From what I have read the Revell 1/32 Mossie is an early 70's mold kit so panel lines and rivets are pronounced rather than concave and detailing is mediochre at best...This vid certainly shows that an early kit can be made as good as the current ones with some know how and work...Bare in mind that this particular kit is a quarter of the price of Tamiya and equivalent kits so a big selling point there...I was pleased to see this vid...Be good to know if its the original or an after market canopy...Thanks

Thanks! The canopy is original from the box and there is no aftermarket in this build. I wanted to show how much you can achieve with some scratch building and some pretty basic techniques.

This kit is certainly worth spending time on. Even if you do not have the skills demonstrated here, there is a plethora of after market parts that can enhance it to the standard of the new offerings at a much reduced cost.
Canopies... I think the HK models canopy is still not right?
But I believe the Tasman Models vac form canopy from New Zealand is available again.

Wonderful detailing on one of my favourite kits , however you have missed two of the biggest howlers , the canopy is way too tall and the nose windows are the wrong shape.

I think the wheel rims are not entirely correct on your model. Early types like the Mk. IV had brakes on the right side of the mainwheels only, they were NOT laterally reversed (see ram-home.com/ram-old/mosquito-4.html). Later types like the MK. VI had brakes on both sides...
