Exactly! This is the badass Obi-Wan that I remember and LOVE from The Clone Wars & Rebels. Also, the same badass Vader I also remember & love from The Clone Wars, Rebels AND Rogue One!!!! This was PERFECT on EVERY LEVEL!!!! Did both characters justice without forgetting or completely replacing the original fight! This only improved & enhanced upon the original. No disrespect, no replacing, NONE of that!!
What i really love about it is it shows the aggression and violence of Vader. He had grown so much beyond anakin that he really ended up winning the fight, even though Ben sacrificed himself. Even if Luke didn’t turn the corner, Ben was toast.
I always thought it was obvious Vader would’ve won, even in the original. Ben, even in his prime, would probably lose to Vader. The only reason Vader didn’t obliterate him in Episode 4 was because he was cautious of losing an arm or a leg again.
This scene leading up from that hallway scene in Rogue One would be epic. Also the way Obi-Wan fought here is more like the guy who killed Maul in three moves.
I think they should do a movie of Vader and O B Wan which basically gives us a detailed look at their lives and journey after episode 3 so about 20 years before A New Hope it could be a 3 hour movie . There are so many amazing things we would see almost complete opposite lives with Vader hunting down any last remaining Jedi as well as completing tasks given to him by Palpatine. While on the flip side we would see O B Wan surviving on the desert planet where Luke was raised. Battles with sand people or any other creatures or beings Ben would have to fight. We could see his 2nd battle with Darth Maul where Ben finally kills Maul.
This was great! I saw Episode 4 when it came out in '77 (I was 13) and the fight scene was amazing then, but this is great. Keep in mind they're not going to fight the same as they did in the timeline of Episode 3 because that's when the Jedi were at the height of their powers, and this is so many years later.
I always hear people doing these reactions videos talking about Ben Obi-wan Kenobi's face, What? Who has time to be focusing on Ben's face with all that action? Come on man it is by far good enough and the least of our concerns
I admire the technical skill of the maker of the scene. But the new version misses a crucial story-telling point: Darth Vader isn't "more impressive or powerful than Anakin". In fact … Vader is quite literally half the man Anakin would have been. It is however a common misconception amongst fans obsessed with bad-ass imperial action. Lucas deliberately depicts the"Empire" and the "Imperial era" as a "used-universe" version where all creativity, innovation and true power has been consumed into the sole purpose of sustaining the Sith whilst the galaxy deteriorates and declines. But hey … it is a cool fight scene and definitely a super-entertaining watch so who cares it gets one of the central themes of Star Wars the wrong way around ;)
But that is what they showed here. Vader being more brutal with clubing like slashes, punches, etc... is canon what he became. The suit slowed his movements down so much that he couldn't fight with grace, but would rather over power his opponents with brutal strikes, which is shown here. Vader doesn't fight with the grace of Anakin, but instead is using cheap moves, and fighting in a way that requires less skill and more relies on his suit, combined with his sheer strength he has, thanks in part to the suit also. He isn't doing as good as he is here with power.
@@chandler4880 Exactly. Watch Anakin's dueling skills in Revenge of the Sith and he's faster than he is here, with more elegant swordplay and maneuvers. This Vader is definitely more dangerous than he actually was in the OT, but he doesn't seem more dangerous than ROTS Anakin.
Hey thanks for taking the time to check out Scene 38! I loved your reaction!
Dude you did a amazing job on the video!! I can’t wait for the next video you make! Keep up the great work! You made the Star Wars community proud! 👌😁

no, he let Vader win clearly, who knows what would happen if the fight had continued
Ark333 dude...he got cut in the arm and leg. even if he hadn’t given up, he was absolutely going to lose 😑
Thordan yea Vader had all that pent up rage, Eventually would have outlasted Bens defense

I cannot get over how well done this scene was. You just feel so much more emotion than from the original in my opinion.

I didn't see any kung-fu style bumpy-jumpy here like in the sequels... but more emotion, aggression and realism like in the Empire Strike Back.
