    You can add a drop of dish soap to the oil based scents. It will break the bonds between the oil molecules and will allow the oil and the water to form an evenly blended emulsion.

    the salt enhances smell and helps stop mould.
    Also no don't put it in the fridge. It will take a week to get the smell out and it will seep into your food. Trust me, i know :P

    Very nice idea. Can you please tell me the extra amount of gelatin needed for 1 liter of water and why is the salt needed?

    Any glass jar will work. Just make sure you clean it out well. With the vegemite jar you may want to give it a soak in soapy water to help remove the smell :)

    How long do those air fresheners last? Does the solid become less over time? If so, how long?

    Great tutorial.Simple, easy and quick.I'm definitely going to make these for the house.I have a very musty smell from leaking water so this will help until the leak can be fixed.

    I was thinking instead of putting this into one big jar, it would look really cute to pour the same amount into 3 small shot glasses. They'd look very pretty when arranged in a row.

    Why is the mix not hardening, its still in liquid form even after 48hrs no change. Followed the procedure explained, still.....KINDLY advice

    Yes normally, but keep in mind it is distributed through out the jelly and will slowly release :)

    Is mixing it with your favorite alcohol based perfume would have same effect also as mixing with fragance bottles as shown on this video? Would it last for a month or more?

    Of course they work, i wouldn't make a video on it if it didn't :)
    I have given them away as gifts and they loved them. (With a lid of course)
    And yes the mouth wash work, it removes bad breath but as i said its not an antiseptic mouthwash :)

    the freshner was not solidified though salt is also added even after 48 hours. can we add another spoon of the gelatin. will it be thicker after that

      Grocery stores/food markets sell plain gelatin packets and fragrance oils are sold online, at health food stores , vitamin shops, craft stores and pharmacies

    how to identify unflavoured gelatine or flavoured gelatine ?
    i just bought from baking shop so i'm not very sure about that.

    How many pkgs of gelatin for 1 small jar? I have the same size, as in the video, but mine keep liquidizing, after some time and I have to keep putting it in the freezer.

      Mellow Denese just follow the ratio, for every 100 grams of liquid, you can add 2 grms of gelatine or agar agar
