NoClip posted a documentary about how Vampire Survivors was made yesterday. Just a tip to those who has not seen it yet. It was a fun watch.
Great video! Here's a few other good ones:
*Time Wasters* = The biggest innovation to VS-likes yet. Fast paced and tons of content.
*Boneraiser Minions* = You don't attack, your minions do. Multiple characters with their own skill trees, adorable spooky aesthetic.
*Gunlocked* = VS but a shmup. You're always dodging, so perfect if you prefer more active gameplay. Lots of characters with customisable starting builds.
*Nomad Survival* = Similar to VS but with very unique characters. Starts simple but expands with content the more you play.
Dex has done a few videos on Nomad Survival, well worth a watch.

Dex ever since I found your channel from asmongold I have been using your videos on what new like vampire survivors game. I have purchased most of the games on this list. Thanks for everything you do. I am hooked on this genre of game now and most of my time is spent playing these kinds of games. Great videos keep up the great work the community appreciates you Sir.
There is also Spirit Hunters:Infinite Horde.
I think all these are Different in many ways. My aesthetic and play style is Halls of Torment. I think I found my true home. I’ll always remember Vampire Survivors though. Great Video as always.

Great IP. Deep Rock Galactic is one of my favorite games. There was recently a playtest that is over, but keep your eyes open.

Good stuff Dex! I already knew about most of these, since you got me hooked on these types of games pretty early on hah!
My favorite has got to be Timewasters though, a bit more engaging to me, well balanced and still getting frequent updates with content. Dunno if you've tried it, but I definitely recommend it!

Boneraiser Minions has been my only other obsession in this genre outside of Vampire Survivors. It does a lot of stuff that I think is unique in the genre, plus the music & asthetics are exactly my taste.
Video of Rogue Genesia would be nice again from time to time. Also with the content the dev has planned, it could bring lots of fun stuff in the future.

I like early Vampire Survivor but it got a bit too silly with too many things. I picked up Yet Another Zombie Survivor last weekend and played about 6 hours until my thumb started hurting and the sun started coming up in the morning. I'm looking forward to a few more char and new maps.
For me I would recommend Sexy Mystic Survivors. It's legitimately fun to play though in my opinion I think it's lacking in content. If I had a large mountain of money on hand, I would buy the game from the original game developers, hire more game developers and designers, and add in/on a lot more contents such as more maps, more enemies, and most importantly a lot more characters, equippable items, and different clothing items and outfits to customize your girls with.
+1 Soutstone Survivors, it very polished for early access.
Yet Another Zombie Survivor looks pretty good. I might give it a go :D
I tried some of them, but so far none have gotten the perfect feel of Halls of Torment. Still, the good thing is that they're so cheap (or even free), so it's not that much of a loss if you only get like 10 hours of gameplay.

2 of these that have gone under your radar are Time Wasters and Spellbook Demonslayers
Time waster is good indeed. Spellbook it's a long time since I played it, so I don't know in what state it is.
Spellbook Demonslayers is same dev as halls of torment.
Sincerely the best survivor like out there is Boneraiser Minions, for me Yet Another Zombie Survivor doesn't even enter TOP 10

i would suggest another game that is just a demo for now, "an ankou" is similar to this genre but adds also crafting to the mix. i've tried it and enjoyed very much! nice style, music and difficulty
In short. Halls of Torment is the best one.

Not really, Hades falls more into roguelike/roguelite while VS falls into horde survival/reverse bullet hell
No, I'm not looking for more games. I need to finish Trails to Azure's final parts so I can move in to the new Zelda. Thanks to these 2 stupid games it's been delayed for over a month. I'll never get to Zelda when I start another one.
