I adore you for being so gracious and teaching us tips and tricks. Educating us and being so real. This is now my favorite line because of you. You are truly awesome! I just found you several days ago and I went out and bought shades eq I have started playing on my self and Manikin. I just used on a client. She loves it. Thank you for helping this Texas girl. You are also the cutes! So proud of your beautiful salon! You are Goals!
Thank you Daniella! I did the mushroom brunette and it's so stunning. Please make more recipe/formula videos like this (particularly for brunettes/brondes, with an emphasis on tonal variations and nuanced shades), such an amazing concept and so helpful for those of us who like to DIY hair color but want a professional outcome. So grateful for you.
This was a brilliant video, thank you so much! Not a hairdresser myself but I love learning about colour mixing in different contexts, so I'll be watching your other Shades EQ tutorials too 🙏🏼
I never realized how hard it is to get back to your natural hair color till I actually wanted it. If you could make more to get close to a natural hair color or just crazy experiments of color. That would be amazing!
I want to go back to brunette after it being bleached blonde, what would you recommend to use as a filler colour before with the EQ line? I want to end up quite a neutral/ashy brown at the end, absolutely love the ash and espresso formulas!
Hey! I would use anything with a G in it. You want to add warmth back into your hair so when you put the dark color on top it has depth and that underlying pigment you lifted out going bleach blonde. I would use equal parts 7G 7GB. It will add warmth but not too much!
Love these helpful formulas I did the espresso on myself I had some highlights done that just didn't look good and it came out sooo good the highlights give the brown a good dimension best hair color I've had in awhile!! Would love to see more of your formulas for brunettes and can you tell me what size barrel your using on your curler?!?
Thank you so much, you’re so awesome! I’ve been following you on your youtube and ig account in a while and I learned a lot especially the redken shades eq formulas. Thank you 🙌❤️
Thank you so much for doing these videos and being so gracious and giving with your tips! There really is nothing else or no one else doing this out there. I recently got a balayage that turned out way too golden. I am desperate to get back to a rich brunette. How long after having the balayage do I need to wait to do one of these mixes from the video? I don't want to damage my hair. Also when you say 5grams is that half of each bottle? That's probably a very silly question. Thank you so so much again!!!
Since they are a gloss/toner it’s basically whenever the color washes out or becomes dull. As far as gray, I don’t think the hair would hold it well because the texture is completely different. That’s why permanent color is usually used for gray hair and the processing time is usually longer. It’s stubborn to add color to.
Hi I had a quick question, I’ve bleached my hair and I’ve bought two redken shades eq toners, my hair is a mixture of yellow/orange tones after bleaching and I wondered if you knew if I was to mix together 08VB and 08NA would that be nice together and would it also cancel out the yellow/orange tones ? I’m new to using the redken shades eq so don’t know what the two colours would be like mixed together
I found this soooo so helpful. I feel like I will be able to better choose the perfect color for toning my hair at home. I kinda want to go cooler, but not too ashy, what do you think?
I have a very golden skin undertone and I want to go lighter for Autumn, I'm trying to figure out whether I should do a natural 8N Mohave + 7NB Chestnut and contrast with my skin tone, or go warmer and do 07NW + 07GB and match the warmth of my skin tone
Would this work with a full head of highlights ? Even though they are grown out im natural brunette looking to go mushroom brown also I cant seem to find 06GN redken Eq shade in the mushroom brown could you reccomend anywhere i could find it please or could I use 06N or 06G with the rest of the shades on mushroom brown? love the video thankyou
Another amazing video Daniella!! Loved the entrance from your salon. Hard to pick a favorite. I guess the mushroom 🍄 as it’s how I’m trending now personally. Still love a salted caramel! Perfection!
Stylist here and you’re doing great with your content. Helping me transition from a franchise to independent contractor. My background is in matrix but I’ve been trying to expose myself to redkin because, well, it’s redkin. Do I need to say more? Lol 😍
Love this video!! Thank you so so much. You are AMAZING!!!! I just have one question, does this toners covers whites?? Also i have a request, can you please make a video like this one but for ashy, cold, warm, gold, 9 tone blonde? TIA 🤗
Hello . If you use these toners on a head full of highlights , that range from level 7 to 8 . Will these toners eventually just wash off on they’re own? And leave you At the original levels ? Thanks
Hi! So I did toner number two and when I tell you I’m literally obsessed with it it came out so beautiful! The only thing for me is I’m noticing I have a little bit more gold tones throughout my hair and a little bit of red on the top you can’t even see it it looks morsel of a chocolate brown but the underlying warm color is definitely a little bit of red. I was wondering which toner from Redken would you suggest that has a little bit of green in it?
Thanks for the great videos! I’ve been looking for informative videos like this with mixed shades eq to see how they turn out! I have brown roots and lighter ends like level 9 can I use level 7 and 8s to make it darker blonde or light brown on the level 9 bits? Thanks 😊
They all look amazing! Thank you for the video. I am curious to see what the Moroccan Brown + Irish Cream would look like. Do you think mixing them would yield a pretty color? What mannequin and stand are you using? I have been searching around...
Hello. I’ve been using redken color essential 6NW brandy and decided to try the colors gel oil 6NW brandy. I pulled some color through almost to the ends because my highlights were looking dry. I love this oil line as my hair is so soft and healthy but found it’s a little too dark. What shades eq color is recommended?
Hi I have level 9 neutral blonde pre lighten can I use Redkin shade Espresso Brunette on my hair. I do understand that it will be lighter than what you show. Any suggestion Thank you
Good day, Please, I want to use the ASH formula, but unfortunately the 07V shade is not available in our country - what can I replace it with? Thank you very much 🌸🤝
I’m currently between a level 8 and 9 bleached blond hair and want to go to brunette, is it possible to get that mushroom color or should I fill in my hair first? What formula would you recommend?
Hiii, love this and can’t wait to try it but I have a question when I use shades in de brown tones on fresh highlights it doesn’t always come out the way I want… is it bcs my highlights are to light? Or is there an other reason?
And you can put all of these on let’s say a level 6/7 orange brassy to get rid of warmth with added dimension if the hair was a 4 at the root? I especially like the ashy brunette
Thank you so much if I didn’t find your video I would of just dyed my hair brown . I spent so much at salon for balayage and it wasn’t what I wanted but I let it be being I spent so much I wanted to tone and fix it myself I will be doing the first one in the video just bought everything from Walmart thank you so much I see you said equal parts so do I pour the whole two bottle than do 30 gram of processing
Daniella i want to try mushroom brunette but i have a level 4 rootage ... im not sure what roots colour to put...and if it will blend well with mushroom brunette. Thanks for ur help!
I have blond hair I love the mushroom brown so I bought all the product you posted I just scared I don't want it to go green so would it come ok if I use them

I am due for something and I am considering trying to darken my grown out highlights. I have quite a bit of natural, but the highlights are level 10+. Do you think the salted caramel would cover nicely or would I need to fill with something first?
Question...for the mushroom brunette,it looks like you combined the 6gn and7t together then did the 7g by itself as an overlay then combed through. Is that correct?
for the second color did u leave the two shades on for 20 mins and then proceed to put the ash brunette shades on it after ? i’m trying to transition my hair today to a very natural brown as i have some lighter almost blonde at my tips

I qurently have an ashy dark blonde balayage and I want to try the espresso brunette, I know over time it will lighten but I want it to be permanently a shade darker than it already is, will it work on my case?

What formula did you use?
@@carolinamingalone2197 the exact formula in her description for “mushroom brunette”. It gave my hair a rich brown color with no gold/orange tones.
Where do you buy the redken products ?
Did you use 15 gr of each? How much processing solution did you use?

There is no waiting time. These are acid colorings and not as damaging as ammonia based regular dyes.
Exactly! There’s 60 grams in each bottle so I would use half of each bottle with 1 oz of processing solution if you have medium to thick hair.
How often can you use shades EQ on your hair? Can you do a root melt to cover grays in between colors? Love your videos. Thank you.

If you have much darker hair you’ll still get a slight color shift but they do work best with a little bit of lightness in the hair!
