I have this same set too, haven´t built it yet, need to practise before making a replica of my real car :> Mine´s a red eurospec ´89, it´s the same but the bumper has no fog lights.
A few questions: 1. Did you dilute the Tamiya paint before they go into the airbrush? 2. What’s the point of painting the lines after scribing? Thank you
Hey man really nice build i want to build one of those as well im wondering if those rims came with the car because they are really nice and would be awesome to have them on the one i want to build.
Looks great Tom! Where do you recommend I go other than here on YT to learn more about building great models? I know you had recommended the scaleplasticcar forums a couple of years ago but that place is dead now.
That's too bad.. guess I will stick with UA-cam as I don't have a facebook account and don't want one. I'm glad we have a small few great channels like yours here to learn about the hobby.
I don't mean to bring up an old thread, but Instagram is filled with fantastic modellers! Once you start searching for 1/24 scale model pages, your explore page will slowly start flowing with many other modellers. Everyone is incredibly nice and knowledgeable, I've learned lots from many instagrammers!
Nice build as always! One question; I notice that you always paint the headlight buckets silver but irl they are always chromed. Can they be painted with Alclad chrome to make them look even more realistic?
Sure. It would just be a huge amount of work in this case as its a molded in piece to the body. Youd need to mask if off apply a gloss black and then the alclad. For a very minor difference if you ask me. But it is possible. Yes
:S. Voortaan eerst even op jouw website kijken :-))
Can these sorta model cars be painted with model paints/paint brushes as opposed to an airbrush? Been looking into a 1/24th scale model myself but having to spend 2x the model price on an airbrush puts me off
@@TheScalemodelingChannel i try, it smudges alot and usually wipes it out of the panel line. Do i need to scribe deeper lines? Thanks so much, your models are art.
So much better than my version. Didn’t think to add a clear coat!
I love your builds, im surprised that your channel is not getting much views
Wow this looked real! Doesnt' look a bit like plastic. Good job sir! You deserve more views!
Nice! I really dig the camber detail and the Spoon style wheels!
Love this car so much, can't wait for the next build
Remember when Honda used to make pretty cars?
But welcome to 2019
But I like my new Honda Civic!
okleydokley one of the best cars Honda ever build

I've built this model as well... Yours looks much better... Great work! Subbed.
I think these cars are just awesome unbelievably cool.
Nice to see you venture out and play other characters. You were great as Wonder Woman.
Best crx I’ve seen. With it was mine. Model car and real car.
I need to get my hands on 2 or 3 of these. I want to build my CRX as it is now, then make 2 different modified versions of it.
Very nice build of a very nice car. Looking forward to the next video. See you.
Nice build as always. The color was a Good choice.
Duuude ! i love this one so bad !

Awesome build brother
One of my all time favorite builds. Great job!

BEAUTIFUL CAR
Great car! Nice build!

Would love to see a window tutorial how you get yourpant so clean on your winshield
Already did, couple years ago
Amazing build but It bothers me the tires are on backwards, the rotational direction is reversed D=
Based on the dash that's an 88 or 89 crx but can't tell without seeing the inside door panels. I had an 89 Si I still miss
Tamiya acrylic paint can be used gaia or Mr hobby thinner?
Another well done job! What color do youse for engine block and muffler? ‘Tis.
Awesome crx man
Hey man really nice build i want to build one of those as well im wondering if those rims came with the car because they are really nice and would be awesome to have them on the one i want to build.
They did not come with the kit
Fantastic result! do you still wet sand down and polish your models or the paint work is just what the airbrush live behind?
I do not polish
Sick build!
Amazing work!
and the following model was the targa CRX Del Sol, the tree in the GT4 videogame
Great one
I WOULD LOVE TO OWN THIS AS SCALEMODEL
this model was based on the 80s Civic Type CRX Charade

All forums are pretty much dead. Sadly facebook seems to be where everyone is. No real quality content there mostly though :(

You can also try and bare metal foil the inside but the wrinkles are a hassle.
what inch of wheels did you choose

Is it me or do others like the smell of model cars and the paint?
How much would something like that cost
great model - these are very rare now - what do you think of my videos?
Cool Video Tom...
I wanna get into collecting 1:24 models what are the best lines out there?
From where do you source these models? Great work btw
Amazing!
what is the purpose of the marker? I'm new to this channel...
Jeff Bell it's to outline the mold line marks that need to be sanded.
What method would I use to recreate the faded clear coat look?
Sand paper, and maybe matt clearcoat?
Great vid
When using Tamiya acrylic paints on a airbrush, do you mix it with thinner? What's the ratio? Thanks
Yes with x20a, not sure. I just keep adding thinner until it flows through nicely
@@TheScalemodelingChannel thank you so much and keep delivering awesome videos. Best tutorials available.
Can these sorta model cars be painted with model paints/paint brushes as opposed to an airbrush? Been looking into a 1/24th scale model myself but having to spend 2x the model price on an airbrush puts me off
Sure. They won’t look good though. Try spray cans
You should attempt to wrap a car
wonderful
Seats would have looked good in red flock
what brand and model do you use to sand the panel lines at the beginning of the assembly
Why did you use a permanent marker for the panel lines? Was that just for guide coat?
Yes
this video requires some serious synthwave music in the background
are you sell it??
Five star rims on a cr-x, hello 1990's.
Haha front break caliper at back position...
you should build superbike
Where do you get your models from?
a CR-X Type-R?
hi what paint are better for car models? mr hobby lacquer or tamiya enamel? zero paint are kind of expensive....
Equal
@@TheScalemodelingChannel I heard they are very toxic, are the acrilic durable or scratch resistant
chino chen neither
@@TheScalemodelingChannel hello again do you have to clean the airbrush between layer? or u must clean after 1 layer of paint
You need a U.S. website, and dealership as the prices are in euros.
Thats because i live in europe ;)
HOW MUCH IT IS??
Wish i would have seen this before attempting my 1st one, boy am I doing it wrong
How do you wipe the excess panel line marking?
With a q tip
@@TheScalemodelingChannel i try, it smudges alot and usually wipes it out of the panel line. Do i need to scribe deeper lines? Thanks so much, your models are art.
Such a shame they dont give you a little engine to build!
However, you can tell from the hood it has the 1.6 DOHC ZC engine :D
Is that music from the last of us???
