  • Looking for easy low carb griddle recipes to make on the Blackstone or other flat top grill? Then you'll LOVE these chicken bacon ranch skewers on the griddle!
    Start by making a homemade ranch dressing, or use your favorite store bought version. Then, cut the boneless skinless chicken thighs into chunks, and make a simple chicken marinade with packaged ranch seasoning, lemon juice, olive oil, and SPG. After the chicken has marinated for about 2 hours in the fridge, add to skewers.
    Cook some bacon on the griddle for your chicken bacon ranch skewers. Then, add the chicken skewers to the griddle to cook. Once the chicken is done, top with shredded cheese, chopped cooked bacon, and some sliced green onions.
    This easy griddle chicken recipe makes a fantastic low carb dinner! Or make smaller skewers for chicken bacon ranch griddle appetizers! Enjoy!

    These look great. I'm curious about something. Recteq just came out with a pellet fueled griddle. The issue is that there are no zones. It's all just one temp. Do you feel something like that is really practical since you can't adjust zones? It might be able to "smoke" with the lid closed but one temp across the whole griddle seems limited compared to traditional griddles. Thanks.

    • @TheFlatTopKing
      @TheFlatTopKing  10 місяців тому +1

      Hey i have a hard time getting excited about it...1,000 for it...no ability to zone, how much does pellets cost vs propane....cant use as a smoker as well, Im excited but also it seems like a gimmic...I mean the Traeger and halo is that much and has many more griddle friendly features

    • @SinisterMD
      @SinisterMD 10 місяців тому

      @@TheFlatTopKing I kind of thought the same thing. I had a Rectec (before they had to change to Recteq due to copyright) and was pretty happy with it but upgraded to a Yoder. The griddle seems a bit gimmicky as you said. If they'd send you one to review I'd love to see you work with it, seeing as how you're the King and all. :)

    • @TheFlatTopKing
      @TheFlatTopKing  10 місяців тому

      Going to be hard....the hear will come from the bottom...maybe over cooking the pepper that touches the griddle...probably will need a cooling rack and dome system...also...if using rice..cook it before hand...some call for uncooked...but you will not that time....all ingredients should be precooked....

      @MrScubajsb 10 місяців тому

      @@TheFlatTopKing I agree. It almost looks like they're taking the temperature control on a pellet smoker and you're going to be controlling the temperature underneath. So you're going to have smoke that's going to be coming up somehow because they advertise it like it's going to be smoking your food too. So my main concern is temperature control. It will definitely be interesting.

    • @TheFlatTopKing
      @TheFlatTopKing  10 місяців тому

      @@MrScubajsb agree with that concern. One I have is not everything I cook should have smoke with it. That’s hard to avoid when your fuel is pellets. Plus the cost of pellets…, should you buy cheap because you don’t need the flavor. Its more expensive pellets better because of less ash and burns hotter. Is this ONLY a griddle. Can the griddle be removed for a smoker as well. What about temp zones. Can it be done.
