I love berets. I first got one decades ago when I was going to live in Spain for a year. I kept that one and wore it a lot, for decades. I've been wearing them for several decades. They are timeless and classic. I enjoyed your video. I'd love to see you do a video series on hats -- on fedoras and then onother hats...like trilbys, cloches, and others. I'm glad I found your channel and I enjoye d the video.

These look so lovely 💖 now I really want a burgundy beret (I only have black)... and maybe also a camel and army green ones too 😄. And in navy be cause it's the colour I'm most obsessed with currently.
My black beret is very special because it belonged to my great grandfather (born in 1911) and it still looks impecable like new, even the blue satin lining, the stitching and the gold embroidered brand logo are beautiful and those are on the inside!... it's amazing the high quality things used to be made of in the past.
Recently I also found my great grandfather's service beret (he was in the Navy), it has leather piping, I wish I could wear it but since it's a service beret I suppose that would look strange and out of place.

How do you know what size of beret to buy? Also, there seems to be a proper way to put them on your head, given the way you're using your hands to place them on. Can you give any help with this, please?

Fantastic video. I've always loved wearing berets and have been wearing them my whole life. I have about 9 in different colours. I've never thought to secure the beret with a bobby pin. I also never styled my hair to go with the beret but what an excellent idea. I will definitely be trying that. Great video.

If you live in Florida and you want a beret, you can go to H&M at the Tanger(s) Outlet and there are berets near the checkout counter, I think there is a pink and black beret!

Tolles Video 💟😻, ich werde bestimmt einige, deiner tollen Frisur ausprobieren. Trägst du deine Berets also auch drinnen, in der Uni beispielsweise, wenn du dir so große Mühe mit dem Abstimmen deiner Frisur gibst 😺? Ich habe sie bisher nämlich immer nur draußen getragen, und sie dann drinnen zusammen mit meinem Schal und Mantel ausgezogen.
Danke dir! ☺ Das kommt ganz drauf an. Wenn ich zum Beispiel die letzte Frisur trage, dann nehm ich sie nicht ab weil es ohne komisch aussieht 😄 Ansonsten je nachdem wie warm mir ist hehe ☺

How do you care for your berets? Do you have them dry cleaned or hand wash them?
can they be worn inside a restsurant or i have to take it off?
Kangol was always "the" brand but I have found that those with a silk satin linings (just a circle) seem to allow for the removal without must destruction of hair. Although static is always a disaster.
Checked out Kangol on Amazon...yowza! The price has gotten quite steep since I bought them in the 70s and 80s. Don't look as cute as I did then in a beret---now more like Sam Kinnison.

I really like berets but every shop I've visited had just one universal size which is small for me. Anybody same problem? :(

I loaned my black barret to a friend recently, and he fit it greatly. but when he tried it on in the universal size in the store it was too big
Yes! I wear a 7.5 hat, and berets hardly ever fit. Also, I lost a lot of hair due to an autoimmune disease and wear wigs. I’ve considered making my own berets, but I think they’d be ridiculously big.
look barets in fleamarkets and triftstores , you can mostlikely find real wool ones that are better quality and those you can actually mold to your own size by steaming. Also those will look much nicer that the cheap HM ones.
I love berets, but I don’t wear them too much because it always makes my hair so flat. And when I take the beret off, it leaves some kind of stamp in my hair, you can see the circle where the beret used to sit. Do you have any tips for making sure the beret looks pretty throughout the day? I would love to see more beret styles and tips.
Oh, ok! That also happens to me sometimes, at least when my hair is open. Then I just brush through my hair and everythings fine again. I tend to always have a little brush with me. I don't know if I have any tips for that.. I just check everything in the mirror from time to time 🤷🏻♀️ And rearrange it if it's not nice anymore.
I just discovered your channel! You have a new subscriber, so please keep up the beautiful content. I have been in a fashion rut because I cannot stand current fashion trends. Ripped jeans, crop tops, and leggings just look awful. I love looking at old pictures because even average, everyday people dressed so lovely. I love that you dress classic and vintage, but it doesn't look like a costume. I would love videos about shoes, undergarments/foundational garments/hosiery, and handbags/accessories.

There are some made of cotton on Amazon, maybe you'll be able to find one! I don't want to buy wool anymore, because I already eat vegan, that why I too always look for cotton made clothes 😊. Lots of luck!
