This yoga for basketball players stretch and flow sequence will focus of balance, flexibility and mobility. In this slow flow yoga stretch for basketball players, we focus on stretching our the legs and hips, challenge our balance and also wind out any tension held in the shoulders. This yoga for basketball players is an all round yoga stretch which should help with recovery and soothing tired muscles. This basketball yoga class is great for any basketball players looking to improve their flexibility and balance.

Hey Brandon, I would say switch it up from day to day, but if you were to pick just one I would recommend the relaxing one or the new one I have coming out in a couple of weeks…. It’s a post game / training stretch x

Can I add my thanks too. Loved it, despite not being very good. I'm 50 and just started playing again after 10 years of triathlon, so the new movements from basketball are making me tight and achy. Doing your session the day after helps a lot. So thanks.

Wow! i feel amazing. As a teenager who plays basketball this is really great. Quick question though, how can I progress in yoga? Meaning how can I “deepen” the stretches? Should I add weights or hold them for longer?
Hi Muhammad! So glad you feel good after this one! If you’re wanting to increase flexibility I would say hold poses for a bit longer... have a little look into Yin Yoga... I have a few practises on my channel :)

Hey Helen, my wrist is hurting a lot from the beginning of this flow, I might need a wrist brace and some rest, any advice?
Hey Adam, maybe you went a bit too hard on those stretches, definitely give them a rest and next time just go to a 6 or 7 out of 10 intensity :) x
Should the heel be down or up during the deep squat
Hey Andrew, ideally heel down, however some people are tight / ankles are quite ready for that yet. You can work towards it by sending the weight back into the heel and even popping a block or a pillow underneath to help with balance / comfort if needed! x

Is it best to do these at night or morning?
Anytime of the day is good 😊 I'd say in the morning you might be feeling a bit tighter so is good to get you warmed up first thing, but then in the evening / post training can be more relaxing. Totally up to you, as long as you get it in! Thanks for being here and practising with me! x
