I think the concept of a dockable handheld is fascinating. We've finally gotten to the point where handhelds not only have enough horsepower to play current AAA games, they also can be linked to an external GPU to give even more power at home. Up until now, everything has had a little jank to it. Either the handheld processor or GPU was crap or the means to connect to an external GPU was slow; it was always something. Everything is starting to come together right now though. You never know what Nintendo is going to do, and Steam is likely working on a new device. Just a fascinating time.
hope drift is gone. BUT! it's super easy to fix by just spraying some Contact Cleaner into the joystick. I've done this on 5 sets of joycon for the past 7 years. They all work great.

Those aren’t extra buttons on the back. They’re the release triggers for the Joy-Cons. But…there is a new button directly below the home button and no-one knows what that’s for right now. Could it be for chat, screen casting, cursor control activation or something else entirely? We’ll have to see in April! Exciting times 🐵
I've had a switch since launch. Never had a joycon drift issue, but at the same time, I used a pro controller when playing more intense games like Smash brothers. I feel like this drift issue has been overblown when it comes to the optics on nintendo, considering other gaming consoles that didn't have hall effect sticks had the very same problem. I don't ever recall anyone talking about stick failures on the PSP back in the day, and I actually had a failure in a PSP.
They spent so much time on other tech since the last Nintendo Launch. They don’t know what they’re talking about. Guys get back to ps5 and Xbox fanboys like you’re use too. Leave this one to us who really play this dang thing. It intrigues me how they thought Nintendo was soooo far behind they can’t believe how much technology they’ve really skipped over. You’d think in all these switch breakdowns online someone would have the original in front of them to illustrate some of their points on what and where they hope is better on the switch 2. As for battery life. These days let’s give an honest take on batteries, they will always suck and never be good enough. And even if they are, given time they won’t be because of deterioration. We all have a compatible cord or power bank with us at any given time so is battery life really a concern? I had a flat power bank I kept in my switch case. For that reason I’d hope Nintendo would go harder on the screen or just have an oled version ready at launch. Really want to change things up, follow the example of mirrorless cameras and design a Switch with a swirly tilty screen. Have the orientation affect the gameplay. This might be too much on my part but the controllers have joysticks. But what if their mount points were designed to pivot a little which would then make the joycons themselves joysticks. Be more options for gameplay mechanics if it were possible. I don’t remember if it was the PSP or the Vita that had the rear touch panel but that was cool. Don’t know where anyone is with VR but to me that’s always been overrated. Skip that and just make a headset monitor. Isn’t that all it really needs to be? Save on the wall space of a big ass TV.

Seeing as my Switch is always docked when not in use, it’s always 100% when I need it. If it runs out of power I’ve probably been playing too long anyway. I definitely made the mistake putting the clips into the joycon not taking the +/- sign into account. It was a pain. The biggest issue I have is the joycons sliding out during play. Possibly because my 6yr old forgets to press the release button on the back.
how did the n64 controller not make no sense at all?
