- Опубліковано 1 чер 2022
- Handry from @mysecondplant is obsessed with scindapsus, especially variegated ones. He has been experimenting, collecting, propagating, and trading them before they were even a thing. In this episode, I visit his collection and ask him everything there is to know about variegated scindapsus.

Love that he uses his platform to show us other cool people
😀😀
I always have curiosity on these videos, they are helpful and showcasing real honest people who are selling plants. I worry about ones I've never heard of, because there are scammers out there, but this shows amazing honest people. So thank you.
I love that he’s passionate about his collection and improving the genus instead of being 💰💵💸greedy. Thanks for sharing ❤
❤️❤️
I like his set up for propagating and growing on. He packs a lot of plants in a small space. Interesting way of making moss poles. Love his love for his plants!
I loved this video !!! I also love to propagate. This guy has an incredible talent and knowledge. I don't know how you were able to stand still and video. I was like Oh My God. Can't wait to watch the next video !!!
I love his confidence and his English sounds natural too. And ofc beautiful plants
Beautiful plants, lots of inspiration. Thank you Sean, can’t wait for part 2.
second part is up tonight 😀
Wow, so cool! Love what he’s doing. Just have to admire his collection! Can’t wait for part 2. :)
Came here to say the same. You can really feel his passion and love for his plants. Thanks for always taking us with you on these visits!
Amazing collection! Thanks so much for sharing with us. Can't wait for part 2
I m in love with scindapsus after this video!! Thank Handry for all his efforts and dedication into growing this beautiful species! And of course thank you Sean for introducing us to this guy and his gorgeous plants!
😀😀
This is so cool because this is how I propagate most of my plants. I do the same start set up (semi hydro) because it has the most success rate with my environment. Now I have to get better at transitioning them into bigger containers. I definitely slack on that. Those larger containers with the moss is brilliant! Thank you so much for sharing.
Thank you for sharing Handry's amazing collection with us! It's so cool to see the different ways people grow their plants. I'm definitely going to be trying the leca/sphagnum moss jars for my scindapsus in the future!
Try different methods, find one that suits you 😀
Please do try it, the most important think is to learn new whys.
I love this. I was just admiring my scindapsis plants today that are loving their lives outside on my front porch. I live in Canada so it’s interesting to see this young guy enjoying his Scindapsis on his balcony in an entirely different country and climate than what I have. Very interesting video! Thank you for showcasing fellow plant lovers on your channel.
❤️❤️
Wow! beautiful Scinfapsus collection! and he is soooo Nice and natural and feel true love for his plants! he doesn't see plants like money making machines. i love this vídeo!! ❤
😀😀❤️
Loved this episode! You can hear the excitement in his voice and I really loved the way the plants are so well presented without being in super fancy expensive pots! Congrats to you both from 🇵🇹 🌿🪴🍀🤩
😀😀
Thank you for interesting videos. it's amazing to watch foreign planters
Learn so much different rare plants and knows what to do... and Sean thank you and More Power To You..God Bless You Always!!!
🥰🥰
Wow Sean… I love this video! Awesome!
😀😀
Before watching this video I had put a few plants in the leca on bottom moss on top situation as an experiment! I'm so glad to see how successful it will hopefully be! So far so good! Thanks for the encouragement
Yayeee good luck
I was waiting for the exact video💚 i loove scindapsus🌿💚🌿💚
😀😀
Amazing! Thank you Handry. Thank you Sean.
😀😀

Thank youu. 🥰🥰
WOW Great episode!
Thank youu
have always been amazed by his ig account and you're finally visiting him!
😀😀
thanks thanks Sean - 1st love - monstera sp .... 2nd love - scindapsus definitely! more so than anthurium which is 3rd. well.... and begonia!
Whoaaa I think Im around there too 😅 monstera was what got me into plants
Scindapsus are my favorites because they're easy to care (except when the snails eat them up). Just spent a small fortune on the variegated scindapsus today and now I see more that I want 😄😄
Woo keep them out of reach from snails lol
Looking forward for part two ❤️❤️…
That is coming up tonight 😀
Proper lighting and fertilization can still give you big leaves even if it’s trailing. I’ve had mine trailing for over 2 years and the leaves never grew small.
Ooh yes light and nutrients definitely play a big part
Omg they are beautiful, wish we had them in nz.what a great collection he has😍great idea with the moss. look forward to the second part of this episode. Thanks Sean
I think handry should collect bucephalandra. They have much freakier mutation, its leaves can become purple, red, blue, white, yellow, pink, marbles, veins varigation. It's the smallest aroid that I like.
but i'm on the scindapsus train now. 😂 looking forward for part2!
I just googled it, an aquatic aroid. Interesting!
Sean is the best. This person he is interviewing is limiting the growth of his plants. He should be more open to conventional methods.
Got excited about semi hydro! Going to try
😀😀 gd luck. Best to propagate in semi hydro rather than put established plants into them.
@@onlyplants Yeah I actually bought two plants that were already propagated in moss
Cool... scindapsus variegated
WOW!
Haha love at first sight thats me tooo i love albo
Cut n cut to finding germ of variegated
😀
😍😍😍
💚💚
great idea w e plastic piece as prop for shorter plants!! Ah i hv been esing wooden disposable chopsticks but i suspect e chlorine used to bleach them , is bad for e baby plants 🙁
N to add : what about e disposable forks n knives n spoons. Reusable too to dig around n prop small plants up. No wastage 👍
yasss limited space. i could relate to that, not everyone has huge space like Sean's place, i mean suuuure one time its cute one leaf tiny monstera and now its huge as hell and i dont know where to put it,but i do manage a space, but i dont know until when lolz what if its growing more ,it giving me headache
Im moving into a tiny tiny home soon! Can’t wait!
What is the material he uses for the back of his semicircular poles?! Would love to give them a try!
Its just plastic sheet I think?
what exactly does Rubal do? did I misunderstand by thinking that it helps prevent root rot? also youre amazing and i love you so much and you have inspired me.
Im not sure what it is either but not overwatering is best way to prevent root rot
After watching this I found and bought four Jade satin pothos, one little oddball is showing a mutation. I'm going to see what happens though
Propagate that node later, see what sprouts 😀
I will, I bought four Jade satin scindapsus, hoping for oddball stuff to happen. I have a rhaphidophora starting to variegated, a jewel orchid. I love the little oddballs.
i have exoticas of course but had no idea these variegated versions exist. wow.
I think its safe to assume theres variegated versions of every plant lol. I’ve met so many in recent times 😅
I am trying to get them to climb, but they are kinda bitches to get to stick onto wood in my apartment:-D And I dont want mosspoles. Those are ugly and hard to maintain. Beautiful room btw:-D
They need a bit of humidity or moisture to start rooting into things. Might have to mist the wood a few times a day to encourage them roots hehe
Ya ampunn scindapsus ku habis dipatokin ayam, wkwkwkw
Waduhhh ayam nya di siksa donk wkwkw
@@onlyplants 😂😂😂LOL
How does a guy from Indonesia get to speak English with a Dutch accent???
😀😀
Once Indonesia was Dutch colony
