Our brain plays a role in everything that we do from our moods, behaviors, and personalities, to how we process and respond to the world around us. Naturally we want to know as much about it as possible.
Thank goodness for the Team Sherzai - Drs. Dean and Ayesha - Neurologists, researchers, and public health advocates. Together, they are a forcefield in the study of the brain with the unique ability to share their knowledge at a level that is both educational and approachable.
Today, we dive into the latest Alzheimer's research and what you can do to prevent it. They also discuss their role in the Netflix documentary "You Are What You Eat," explore menopause and hormone replacement therapy for women, highlight key vascular factors for brain health, and stress the importance of evidence-based recommendations.
It’s entertaining. It’s informative. It’s Team Sherzai - The Brain Docs.

This is very interesting and a keeper. My husband recently passed away with Dementia plus other issues. Depending on what kind of Health Insurance you have, it was very hard to get an appointment to see a Neurologist!

Maybe other factors that have women two times more likely to get Alzheimers is the huge stress load of working at home plus a day job; greater toxic loads-- they wear so much more makeup and body lotions; also, they use chemicals to clean the house; and they are more prone to get on crazy dietary weight loss plans because body image is so much more important to them.

I know we want solutions for everyone, but If sauna works for rich white Finlanders, would it work for rich white Americans?

"Do you really want to end your podcast like this?" Dean 😂 in reference to alcohol consumption. Loved your reviewing A1C, B/P and LDL numbers. What is good for the heart ❤ is good for the brain 🧠. Keep it PLANTSTRONG! 🥬🥦🍎🍊

I’m still confused about Omega 3 and DHA. How do inlanders in parts of world without eating fish get it over our history?? Did their elderly suffer from lack of supplementing DHA? Or is enough available in various land foods? 🤷‍♀️

Did Dean get a winged scapula from those Extreme pushups?? And/or was it a muscle tear that needed surgical repair. I have family member who harmed scapula nerve the Same way!!
Beware of too many pushups if not mindful. 💜🙏

Interesting to contrast their results with their children with a recent loudmouth comment by Layne Norton delivering a blanket "eff you" to parents who raise their children vegan. Trying to be fair, I suppose he was talking about ignoring B12 or omega 3, but still, if Layne considers himself to be science based he needs to do much better than that.

Michael Gregor needs to be called out for recommending foods with chemicals in them...
