I’m glad that people enjoy that stuff, but ultimately it’s nothing you couldn’t get from a guitar tab and a video of John Mayer playing it himself. You, on the other hand, bring something entirely new to the table and take it to a place where it could truly be considered impossible to play for 99.99% of guitarists, along with a healthy dose of your weird sense of humor. This is why your content will always be the pinnacle of “guitar UA-cam” in my humble opinion.
With every successive video you release, you blow my mind even farther. I don’t listen to “pop” and I’m not familiar with the Jon Meyer tune….but in my opinion I don’t think that Meyer could play it as you do. I’m an old guy….been a working pro since 1964, got a masters in music but now 76 and semi-retired. You are consistently the most enjoyable player on UA-cam. Both aesthetically and technically, you’re a monster on the guitar plus some of your comical bits are creative and funny…..especially to someone who wasted a lot of hours as a shill for the booze. Keep it up. Both my wife and I do our bit on line to promote you and your music whenever we can.

I think this cover is actually easier since he didn't have to do a rolling thump/slap technique nor use his thumb for the root note of every chord like John mayer does. And he plays nearly perfectly, with pretty complex vocal lines, while live. Absolutely insane to me
