I got 130 hours into this game. Only game I platinumed as well.game of the decade for me. I replayed Nier automata after and I see stellar blade as an improvement over it personally. Also it runs so smooth, the attention to detail is amazing, the double jump is just chefs kiss. I can't stop taking screenshots and clips. Shiftup are gods
Don't know yet but it absolutely looks like "NieR Automata: Relaunched", which is excellent (i think Yoko Taro himslef said "It's better than NA" or something like that). Gotta get the hardware to play it first. And the time ... play or read the book on Akka? Ye Gods!
1:14 you described it on point. It has a PS2/3 vibe to it, everything is just cool and interesting, but not too much depth on the characters. Easy on the mind but stunning and fun gameply. I really like the theme too
I think the problem with the English voice acting is down to the director. A lot of times it seems like they got no direction and were just reading off the script without the context of the scene.
To anyone struggling with combat. You can wreck enemies in the game with the beta L1 circle ability (wave slice doodle) it's a consistent knockdown ability...couple that with stun grenades and a full beta energy bar... that's about 20~ secs of straight bullying bosses.
Stellar Blade is a guitar - easy to play, yet hard to master. There are layers of depth to its story and core metaphors that few will understand...unless you happen to be into mythology, philosophy, metaphysics, and know a little Greek, along with the meaning of virgin births in myth. Mostly, though, it delivers such astonishing feedback in combat for getting things just right. Plus Eve is cute and the outfits...oh...my....gawd! Art direction is outstanding as are many of its original soundtracks. It's a tour de force and proof that, yes, videos games can be art.
Stellar Blade in a lot of ways is the hack and slash game I’ve desperately wanted since Devil May Cry 5 and I love playing as Eve very much (the budgets further add to her appeal). There’s definitely much they can add to the existing formula with a sequel and o very much look forward to one. The game got a price cut on Amazon as of late so definitely get it for the holidays (or pile into the PC release when that comes out if that’s more your alley). By the way it also feels great to finally play a hack and shady game again that actually remembers what blocking and parrying is instead of lazily relying on only Bayonetta’s dodge yet again (looking at you Darksiders 2 and Wukong).
Really good game. I'd give it 8.5 personally. I like Eve's design and i think its cool how she keeps her sword on her ponytail, the OST is fantastic, and the combat is fun. Unfortunately i usually can't watch others play this game because of player customization.
Dialog was pretty bad, story was paper-thin and predictable, soundtrack was great, graphics were great, gameplay was phenomenal. Finding collectibles and new outfits was super addictive. It's one of the rare games that I actually NG+'d, and I didn't even do that for Elden Ring.
They talk about the story or depth of characters as if they have PHDs in Liberal Arts and Theater Never mind games like DOOM with little story and zero character development to be had Or Dark Souls series where it requires multiple playthroughs and reading every piece of lore just to understand the story.
The game is great but 9.5 is just not what I'd give it. The story is great but narrated very poorly, EVE actually has some significant character development but understanding why would require you to read the lore which is why I say narrated poorly. Overall 8/10 good story if you read the lore if you cant be bothered 7/10. Just know that this criticism isn't from a point of trying to make people hate this game because I like it. I hope that my criticisms will be fixed in a sequel. Frankly I wouldnt be surprised if my narration concerns were budget constraints and I'd like if the voice acting was a LOT better. Sorry im so late I just have a lot to say.
Unlike you, I actually expected the game to be good. I kept an eye on the game ever since it was originally called Project Eve, and was already impressed with the look of the combat and how far the visuals went. The other is that feeling I had after playing Lies of P, so I was hopeful that Shift Up would stick the landing the way Neowiz and Round 8 did. As such, bought the disc with no hesitation, and have no regrets platinuming it. Something as simple as unlocking outfits through playing the game, something that used to be the norm, as opposed to paying out of your nose just felt right. And the fact it is not afraid to change the pace of the game as opposed to purely sticking with melee through puzzles or the shooting levels was very old school of Shift Up to do. The delivery of the story is weak, though I didn't mind it since its big focus was on the gameplay. That said, the lore and world building is good, and should've been better presented. And, of course, the soundtrack was awesome. It's pretty much the rare time I don't regret having a PS5.
Dude yet another killer video! The visuals are amazing! After playing so many combat games you should be a beast in a real life survival situation at this point!
I`ll keep saying it, Stellar Blade needs to win game of the year (GOTY). why? Shift Up (sick name) has made an amazing game that they have put a lot of effort in (the fact that they made the lip sink different when it comes to both English and Korean voices is amazing which they did not have to do). It has a LOT of outfit customisation option. They have released free DLC with meaningful content. Sick hack & slash combat (H&S has been in the decline but now more are being made). This game has been receiving knockback by woke weirdos and they have stood firm. The game has a attractive protagonist and other good looking characters. And them rejecting black rock to be involved in their game. Doing this will let the developers know what we want in videogames, it will encourage Shift Up to make more sick games like Stellar Blade (Which they might), plus it could encourage developer start make make games like Stellar Blade (hack & slash) and replicate there practices, making them win GOTY will be a plus for gamers.
Automata is more universally praised and even THAT game couldn't be taken seriously by the industry (at least it got best soundtrack) here's hoping SB gets a win for best soundtrack because it's not going to be taken seriously in anyway purely because how Eve looks
I’ve long wanted a hack & slash renaissance after Devil May Cry 5 came out but everyone else either wanted to make Souls clones or Bayonetta imitators (I don’t hate Bayo, just tired of them forgetting what parrying is). And not only does Stellar Blade feel superb to play, Eve is simply exquisite to play as and dress up.
What are your thoughts on Stellar Blade?

Shiftup are gods
What I’ve come to expect from modern entertainment: More Family (RIP Tachy), Madness (F.U. Raven), and Fish (EVE and the 🐳+🦈)

All the stupid controversy aside it’s a very solid fun a stylish game.

This is why we play games.....for the gameplay....not voice acting or deep stories. 9.5/10
Yeah, but those can also be legit reasons in their own right
They talk about the story or depth of characters as if they have PHDs in Liberal Arts and Theater
Never mind games like DOOM with little story and zero character development to be had
Or Dark Souls series where it requires multiple playthroughs and reading every piece of lore just to understand the story.
The story was still a lot deeper and the voice actor was as well done if not better then well done then most games today
Exactly! It’s a Game, not a Movie. If I want a story, I’ll go boot up Netflix

great video keep up the amazing work I've been following your channel for a while and your content is brilliant
Thank you! Appreciate it friend
i kinda think that adams acting had a reason to sound like what it did
After beating the game more than twice, yeah lol

This game is awesome but damn, when will they release the full ost

@ashortginger they did say summer but nothing. Photo mode was delayed
They did release full osts. -- 189 sons --

Knowing how the media hates the game, it won’t be nominated to the game awards in Hollywood

Mega Man Zero but even harder

i like how anti woke people said this game would save triple a gaming but SB still sold poorly
Except it didn't sell poorly. It sold about as expected for a new IP, and from a developer new to making console games.
I’d hardly call a million+ copies sold “poor”
@@zackfair67911 million copies to Sony is a failure. These days in modern gaming won’t be profitable when a game sold 1 million.
@@therealjaystone2344 You can send your armchair analysis to Shift Up and argue with them about it. They said the game exceeded sales expectations.
@@zackfair6791 for shift up, yes. Sony, however, no.
