, it’s still good. And, it’s such a special treat to watch the animals when you only get to Disney once a year or once every few years. I think locals sometimes forget how special that kind of thing is for those of us that don’t live nearby. BTW, I love that zebra dress!
Agree about the naan being what I call overcooked. It used to be so soft and pliable but I declared myself done with the bread service on our most recent trip. We sent some back because it was more like pizza crust than naan. But the replacements were the same. So sad since it used to be our favorite.
Maybe the bread service has become lax over the years because it has been so popular, I really loved it pre-pandemic. The entrees have always been in those bowls, it’s probably a cultural thing, and for me it just means that the dishes are not being mixed until you are served. I don’t remember the desserts, but I will definitely have to try them on my next visit.
Thank youuuu Ryno & Craig for saying it, I thought I was going crazy bc I went to Sanaa for my birthday to finally try this bread service that people RAVE over. I was so completely stumped when we finally got to try it, it was the biggest WOMP WOMP I’ve ever tasted in my life. Next to the cheeseburger pods at Satuuli.
My family and I will not return to Sanaa. We've dined at this restaurant twice. Our servers were not attentive, friendly, informative, and helpful, very disappointing. The meals were disappointing. Too expensive to justify the quality and taste. We love the resort but will not return to dine at Sanaa.
I love Sanaa but I don’t understand why the bread service is such a big deal. You can get it at your local Indian restaurant. And Orlando has many of them. (Indian food is my favorite.)
I had a similar experience on my last visit. I found it to be very underwhelming. Also there were fences in front of the windows so we couldn't see the animals at all.(which was because of a reconstruction but that was not communicated beforehand otherwise we wouldn't have visited.
Agree with you Ryno--the bread service is "just okay." Not to be an a-hole, but I think it's because a lot of the people frequenting Disney don't regularly eat beyond basic American flavors so the accompaniments taste very good to them. In reality they are fairly bland lol.
In the UK we call it “rocket” ☺️ Also I’ve never understood the bread service either?? We eat so much Indian in the uk and just eat a naan with our meal? It would be poppadums we use with different dips….
I always ask to wait for a window seat. Yes, the bread service is not better than my local Indian restaurant. I always like it…maybe dinner is better? A different menu at night.
I’m the opposite of Craig on this one. I go there for the bread service and don’t really care for the entrees. I do enjoy the burger on the lunch menu though.
If you say “straight up”, my mind is immediately going to go to Paula Abdul, so thanks and you’re welcome for that ear worm, esp at 0623 west coast time. 😂Good review. We’ve been to Sanaa…pretty much agree with everything you said, esp re: the bread service (sorry Hannah) 😉I can see why people like it and we’ll prbly return, but it is just “good”. I do, however, NEED that PB White Russian.
I got the bread service one time and it was delicious. I dragged my family there after bragging about it for months and it was crunchy and stale. Disappointing.
Did you ever find tres leches? FYI, it's a Mexican dessert. 😂you aren't going to find it on the Indian menu. But it is at maya grill. They also have cuarto leches at Frontera cocina and cornbread tres leches at la hacienda de San angel and san angel inn restaurant. Can't verify how good any of those are so I'm gonna need you to do a "tres leches only" review. 😂 preferably in the next 6 months lol
I don't understand the presentation scores. I don't get complaining about a bowl of rice. A bowl is a bowl. As long as the food isn't spilled all over the table what can you expect when it is a soup or something that is bowl oriented.
I totally disagree with your negative review of the bread service. I respect your opinion, but for me i love it and even go to the bar and order the bread service with a painted lemur cocktail to sip.
Dude, the live animals are the “characters”. I don’t think you should include the character interaction category when it’s not a place that features characters.
We hated Sanaa. Worst dining experience we have ever had on property. Our food was the closest thing to inedible we have ever had at any restaurant. The bread service was also incredibly overrated.
We mostly stopped because we were taking way too long at the table by recording those moments versus recording our thoughts on the food while waiting for the next courses. It wasn't fair to servers that we were taking too long and it allows us to maximize our time.
hmm...you gave it a 7 out of 10 basically because it was too quiet, you didn't see any animals, and the bread was crispy? It's obvious that you went in with an agenda. And then worded your title as negative as possible to get more people to watch it. Aren't you guys the same ones that dissed Beauty and the Beast a few years back?
I love that you guys are somewhat hard on Disney restaurants. Most other reviews that I watch rave about everything and oh, you should try this, and oh you'll love that, and well the price may be high but after all you are at Disney World. I have never been there we usually do Boma but I would try it on my next trip

Appreciate the honesty. I find too many people give Disney higher reviews just because they're eating overpriced food in a decent location.
Thanks for the updated review! Getting in the time machine, here. Hannah is such a great addition to the crew!
We go out of our way to go to Sanaa just for the bread service. Every. Single. Trip. It is a must do for us. We LOVE it!!!
FACTS
I have never heard of another person used the term "pot liqueur". Okay, you are a beautiful a❤ southern girl!
Couldn’t agree more.
Your dining reviews have been top notch! You all have done a really good job over the last 9 months or whatever it’s been
I love the bread service!!! Even my picky sons love it!!!! We always get garlic and traditional naan. Its amazing!! And they have the best burger on property at lunch!!!
I’m with Hannah. Love the bread service. Also we really like the African theme and animals. We are very comfortable there.
My friend and I were just there last Monday on our way out and we got the bread service and split the kids portion of the butter chicken and it was still too much food! You need several people to split that wonderful food!! My fav!!

The subtle Rocky horror picture show reference was awesome.
Do you have any tattoos? (Frank asking Janet)

Ha! I think I caught a Dr. Frank N Furter reference...

I never hate you all for your opinions ❤ I appreciate your input and realness🎉 I am going to Sanaa in a few weeks so this is perfect timing 💖
A 4 for ambiance??? What????always ask for a window table and enjoy the savanna...
Sanaa was absolutely top 2 for me and my wife. The naan was fantastic and meals were good, but the dessert is just special. We both adored the desserts there.
I saw a Sysco truck when I was just staying in Four Corners and immediately thought of Craig because he always references them. 😂
I'm with Ryno on the bread service. It was cold.

Thank you for another wonderful video! The .Naan looks amazing! 🙏🙏
Love this. Rockit is another word for Arugula. Sanaa on my list to try at WDW.
At least there are still one or two Disney restaurants that include bred service with your meal.
Craig is getting creative with the video titles 😂 appreciate you
Agree about the naan being what I call overcooked. It used to be so soft and pliable but I declared myself done with the bread service on our most recent trip. I love that resturant
I think its funny Ryno couldn't figure out that rocket is another name for arugula
Americans…amirite?
@@patbenatarscleftchin1524 given I'm an American. no..... no you're not.
Rocket isn’t all that common a term in the US. It’s actually taken from the French “roquette”.
The pasty chef should be Lexi, she opened Topolino's who also has amazing desserts!
My family and I will not return to Sanaa. We've dined at this restaurant twice. Our servers were not attentive, friendly, informative, and helpful, very disappointing. The meals were disappointing. Too expensive to justify the quality and taste.

Great review!
The Jenny Nicholson Video on The Star wars Hotel , She Mentioned Disney Vlogger in her in-depth Review ,
I went to Sanaa with girlfriends several years ago. Not one of us was a fan of the bread service. You aren't alone, Craig!
Just a guess. Are you American?
Best burger on property!!++
Good review! I think they should give you way more Naan than they do...just me.
U can order extra. We do all the time
If you say “straight up”, my mind is immediately going to go to Paula Abdul, so thanks and you’re welcome for that ear worm, esp at 0623 west coast time. 😂Good review. We’ve been to Sanaa…pretty much agree with everything you said, esp re: the bread service (sorry Hannah) 😉I can see why people like it and we’ll prbly return, but it is just “good”. I do, however, NEED that PB White Russian.
Ryno couldn’t be more wrong about the bread service, it is worth going to Sanaa just for it.
Everyone looks good and enjoyed the vid and food
If you want to just order one piece of naan bread, you can! No need to get the entire bread service if you don’t want that much.
I got the bread service one time and it was delicious. I dragged my family there after bragging about it for months and it was crunchy and stale. Disappointing.
So they just call it a mai tai because there’s rum in it? Otherwise that drink has nothing in common with a mai tai.
Did you ever find tres leches? FYI, it's a Mexican dessert. 😂you aren't going to find it on the Indian menu. But it is at maya grill. Restaurants must cringe when Ryno shows up. Chances are very high there will be several complaints.
My family loves Sanaa, including the bread service, and I love Ryno! He cracks me up every time. 😂🫶🏽
I don't understand the presentation scores. I don't get complaining about a bowl of rice. A bowl is a bowl. As long as the food isn't spilled all over the table what can you expect when it is a soup or something that is bowl oriented.
Went recently and unfortunately agree with the service, it wasn’t up to standards. The bread service however, you are wrong. It’s fantastic.
I totally disagree with your negative review of the bread service. I respect your opinion, but for me i love it and even go to the bar and order the bread service with a painted lemur cocktail to sip.
The Dis-Unlimited "cooking" Disney one restaurant at a time.
Dude, the live animals are the “characters”.
I don’t think you should include the character interaction category when it’s not a place that features characters.
Can you do eet? I am curious.
How could Craig and Ryno be so off base from the average Sanaa guests on the bread service?
You didn’t ask for the secret sauce for the bread service. Pili Pili is the sauce
Didn't know about it - they should get rid of one of the lesser sauces and put it on the board.
Would you skip this bread & have the breads at Eet instead? ❤
I wouldn't necessarily eat that bread service either, but eet is a better restaurant.
Bread service was underwhelming. Also I was disappointed with the butter chicken.
We hated Sanaa. Worst dining experience we have ever had on property. Our food was the closest thing to inedible we have ever had at any restaurant. The bread service was also incredibly overrated.
was that a Rocky Horror reference?🤣
what happened to the first bite segment?
We mostly stopped because we were taking way too long at the table by recording those moments versus recording our thoughts on the food while waiting for the next courses. It wasn't fair to servers that we were taking too long and it allows us to maximize our time.
Ryno is turning into a grumpy old man. Sanaaa is great. The bread service is awesome. Ryno seems to be looking for problems that aren’t there.
No disrespect, but I love that the gentleman who was sitting behind Hannah looked like a real life version of the Muppet, Beaker.
LMAO
Sanaa bread service is not that good & way over hyped. Boma is so much better.
Sanaa is overrated. Not worth traveling to AKL for it. Boma is actually the star at this hotel.
hmm...you gave it a 7 out of 10 basically because it was too quiet, you didn't see any animals, and the bread was crispy? It's obvious that you went in with an agenda. And then worded your title as negative as possible to get more people to watch it. Aren't you guys the same ones that dissed Beauty and the Beast a few years back?
Hey Craig I thought you had said you were not going to wear a hat indoors anymore
28:54 "empty" 🤣
I'm one of the haters. Too much spice for my senitive tummy.
the bread service is over rated at Sanaa
Had to turn this one off…couldn’t take all the ummmmmms coming from Hannah.
