- We recently had a room at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort in the classic rooms, NOT Gran Destino Tower, and we're breaking down the four reasons why you might want to avoid staying in those classic rooms at Coronado Springs as a whole, but we also give you plenty of reasons why it's not a bad idea to stay at the hotel.

Ryno starting the room tour by appearing from behind the curtains is the content I subscribe for.
Me too!
“Do we have Jesus in the drawer?” Ryno is a national treasure.
Ryno, your hotel tour is perfection. I don't want to watch anyone else.
I need more room reviews from Ryno 😂 love the bit of him coming out from the curtains as opposed the doorway. Craig! How do you film and NOT laugh from all the jokes Ryno makes?
Ryno's tour cracked me up
Me too! I died laughing when he said youvould eat spaghetti off of him
I think Ryno must have been a comedian in a past life 😂😂. His room tours always crack me up, such quick witted humor! We were in Disneyland the same week and a little bummed that we didn't run into him. Would have loved to tell him how integral he is to this show and channel!!!
Omg, ryno emerging from the curtain for the room tour made me laugh out loud! I love the sense of humor from this team 💕
I accidentally bought this book! Again, I thought it was a murder mystery not romance!!! Atleast it’s providing many conversational pieces 😂 thanks for the shout out guys! After my first stay here, I’m glad I checked it out but I wouldn’t come back unless I got a great deal.
I disagree. I've stayed at Coronado Springs hotel several times. I've had a very nice experience every visit.
I have stayed there several times and I love it. Loved the rooms, the restaurants, the pool, the grounds.I barely have ever waited for a bus and mouse keeping was on point . This is one of my favorite resorts!
I stayed here and the bus service was horrendous. So many stops and waiting for buses was very long.
I stayed there and the buses took forever. I’m glad your experience was better.
I loved Ryno’s room tour! 👏😂
I stay in casitas and it was great. 3 bridges is great, but other places are lacking. Buses worked great and walking through Grand Destino back through the shops was fun.
Best room review ever! 😂😂
The under test was the best
I respectfully disagree with all of your reasons for disliking this resort. My husband and I love the size, we don't feel the walking is too much. The theming is fabulous and we love all of the buildings. All of the rooms were recently renovated and are really nice. Not every resort needs to be over the top Disney themed. We much prefer the more reserved decor. Hannah - it is much better then a Hilton Garden Inn. The dining is great and I am not talking Grand Destino. We have been staying at this resort for years and enjoy all of the restaurants. The Maya Grill is delicious and El Mercado has good quick service food. Frankly I don't enjoy 3 Bridges. Who wants to eat and drink outside when it is hot out (which it always is when we are there). I have nothing against the food there, it is very good but I have no desire to eat at a sit down restaurant that is outside in the heat. We have no issues with the proximity to things on Disney property. The busses get me where I need to go and I am in no hurry. I have to say I almost want people to keep saying all the things they think are reasons not to stay there. Then it will be less crowded when I am there.
I love seeing your personalities come through so much more than previously! So much more fun now!
I just recently stayed at this resort and I usually stay at pop or AOA but I absolutely loved this resort!! Love that I can check the bus schedule on the app! It is a huge resort but I need the pool and the bus and they are perfectly located!!! I have already rebooked for next year at Coronado! I do need Ryno do show me all the rooms on Disney world property!
LOL. Ryno's room tours are the best!. :)
Oooo I’m SO excited for the Three Bridges review!!!
Although as much as I miss the super secret special guest, I LOVE what Hannah brings to this group! A food review with Hannah and her predecessors would be super fun.
Great Episode, I really like the flow of this one as well as the chatting live option. ( I didn't care so much for the "shaky cam" room vid.) Props to Ryno for checking for dust. I say expand it more and check for cleanliness in the fridge and drawers etc. too. Heck, get him one of those devices that check bacteria counts too. With so many people traveling here from around the world, the quick room change overs and everything from M pox to Covid to worry about, seeing low bacterial readings in the Disney rooms (and the the pillow you lay your head) might help make up some of the value that was diminished when we lost Magical Express, luggage delivery and airline check in at the resort. 😁
This was great!
Who painted the Ursula picture behind Craig? Ryno....? I know he's very talented!
I stayed in Cabanas last August and loved it! I made sure to put in that request because it is closest to GDT
All of Ryno's room reviews should be like this.
My family stayed there gracious way before Covid and we loved it
That was before Covid.😮
I can always count on Ryno to make me laugh. I love his room tours. The spaghetti comment had me rolling 😂
Upon our most rescent stay we tried the Maya Grill and it was horrible. The Rix has also gone down hill.
You guys are so funny- this was great
Ryno, did the room get cool enough for sleeping. We like it on the cool side. And we have noticed a lot of Disney resorts the past year, like AOA and Saratoga, now have the high setting on the thermostat disabled. So the AC can only blow out low or medium speed. Not fun trying to fall asleep while warm. Anyone else having this issue? Or can anyone recommend a Disney resort with good AC and one that doesn’t work on a motion sensor?
Thanks for the heads up about Saratoga!
We stayed at Wilderness Lodge this year and that room got really cold at night! We booked 2 queen beds and the bed furthest from the door has the vent blowing right on you. I like to sleep in a cool room too so I was fine with it! Beach club villas and boulder ridge are ok but those rooms never got cold. Just ok cool enough at night but I would've preferred it even cooler.
@@lizw8663 Thank you for the tips!
Could the subdued decor be due to the convention clientele?
Just tuning back in. Congrats on the studio and a solid entertaining cast.
This is my favorite room tour ever. 😂
I LOVE the size of this resort. We try to stay at Cabanas and liberally use Bell Services. I've also stayed at Caribbean Beach and don't like it at all. But the way CSR is laid out, I absolutely love it. If I was trying to do consecutive park days, I'd stay cheaper, but when I'm spending as much time at the resorts as the parks, I will take CSR every time. The beach section with hammocks, the pool area, all the walks and the ambiance, it's paradise. I request Cabanas because it's WAY closer to everything I want to do, so I would never pay for preferred. The bus situation was fantastic. Never waited long. And all the food was amazing.
The room tour made my laugh!
Review without Gran Destino? How does that make any sense? What’s next, are you going to review Beach Club without stormalong bay or Boardwalk without the Boardwalk?
Watch it and let us know!
I stayed there in 2018 and loved it the rooms were upgraded had no issues with the room or staff. Would I stay there again you bet I would
Ryno’s room tour with karate type action😂
I agree with pretty much everything you guys said. The Grand Destino Tower is definitely the place to stay at Coronado👍
Just a question. Is this considered this week’s Tuesday show? Or was that canceled this week?
This is this week’s show because Hannah and Ryno are at Disneyland.
@@DISUnlimited thanks for the prompt reply!
Coronado Springs is mine & my friends fave (the tower)!! It’s a chill place to get tapas & margs on the lake at night. The rooms we’ve always had were huuuge, so clean & cutely themed w/ Walt portraits & Spanish-inspired artwork inspired by DisneyxSalvador Dali’s short
Coronado is actually my favorite mid level resort.
I LOVE Amanda's earrings!!!!! I WANT
Ryno you crack me up. Lol
Great review! If we forget Destino exists, absolutely not. I did consider it for my birthday trip, but I ended up going with the Swan, this review has convinced me I made the right choice. I am part of small niche demographic- the solo female Disney adult. I solo travel beyond Disney, am comfortable traveling solo, but I am cautious. As such, having easily accessible bars and lounges is essential. I don’t want to sit in my room alone with a bottle of $12 wine, but also don’t want to have to navigate transportation alone and tipsy.
I stayed here in 2021 (in the Gran Destino tower to be specific) and we LOVED it! I’ve stayed at 3 Disney resorts so far and this was my favorite. Yes, I had the advantage of being in the more luxurious Gran Destino Tower, but really love the beauty of this property. The pool is amazing and the whole resort takes on a unique beauty at night when the lights are on. The only negative for me is that it’s not close to most of the parks. The size of the resort is not an issue for me because I love walking.
Had a similar experience navigating Saratoga Springs.
You should post that room tour as a seperate "Foolish Room Tour" over on the DIS channel!
Hi
Hey you three, you gotta mix in change of shirts!! 😜
This is our favorite moderate resort as it feels really close to a deluxe resort. I especially like how the rooms are themed so I don't get the criticism on that part. Just look at the Contemporary what too much Disney IP-theming can do. Those rooms are hideous and feel budget while it is a deluxe resort.
This was hilarious
The Drop Dead Fred reference…. Amazing.
Grand Destino is really lovely. However - the pool is the least shaded place on the planet and zero umbrella's are provided. The bars and restaurants all use pre-mixed drinks, too, which is such a shame!!
No umbrellas??????? What the! Just like Disney makes it so people have to eat over trash cans for the Epcot festivals
I watched the bartender make my cocktail at Dahlia Lounge, the Gran Gin Tonic. Soooo good
Part of de-theming I think was removing the soft surfaces that are home to bed bugs. Still…staying on property is about being in the bubble. The bubble largely includes theme.
I have no idea what you are talking about with the dining! Yes, el Mercado stinks. I never eat there. Rix, Cafe Rix, Toledo, Three Bridges, and Maya are all really excellent. Like, best resort food of any moderate by far.
Maya Grill is a hidden gem at Disney. I have gone multiple times in the last few years. The food is much better than most "Mexican" places.
We’ve had great experiences at the Coronado, both the casitas and the tower. We’ve stayed at the Lodge, Kingdom all the way to the campground. Our choice has remained the Coronado.
I can’t believe Ryno goes under the bed when he’s such a clean guy. I don’t even let my luggage go under the bed. I always bring dryer sheets and wipe around my luggage and put one on the sheet at foot and head level. Read about that somewhere years ago just always do that, in case of bugs. I never see bugs. I stayed here with my youngest son and we liked it. Before the 3 Bridges and Tower. The food was average then but busses were really fast coming back from parks. One time I thought we just missed it but when I looked back there was another pulling in.
Ryno channeling his inner Forky
Old Coronado needs more colors. Rino is spot on with the yellow dingy washed out look interior and exterior.
So waiting for Teresa to come back hopefully she is recovering from her kidney stones!
I disagree with Hannah, after staying there last June getting a pool chair was impossible. Unfortunately, people plop their stuff on the chairs and never return. Also, mouse keeping was nonexistent. Our room needed servicing and instead housekeeping just gave me a bag of supplies.
Is this the new Tuesday format or is this a one off Tuesday review?
It’s not a one off review as we will keep reviewing hotels, but this is in place of the show while Hannah and Ryno are in CA.
I stayed at this resort.I would never choose to stay here again. It had broken drink machines, bad mouse keeping and very slow busing. The food court was not good either. There were a few bugs when we would arrive back at night every night. The room was not updated or hardly ever touched by mouse keeping. The A/c did not work right either. We have stayed at pop century many times, and enjoyed that resort much more, at a cheaper price. On most of our trips we have stayed at the wildernsss lodge, which my family and I love. In my opinion, this did not feel like a Disney resort.
good to know!
Why don’t you get in your spaceship Mick Mouse?
Yeah Coronado proper is horrible. But Grand Destino is beautiful and quite nice. But yeah it’s not my favourite resort
Have stayed in both the original section and Gran Destino - -one and done for both. Not fans of this resort at all. Too chaotic with all the conventioneers, awful dining, too spread out.
good to know
@@hairdresser1300 Have been visiting WDW Resort since 1972 from NY/NJ and are now retired in Tampa Bay. Hubby & I are AP Holders and "Staycation" often!! Top choices are AKL, WL and Poly!!
@@helenebassin8608 I agree with your choices!!!! We have stayed at all your fav's back during the recession when the deals were good! Congrats on retirement
@@hairdresser1300 Thanks so much!!
BTW - where are you a Hairdresser? Our Florida Daughter is a Hairdresser here in Tampa!!
Huh, I didn’t expect the hotel room to look so bland.
The food court was👎🏼
9:51 - you're welcome everyone!
Dude that’s a shocking haircut!!! Did your mom cut it for you?
It's a fine haircut ,the front just needs to be pushed up/back or to the side. Everyone is allowed to try something new
That’s not new, that’s from the 50’s
I stayed at Coronado springs last year and overall thought it was good! There were two negatives: I was placed in the ranchos section and it was faaar from el Mercado and the main building! Second, el Mercado closes for a few hours in the afternoon! My family and I wanted to have a meal at around 3 before we left for our flight and we were shocked we couldn't! Three bridges was also closed at that time so we had to wait a while for a table at rix's. Quick service restaurants should not be closed mid-afternoon in my opinion.
