    I love your videos. Thank you for the helpful info about harvesting oysters. The last video I watched was the razor clam video. Now I would like to take my little family out and try some of this fishing ideas. Keep up the hard work. I look forward more videos of catch and cook. Also I live in Washington state.

      Thank you! Rules here in Washington State is a bit different. We're required to put the shells back. We'd honestly prefer to keep them in their shells! NZ is a dream destination for us!

    I’ve lived in Southern California for so long, I had forgotten how beautiful both Oregon and Washington can be in the Summer and Fall. It’s Gooo eeey ducks. Or Goo. Eee. Ducks.

      Absolutely and thanks for watching! This place is Dosewallips State Park. Recommend you visiting the WDFW website for site information. Also, they will close areas every so often so check the website first before going out!

    5:30 the seawater looked so slimey and polluted, or too oilly ?!? But have not found dead fish, just yet ?!?

      The tide was low at that point and there were tons of seaweed and algae around.

    3:20 i dunno, did you say GO-E-DUCK but i remember it spells GE-O-DUCK for those "Elephant trunk"-shell, right ? Or mine is wrong?!?

      Geoducks are the ones with the long syphon and brown shell. At first we thought pronunciation was Geo-duck similar to Nat-"Geo" but came to find out that it is actually pronounced Gooeyduck! Confusing but either way, those things are great tasting!

      Yes. You can get the daily one from Bass Pro or Sportsman Warehouse. However, the annual one is a better deal.

However, we highly recommend checking out WDFW's website for the best up-to-date spots oyster harvesting. You can set some filters in no time and you might even be able to find a spot near you!

      This was on the west side of Kitsap Peninsula. We highly recommend going to WDFW's website for list of beaches for clamming!

    A little unfortunate that they have to be shucked before taking home, I like to put them in the shells onto the smoker... I'll stick to getting them from the oregon oyster farms for now I suppose.
