Player community is one of the best. I also have to give respect to the developers for faithfully recreating the maps. This game partially contributed to our family decision in choosing Normandy as our vacation destination last year. Walking around Carentan irl felt eerily familiar, they couldn't understand why I kept carefully peaking around every corner. There's a great pizza joint under the Arches in town center if you ever end up there. Awesome game, gonna go play it now ;)
Still one of the best games I've ever played in my lifetime so far, I'm a sucker for these types of games and when i heard about this i was like, i gotta buy this asap! So far the only and probably most common thing that i dislike is that it needs an extremely beefy PC, probably the reason why people play it on consoles... But about the gameplay, I'm actually surprised that every server that i join there's friendly people who always wanna make your experience fun in some kind of way, either through communication or through shooting enemies i guess... Still without a doubt 10/10 game, would highly recommend 😊
this was the first tactical shooter I've played, but I find WW2 really lends well to this type of game. The weapons aren't too advanced, ie, red dot scopes. This is the exact game I wanted when I played Medal of Honor Allied Assault and stormed the beaches of Normandy.
I love this game too. I also loving players that are good Squad leaders. Gouda, this was a GREAT example of patient and purposeful squad leading. The constant communication was perfect. I learn every time I watch an experienced player play any position.
Been playing it for a couple years on Xbox Series X & addicted, i'm stoked that the community is growing. Just just off it for the night after several awesome rounds with good people working together & using comms. Easily & by far my fave WW2 game. To all of the new players.....WELCOME TO HELL!
I uninstalled this game out of anger like 5 times when I first got it, but something about it made me come back, I think it was the ambience, action, and challenge of actually having to think quickly and react very fast to survive the combat which kept me coming back, getting into a fight is always a rush and winning it feels even better.
No other games compete with the style of gameplay the battle field style of game play with the hardcore dmg and proximity chat the world of tanks style of damage for tanks large maps it's a fun game
I just started playing today! and only the very first game did the squad use mic's, I watch your vids and love the comm's and team work, I wish I could find a squad like that to learn in. Keep up the good video's, seems it may be the only way to learn HLL for me
Keep playing and try each different class and soon you'll figure it out. You'll run into players that will help you out too. One of the most important things is to learn the engineer class and how and where to place resource nodes. They are crucial to help the team win and you gain experience from them even if you switch classes.
My biggest nightmare is losing my love for this game 🤣 it’s the only reason I still play video games at all and it’s my fav game of all time. And I’ve had a lot of favorite video games over the years
Ive been stuck on Insurgency for 3 years didnt even know this game was on console...i feel i can succeed a little sooner based on the game styles being kind of similar but this just seems hard af to play trying to decide if it's worth getting at this stage 🤔
Dude, definitely get this game. It is frustrating at first because it doesn’t play like BF or COD. You really have to move carefully and deliberately to avoid being shot, but I can guarantee that if you really like FPS games then you will fall in love with this game.
I became it a bit worried around June last year with the bad trailer, new devs, financial trouble at Team17, the review bombing and stuff, but I'm happy HLL pushed through and the fanbase stayed around. The core concepts of the game are just really good.
This is the biggest thing for me. The amount of times I've talked to brick walls just puts me off from playing this game. This game is a gem and I'm so sad there aren't mic only servers.
This game is extreme ups and downs. Few nights ago I had the best time with random guys. We instantly gelled together, did our jobs and had a lot of fun. The next night was 5 hours of the exact opposite. Cringe worthy round after round of no one doing their jobs, not one garrison placed in the first 20 minutes, no commander, getting steam rolled. Switched servers, same thing. I hate this game more than I loved it because it requires too much to fall into place to be actual fun. But when it all falls into place, win or lose, it can be magical. But the stress of getting that magic and the cringe I have to go through to get it is shaving years off my life.
Yeah, people need to shut up and not complain. That’s what causes that everyone’s afraid to try being the commander or the squad leader, and everybody goes quiet because of crybabies if you don’t like the way, the army is being led then you lead it otherwise let people try.
@@kylerobison1425 Since U9, you still have 20% of players doing what's needed so the other 80% can just shoot things. This is because the game is a constant revolving door of new players. You can jump in as Commander, but that doesn't mean anyone will listen or act. Prior to U9, the commander didn't need to build a single garrison. But since then it's become the commanders job for some reason. This is from a lack of leadership game wide. Which is why 1 in 10 matches go the full length these days, and are actually enticing. This used to be 1 in 3 matches. But I'm sure it's because of all the people who need to shut up and stop complaining. Pfff.
It’s because of the new players from Gamepass. It will be a few months I imagine before these new players get the hang of how to win matches. It’s an investment in the game’s future which will be worth it in the long run.
I liked, I've been subscribed, and yes, I'm into Hell Let Loose content. What I'm not into Gouda is well, sorry boss... Lame video titles whose sole purpose is annoy. I know what you'll say, "But the algorithm forces me too..." but we know that's not really true, its the content people stay for boss, not the titles. Every game "has problems" that's simple a point of logic, folks still rave about Red Orchestra for instance, and look at Post Scrip..sorry, "Squad 44", people are still clearly playing it despite it's "problems" I guess what I'm really saying bro is, don't troll for views.. you don't need too.
3:40 and you just goddamn know that when you complain about spawn camping, other gamers online are going to say "then don't spawn at the same OP over and over!" 🙄
I do have the game and I plan on playing it more. However, it's more similar to Squad which I really enjoy but PS/S44 still feels a little outdated compared to it so hopefully since the devs took over we'll see a couple of updates to bring it up to par with Squad/HLL. Just my opinion though, I know you enjoy it a lot ;)
Ive played HLL for years and never heard somebody complain about its optimization, the fact that it requires an above average pc to run right is a whole another discussion lol last thing I heard somebody complain about was the bad adaptation of the british forces armament, nothing big. If theres something "holding" this game down, its is hardcore nature... Nothing to do with its technical side.
I could literally talk for 6 hours straight about it's issues. From the really poor hit reg, to the origin rebasing or the 300,000 triangle count for a single beam on a bridge, the tank penetration issues, ADS stutter, Kursk and Stuttergrad, MG mounting, spawning in enemy HQ, spawning into inaccessible buildings, crashing, keybindings resetting, VoIP, and about 30 other major issues that disgruntle players. The hardcore nature is not holding it back, it's new players who get into a game and realize how poor it runs on great hardware. All the optimization you have to do to your PC just to not dip below 50 fps, and thats if players spend their free time searching the web for a fix. It's absurd after 4 years of development and $45 dollars later, you start to question if you wasted your money, and oops, your 2 hour return window is up. This is not a game you can start and run and have zero issues. You have to whisper sweet nothings directly into your GPU and hope that the game can make it through a full match, just to get your XP, on that long grind towards Assault 9. Btw, the British weapons are still a disaster. Their not centered or zeroed properly, and for example, the Sten is about 30% larger on screen than the Grease Gun. Almost all the guns are 20% larger than any other faction. This is what outsourcing to save money does.
Love the game but.....the community is awful. 90% non communicating, maybe 1 in 20 games I can find a squad that is actually playing the game as it should be. And that's after negotiating the minefield of trying to get onto a server with more than 5 players or is close to ending and most SL have given up and left as the squads wont talk or listen. I really do think HLL is dying, maybe just for console?

you need to give Squad 44 a real try d00d! 😉🪖
This game feels rewarding to play and the majority of the player base are nice guys. It goes along way
HLL for me is like golf...even though you suck when u start playing, its addicting and u wanna play more and more to get better
Exactly I came back to the game and I am hooked I love getting better and better
As an avid club Golfer, and HLL player. Yes!

Thanks mate :) I always enjoy playing focused and having a good squad going on but not too tryhard
My 10 greatest gaming experiences have come from this game. When it works, it works, there is no gaming experience like it, certainly on console.
Great editing, Solid commentary, Awesome video
Glad you enjoyed!

Dutch let loose jonge!
East coast server is doable but I prefer playing with the neighbors.
Lekker bezig
Will always come back to HLL its a gem
This is the definition of WWII Tactical Mil sim FPS; so rewarding
Squad 44 is the actual definition, HLL is much more arcade like

Keep pumpin' dude. Great narrative content.
Gouda, you don't happen to stream, do you? Just trying to see how I could observe more gameplay!
Thanks mate, no I don't stream. The game has quite a lot of downtime so it's not ideal for streaming imo. And also I enjoy editing the episodes ;)
Hell let loose is everything battlefield should have been.
Im enjoying getting better and better its fun hunting enemy garrisons
I know there's a game even more simulator than this, but I find the level of simulation of HLL quite balanced and maybe that's why this game's so fun.
That spot where the airhead is crazy.
My favorite game of all time. Can’t just throw it away because devs made a few slip ups.
My biggest nightmare is losing my love for this game 🤣 it’s the only reason I still play video games at all and it’s my fav game of all time. And I’ve had a lot of favorite video games over the years
Best WW2 1st person shooter game hands down
1:24 How did he die from that arty shell?!?! He looks so far away from the explosion!
Yeah that's a strange one I have a ton of time on this game and that shouldn't have happened
I got like 900 hours and I love the game ill quit for months then ill miss it and play another year lol.

It's just a straight up fun game. Exactly how most players like fps. Sure has some bugs, but the fun side of it overalls the issues
The fact that we even have to consider the potential demise of this incredible game is insanity.
I mean the game had almost 13k players on steam alone so it is far far from dying
I became it a bit worried around June last year with the bad trailer, new devs, financial trouble at Team17, the review bombing and stuff, but I'm happy HLL pushed through and the fanbase stayed around. The core concepts of the game are just really good.
@@AgentOrange88785 HLL has sold 3.8 million copies though. We all can easily see the potential, and we all hope it comes to fruition.
Im enjoying it now and will continue but i hope theres another game like it or they continue support so i can still play in 5 years
The fact that it’s really only mill sim type game on console is big deal
why would it die? it just came to game pass on xbox I just got into it still has some bugs though
Nice match!
Best game ever made in this genre. They created a great BOB experience. Does not work in some places.
I absolutely love this game. It still is annoying when people don't use mics and/or listen to squad leaders, in THE MICROPHONE GAME.

Best game ever!
I bought this game for a friend I tried it out and never went back it only needs paratroopers
Paratroopers are simulated through the commander "airhead" ability
Boogie 5 in the chat ❤
It doesn’t have a fucking canteen.

Squad 44 is way better in all aspects, sad that it gets overshadowed by this game just because its on console.
the best real game!!!! is a complex shooter.
100%
