Arigato gozaimasu!! That was a beautiful video the blade design, the music, and video + cinnetography was excellent 👌👍! Your skill as a blade maker is great!! MERRY CHRISTMAS.and hope you enjoy Gojira -1!!
I would definitely pay for one of these knives. Beautiful craftsmanship but there’s something about the handle. It’s a very nice handle that looks really well put together, just prefer a swell style handle. But seriously beautiful knife my friend
I have to say that knife turned out really nice and looks like it may do some good meat chopping eather home or camping or so and thanks for yoyr video and keep cool and ✌
This knife is a thing of beauty. And i like how you went with tried and true 440C. Because it doesn’t get the respect it deserves. It’s a very well rounded stainless steel that is moderately good at everything. Edge retention, stainlessness, toughness, sharpenability, and polishes up real nice as a bonus.
Artistic Son exactly. 25 or so years ago, where I’m from, if you had a 440C knife, you were the man. If you know what i mean. All the other 15 year olds were jealous cuz all they had were those pot metal knives that were really made to be looked at. Not used. I had a 440C hunting knife. I was so proud to own it. Wasn’t the best in the world. But before internet, if you didn’t know anyone else that had one. It was like you were the only one. You had excaliber.

Great craftsmanship. Also ur gonna run thru drill bits doing it dry like that.... start the hole, little bit of oil, then finish... u will have alot less smoke and bits should last longer

everyone has their own tastes, and I'm no different. This knife is a work of art. The curves and the flow of the handle and blade together are nothing short of stunning. I very much understand the reason why so many smiths make a blade with a heel on it, when a blade is as sharp as a good craftsman can attain, safety features are almost mandatory in the minds of Blacksmiths everywhere. However, I cannot abide a "kitchen knife" that has a heel, or a non-offset blade that brings the cutting edge straight to the handle and terminating at the junction. I seek out and look everywhere for Kitchen knives without a heel, but offset from the handle. So if you had ground the blade all the way back so that the cutting edge rand the entire length of the bottom of the offset blade, that would have made your Knife extremely more efficient and way easier to chop with as a result of it. How many times have you tried to cut a larger amount of something on a cutting board, but the heel of the bladee made it so you had to suspend the knife off the edge of the cutting block so as to maximize your cutting, if there were no heel, you could use the blade full over the center of the cutting block, without having to bring everything close to the edge where a lot of it would fall off the cutting board. Make one of each, I challenge you, and then use them both on a cutting block and see which one is easier to use and more efficient. Very few of my blades have heels. I do have some and what I use them for is perfect for the style they are. Just my two cents worth but I feel it is something that more than just I prefer. However, for safety reasons, a heeled blade is better to use, especially if the user is an amatuer or novice with cutting tools, or, even worse, possessing poor hand/eye coordination. These people are better off using a heeled blade until they have improved upon their skills and experience. I love this knife, it is very similar to one I bought for myself, all except the heel. lol Great work and keep up with your precision and slightly OCD attention to detail, that is what makes the difference between a good Blacksmith and an excellent Blacksmith! You sir, are the latter!
Long advice...Thank you.^ I don't fully understand English, but I know what it's about. It makes me think that I should design more carefully. Thanks again.
@@mikeblackford994 I don't know where you are, but the knife on top is a little big, so it can't be delivered...It will be difficult because of customs and other constraints. Korea is especially picky about guns and knives.^^
Because there were no heat treatment equipment at the time of production, an external specialist did heat treatment in advance. The process was difficult.

440C is a steel with many advantages. Strong in corrosion and similar in hardness to VG10. ^^
