I have said it many times before and I'll say it again... Violent offenders should NEVER be allowed early parole. They should serve out their ENTIRE SENTENCE!! When will the damned judicial system learn!!!!!

I think we all know what those two monsters very likely wanted to do with the girls before eventually also murdering them.
Rold Tiede saved not only himself but also his two daughters from horrors and death.
It never ceases to shock me how our lives can be violently destroyed in moments.
Or how many times violent criminals get a break to go out and escalate their crimes.
And how many times *convicted* monsters are allowed to appeal. One injustice after another.
Exactly true . I watch true crime everyday and more times than I can count , killers rapest r both get break after break and always go on to hurt and destroy more people's lives over and over . Ofcourse I know there r people that get out of prison after having been convicted of crimes and once there free again , they live good lives but I think it's rare .
And hiw many times CPS let kids fall through the cracks. There are no cracks there are grand canyons all over America
We want a system where people can appeal wrongful convictions or to get out with skills and something to lose, tho.
@@nsahandler My point is these appeals are over and over and over. There should be a limit. It's an absolute waste of time and resources to have these monsters re-apply because they're bored. The powers that be only think about money coming in.

There is a limit tho. They passed a bill in 97 to limit it.
The issue with the limit is that it is insanely short - we are talking 30 days from sentencing and only one appeal. If something comes up later that exonerates yo? Doesn't matter. You still get the needle unless you convince the governor or president to pardon you.
I'd much prefer a system where everyone can contest issues with their ruling... especially the death penalty. Can't appeal at all after death
Cases like this remind me that I should be thankful for every moment. I may be alone this year for Christmas, but I have my cats, my home, and hopefully my safety.

I saw quite a lengthy documentary on this case and omfg it was horrific what these 2 bastards did to this family, it was so intentional too.
While they waited for the family to come home they opened all the presents under tree, ate the food and just lounged around in wait for them, then what they did to the girls when they kidnapped them and their Dad he was so heroic.
I saw an interviewed with them all now as the girls are all grown up and havenkids of their own, they kept the house and continue to celebrate Christmas there and refer to it as their sacred special place.
It was just heartbreaking that they lost their mother/wife and grandmother.
What a nightmare the girls, Rolf and their uncle are heroes. Prayers to the mom and grandmother and I may the killers meet their ultimate fates.
This story always gets to me. The horror of what the family went thru... the horror that surely waited those brave girls had their dad and uncle not gone after them, the utter shite they were out thru during the trial.... everything is both horrific and yet miraculous that it didn't get worse. I hope their family had many years of love and peace together.

Yeah that video really made the whole thing that much more real. It was bone chilling. Also, you are absolutely right to mention the fact that they clearly had some form of evil intent with those two girls and I think we all have an idea of what part of that would have entailed. Two completely sick bastards.

I can't believe one juror got their way. I wonder how that juror would feel if it were their family. There was ample evidence. Blind Freddy could see that. This case has always left me with chills. That one juror was obviously a complete bell end with no idea.
that’s how juries work though, if one person doesn’t agree you don’t get a verdict because everyone’s opinion is equal.
I'm guessing that's not an offense that can be tried criminally, but they should be shamed for life!

They video taped themselves committing the crime. There is an eye witness to two of the murders to testify at the trial. The murdered guy comes back from the dead to testify against them at the trial. And still, the jury has some sort of issue giving death to both of these monsters? #Asteroid2024
While I'm personally not for death penalty, didn't that juror get to express their issue with that (assuming that was their issue) during voir dire? So much disgust with this horrific case, including that lawyer!

This is one of those stories that, if it happened in a movie, I would think it is silly and unrealistic; the pretty teengirls kidnapped, incredibly heroic and strong father, the comic book villains...But it's all true. Life is strange.

As much as the daughter wants to believe that they got an "aha" moment on the guy, I'm sure her father being alive would not be a shocker. I'm pretty positive that his lawyer would have asked for a list of witnesses during discovery. He might have had a reaction to actually seeing her father, but I highly doubt that he was surprised.
