      @@ragingpotato817, agreed. I've visited three locations during the 40% off weeks. I've only gotten Airfix 1/72 Wildcat and P-51D kits as well as Revell's 1/72 F-22 Raptor. Hobby Lobby is definitely geared towards car models.

    You are lucky to have a hobby shop like that near you. I have not had any problems with Revell decals so far.The Horten was an influential design as well as the V-2 rocket. I really like your paint scheme.

    • @stephanlamersdorf4565
      @stephanlamersdorf4565 8 місяців тому

      Better call it A-4.
      V2 is just the Nazi name.
      And no, the Horten had no impact at all. The one test flight failed and the americans where testing flying wings at Northrop and other companies. The Ho 229 had no impact at all in development, it was just an elegant design for it's time, never operational. Nothing derived from it.

    A brief history about this kit: It was originally a kit from the Japanese manufacturer Trimaster, but never went into production before the company closed down. DML bought their tools and released them in 1992. Then Revell rebox the kit and release it again in 2021.

    Schön, das es noch so toll sortierte Modellbauläden gibt! Bei uns gibt es viele dieser Läden nicht mehr... Echt Schade! Habe selber viele Flugzeug-, Schiffs- und Motorradmodelle in den 90ern gebaut! Habe mich schon gewundert, das es jetzt eine Horten in 1:48 gibt! Kannte nur die in 1:72... Hatte selbst mal die Horten als Nachtjäger-Doppelsitzer in 1:48 von Dragon! Ich liebe die Horten!😍 Ein zeitlos futuristisches Nurflügel-Design! Schade, das es die Horten nicht in Echt als flugfähige Replika gibt... Sie wäre der Star auf jeder Flugshow!😎

      The 1/72 kit was designed by Revell (Revell-Germany at the time). It's mostly nice, but it doesn't have engines so you can look inside the shell through the exhausts. It also had poorly detailed landing gear and little of the internal pipe-work. I built one to a nice standard, but it took a lot of work. The more recent Zoukei Mura models are much, much better in either scale.
