Grab some tissues! Here’s my list of the saddest moments in the entire Star Wars saga.

Probably the immolation scene, but Burying the Dead is a VERY close second. The scene were Obi-Wan sees the hologram of Anakin killing younglings always gets me too, but that might be because I’ve read the ROTS novelization. It’s extra sad in the book.
Ahsoka leaving the Order, Burial Scene from CW, and Order 66 are tied for me. Everything else shown (except Han Solo's death) are also up there for me
I would put the aftermath of order 66 at #1. During the whole series, you fall in love with all of these awesome characters, only for most of them to have a terrible ending 💔
When Anakin dies in Return of the Jedi
“You were the chosen one” will always be the saddest. It’s such a gut punch and it could’ve been avoided in many different ways.

Kanan’s death made me tear up and anyone who knows me, knows I never break.

To me, Kanan’s death will ALWAYS be number one. It was the only time in my entire life where I quite literally cried myself to sleep! And for an entire day I was completely catatonic to the point where I hardly ate or said anything and my eyes never left the ground. What’s even worse is that Kanan died 9 days after I lost my grandmother, whom I was extremely close with, and I tried to keep my crying to a minimum for my mom’s sake. But when Kanan died, all those bottled up emotions and the strength I was working on building back up immediately came crashing down like a Jenga tower!

Kanan's death, Ahsoka leaving the order, and the very last scene of the Clone Wars, Ahsoka's "death" are my top three saddest scenes of Star Wars in my opinion. All of the scenes shown were sad too but these three just were sadder for me
Order 66 for me. Really hits the hardest when Yoda drops his cane from the pain he must have felt. Also makes me think of the 2005 battlefront campaign when you finish the Felucia mission and the clone narration says "it's a good thing we all had our helmets, because none of us could have bared to look her in the eye".
The final scene of the clone wars, the music, the atmosphere, the realization that an era was over hit differently. Legit shed a tear or two every time I watch this scene.
the fact that kanan had his eyesight restored right makes this 1000 time more sad
I remember a few days before the episode aired, out of nowhere, I suddenly found myself wishing “if Kanan has to die, then I want him to see the woman he loves one last time.” Then I was like, “whoa, where did that come from?” When the episode aired and he was holding back the flames, I was just staring at the screen unaware of what was going on, but once Kanan’s eyesight came back, I remembered what I had wished for only days before and then knew right away what was about to happen and that’s when I started bawling uncontrollably
Because he and hera were the only rebels that mattered in that show tbh, the other ones (not including characters like Rex) did not really add anything to the plot tbh.

Ahsoka leaving, Kanan's death, Fives death are tied in number 1 for me.
What about the battle of mustafar, the clone wars made that season so sad, once I watched the movie again after I ended the show, I actually cired
Yeah for me Kanan's death is number one. The worst part that Ezra was just as devastated yet he knew Kanan was doing it for good so he was the one telling Sabine to go when both Hera and Sabine were in tears. Well Written Filoni, well written

I only wanted to do my duty
#1 really got me more than anything. Just realizing the pointless of it all in the end. Of how much time has passed. How much it hurt realizing the people you were with when starting with the series are all gone. Of how different everything is. This show comes on and for a while you’re feeling alive again. Only to come to a complete gut wrenching ending you weren’t prepared for. The helmets to me symbolized how we’re just another number in the machine - doesn’t matter how much it kills you on the inside and out.
Wow... it seems my eyes are sweating... In all honesty though, Star Wars is so depressing sometimes >~>

Especially when you think about how useless the clone wars were. All these clones dead for nothing, having to betray the Jedi they fought side by side with.
Anyone who watches this at doesn’t at least cry on the inside at the end of this, will never cry.

Wish they had the death of Darth Maul. While he was evil, his death reflected one of, if not, the most tragic life in Star Wars history
Yeah. I hated watching that as a kid. You knew it was coming but then seeing it - hurt. All this time I loved the guy. So confused because everything that came before it was not so explicit and for a while you thought maybe it would be in an alt universe. But nope. All those good moments and ideas of what could’ve been just goes up in flames.
The last one burying of the dead always makes me emotional
Grandmaster Yoda I thought about putting immolation scene at #1but TCW finale tops that one for me. And I wanted to add Padmé’s death but I had to keep asking myself “hmm does this make me want to cry?” So I put Rex’s scene instead😅

Same, but it is better to just cry into you mom. I know its hard but it will be ok. For a year and now i still mourn the loss of my uncle Dizzy, my Great Nan who was the best, my grandpas and my dearly loved pets. But may your grandmother rest in peace. Happy days will find you.

“You were the Chosen One!” Really hits home hard for me. Anakin and Obi-Wans relationship broke, and it really highlights how heartbreaking it was for Anakin to betray the Jedi.
The death of Satine kills mr everytime. "Darth Maul Breaks Obi-Wan" is a beautiful song, you feel and hear the heartbreak in the piece. The two saddest parts: the motif in the piece in all other songsalmost never resolves itself, to show how the two are staying committed to their duty over their love, but it finally resolves after she passes expressing her love to Kenobi. The other, is that Satine is the one who dies, yet isn't even in the name of the song. It's all about Kenobi to Maul, and no other person matters, and this senseless murder of an innocent isn't even about that life, it's about Kenobi's. It's in my top 3, along with The Immolation Scene and "Find Him, Fives".
I think fives was the saddest if his death hadn't happened almost all of the other events would change and none of this misery would've happened

I was disappointed to see Padme’s plea in episode three was not on here at all. The “You’re breaking my heart” line really hit me in the feels.
By far the scene that made me cry the most was when c3po said "I'm just taking one last look at my friends

i was struggling where to put it, but I wasn’t very attached to her, so she didn’t make the list.
To show how dedicated I was to the clone wars series when I was young I watched the entire thing at least 3 to 4 times a year. But when the new season dropped and order 66 was activated, I honestly cried from the nostalgia. But this video just hit different and I agree with your #1 choice 100%

Dedication to the clone wars is serious. I’ve seen it all the way through at least 45 times, and still going. There’s always those scenes that choke me up every time

Kanans death hit the hardest for me, the other was when Ashoka and Vader were in Melachor and Anakins face was shown, that hit hard

You can hear the pain in obi wans voice on mustafar and it's very depressing
That moment when Kanan heal to see Hera for the last time was just amazing.

Clone wars ending is for me the saddest moment in the whole franchise.. Music, ambience, the way Rex is watching Ahsoka, and Ahsoka's emotion.. Such a great character and great show.
#1 is perfect. The mashup between the scenes was perfect too
The clone wars really hit so many people when it ended, because the realisation that an era so amazing an extravagant was just over. Fives, heavy, ima gun di, Jessie, satine, 99 and so many more who fought till the end, for the collapse of the very thing they believed in. Even rebels, though it had a happier ending, you just knew for the clone wars it ended in tragedy and we got to see that unfold over like 3 days.
But I did think in return of the Jedi when the ewoks were shot at and the two fell down but only one got up and how he nudges him to no avail that’s one that I will never forget, much like most of these scene. Thanks George and Dave, your work will never be forgotten.
I didn't care about the deaths in the Sequels, except Leia's. That's mostly because she passed away. May she rest in peace.

The saddest scene for me would be seeing Anakin’s 22 year old ghost in the ending of episode 6.

Am I the only one that believes the 'Darth Plagueis' Sequence is terribly sad? It's literally Anakin being gaslit by the man he sees as his father, watching as he's baited, manipulated, and convinced to betray everything he ever stood for... the seeds were planted.
Something that everyone overlooks while making their memes.
One that hasn't been mentioned in the comments that I think definitely belongs is Anakin's mother dying. Out of all the scenes in the movies, that got me the most. He promised he would come back and save her, but when he got there it was too late. This is the first time we are exposed to the dark side of Anakin too.

Burying the Dead and Anakin's fall caused my eyes to sting. helmets of fallen good soldiers and a former brother lost to your greatest enemy will make me ten times sadder than the Titanic

In my opinion, Kanan's was the saddest for me, not jus his death, but his sacrifice and how it affected the ghost crew, Hera especially 😔😢😭. The part that hit me most, was when Kanan and Hera looked at eachother and Kanan's vision was restored and his eyes became Blue again💙

The confrontation between obi wan and vader in Kenobi is the saddest for me, just pure anger from vader and pure regret and sadness from obi wan
