Hi Joe, great review as always - my only complaint about the Corolla is that the driving position feels cramped for a big guy like myself - I'm 6ft. 3in and almost 300 lbs. and barely fit behind the wheel in my dad's 2015 Corolla. Does this newer generation feel like it has more room behind the wheel in your opinion?
I think it's because of the configuration, and form. When I think coupe I think more *sports* car (whether that's entry level or $60k +). Also I think 2door but there are 4 door coupes.
Not sure why the sedan seems to be "positioned lowered" than the hatch since all hatch has smart entry and push button start while the same trim sedan doesn't. All hatch are built in Japan, not sure about the sedan. It's ironic that the sedan is slightly more expensive than the hatch for the same trim level.
Same trim sedan does have it but you just have to add a package. I don't want smart entry and push button start because thieves can hack it and it's one more thing to break down. Sedan is more expensive because it gives you 5 inches more rear legroom and a very spacious trunk, not the useless cargo space of the hatchback.
Last week, my local dealer had a Corolla Nightshade in all black. I have to say it looked really great. I wish you could get more options tho. This same dealer...perhaps the largest in Illinois...is virtually out of cars now....for all models except Venzas. No new Corollas at all.

I’m liking this nightshade se, but no keyless start? My discontinued 2016 fit has keyless start 😅
When will auto companies put things we car enthusiasts like. Joe ,air curtains are a little touch that makes the road fun. Great review.👍
It does have room im 6ft myself and the steering can be moved Forward or backwards.
Yes it does 100%
Agreed!
I’m 6’7 and it feels ok. No complaint so far
Would you consider this more like a “coupe” then a sedan cause it’s more coupe like then anything
I think it's because of the configuration, and form. When I think coupe I think more *sports* car (whether that's entry level or $60k +). Also I think 2door but there are 4 door coupes.
Nope it is still a 4 door sedan.
I just don't get the fake vents. Just looks like they are trying to hard.
15:26 exactly. i want a conventional automatic transmission. Thats why I would only get a CAMRY.
AGREED!
Keep up the good work! Because of your detailed review, I purchased the new avalon!
