Sims 2 Wedding: Everyone sitting down good and mannerly to witness the event. Sims 4 Wedding: Everyone on a computer, swaying, grilling hot dogs, broke a toilet, or taking a nap.
Me neither, but some simmers are still praising it, usually if a game is good, you will be hyped for the next game, but when a game isn't good, you won't be looking much foward to it, I mean it's good to have hope, but some simmers are being really toxic about it
@@joaolima7131 You're right... this is the first sims game I am not excited for, and its because Sims 4 was the first real disappointment. They could definitely save the series, but I expect Sims 5 to be a pay-to-win mobile game.
@@Rekowcski they already went there to an extent with Sims Freeplay. It was ok when I first started playing, but things rapidly became such that you couldn't complete any of the limited time events because it would take too long without using premium currency to skip. Like all freemium mobile games, the desperation to take more and more money from players just took over.
YES!!! The Sims 3 is my personal favorite game in the franchise but when I started playing it I definitely felt that the relationship system was a huge downgrade. I looove the one-sided feelings in The Sims 2 and I desperately wish they would bring that back. It's so much better for storytelling!
it still amazes me how detailed and ahead of it’s time the sims 2 was and makes me wonder: if all this was possible to code and program back in 2009 or whatever why couldn’t ea just make it like this again for the sims 4 in 2022😭
I want Sims 2's details in the sims 3. I'm finally able to play TS3 at max settings and find myself playing for hours on end. TS2 details like Bathing Babies in sinks, Taking babies to the kitchen to get their 🍼 bottle. Bottles being tossed and left on the floor to be cleaned up, children rushing to their parents when they get an A+ report card. Cutscenes, Storyline, Elder sims actually sounding like elders. Shopping for clothes, seeing sims actually get into their cars and drive along with so much more is everything
Agree completely with your point. Miss all the family gameplay that 2 offered. It makes me so emotional seeing children dance with their parents for example 🥺. Ah there is a new mod at modthesims that let's your Sims bath their babies in sinks for TS3 by the way. TheSweetSimmer in general has amazing mods for smaller sims in ts3. I play with them all the time, to get more interactions, activities and family gameplay in general. She also makes new animations that look as professional as EA's 😍. Can't recommend her enough!
i don’t understand how they can fail so bad when they could’ve literally just redone what has pretty much been perfected already… like all the thinking is already done. their only job was to improve it and make it look and run nice. wtf is wrong with this company
While I agree with this list, there is one thing you forgot. Just ONE small thing. Despite its clunkiness and occasional weirdness: The mechanics in Sims 2 work. And they usually work as intended. Let's compare visiting restaurants: In The Sims 2 you go to a restaurant lot, where all the work NPCs will be there and ready to do their jobs. Townies will then arrive after your Sims and get seated and do other restaurant related stuff. You Sims can get a table without a problem, place an order without a problem, get served their food without a problem and can skip pay... err I mean pay the bill without a problem. Depending on how the restaurant is build you can continue to spend time there, meet some neighbors etc. Dating and hangout mechanics also work quite well in the restaurants. In Sims 4 you can consider yourself lucky if you get to the eating part. And may the Sim lord have mercy when you are there for an outing! Half the time my Sims visit a bar the bartender just... leaves. And may come back two hours later. Never had this problem in 2. Never. I love building restaurants in the games and I love having my Sims treat themselves occasionally to just have a nice meal and relax or have a place to meet others. Or perhaps the restaurant is just part of the bowling alley to grab something to eat while you make a fool of yourselves. I love doing this in 2, because it works fine. Worst that happens is the waiter throwing food on your Sim (which is an intended possibility) or taking longer due to many Sims taking up space (which an be avoided if you leave enough space to maneuver and is somewhat intended). In 4? The waiter forgets you exist. The cooks don't do much. Your Sim waits an entire day for... SOMETHING, while in 2 it takes at most an ingame hour to receive the food. That's the thing. Sims 2 mechanics are deep and intricate, often even interwoven with new or old mechanics from EPs and, usually, work without big issues. Most of Sims 2 bugs are funny glitches or have to be actively provoked with cheats. Bugs in 4 are a constant annoyance and while a lot of the mechanics are neat on paper, they fall completely flat in practice. Doesn't help that most of them are tied to the mood system, which... is way too shallow and too easy to manipulate. And on top of that they often just don't work as intended. Restaurants in 4 could be just as cool as in 2. The core ideas and mechanics are there, they just don't work. Sims 4's core problem is the lack of intricate and WORKING mechanics. Sims 2 was a product of love and care and it shows in all the little details and it can be felt while playing. The clunkiness? Eh, it's part of the charm, the game still largely works as intended is well thought out and fun. Sims 2 will remain my favourite. It has introduced me into the series and I spend most of my Sim time on it. I loved building own neighbourhoods, the emphasis on creative storytelling, the Sims that feel alive and have their own personality, the wants and fears (and its excellent dynamics!), the vacation EP that actually has vacations rather than "adventures", the excellent business EP... the comment is too long already, let's just say: I agree with your list. :P Sims 2 has the heart that Sims 4 desperately needed. Oh! And of course. *turns on radio* *Salsa is blasting through the house* This! :D
Let’s not forget that Sims 2 is a game that was left in 2008, fifteen years ago, and Sims 4 is a game of today that’s still actively being developed; and it’s times worse than the former 💀
Whenever I play The Sims 2 everybody dances in the bathroom when the radio is on and they refuse to leave when someone shoos them out, and then that Sim gives up and starts dancing too
I started playing Sims 2 when I was like 8 or 9. I'm 23 now and still play it every few months when I have time. That game has a special place in my heart ❤️
Wants/Fears in Sims 4 is still broken. Unless you just let your Sim run free and tell them nothing, they will have a 'fear of missing out on their dream". And there is no easy way to help them achieve this. Even if you fulfill all of their wants, they are still just angry or sad ALL of the time. So broken
Ong i literally downloaded a mod to completely block out fears in ts4 because of how bad it is Like i had a sim get a dead end job fear... she was working her dream job and got frequent promotions 😐
@@blankuser987 RIGHT?! Holy shit same thing for me. Both my sims were working their dream jobs, but had the constant "fear of dead end job". Like wtf?? Totally broken
god so much this. had a bug where a sim was stuck being scared of the dark despite me having done everything to resolve it in their childhood. happened to ANOTHER when she never even got the fear at first when she was a kid. and then suddenly one day she was running around scared even during daytime. she was just stuck refreshing the scare no matter what time of day
If you mix Sims 2 system with Sims 3 Open World and add the atmosphere when you visit Lots in Sims 1 to the game, you have the perfect Sims game. I don't care about graphics, to me as long as I can have the 'life simulator' feeling, even 2D is fine.
I am finishing up a video on the sims 1 and that “atmosphere” is one of the best thjngs about the game. The sounds, music and voice acting in sims 1 always get me in the mood.
@@Rekowcski yeah I've played that one the most of all Sims games (I was a student at the time it was out, so plenty of free time) and there's definitely a feeling of dedication and love about the development of it that is absent in 4. The main thing that keeps me from going back to it is the never aging kids. I don't mind Sims not getting old and dying (more time to have them achieve everything) but the inability to age up from birth to adult is painful.
Sims 2 was a passion project. Sims 4 was made only to make money. The ideal Sims would be Sims 2 with open world and content from 3 and building from Sims 4 and maybe it's look. I don't mind the cartoonist look, is just that the AI doesn't feel alive
Great video. Sims 2 remains my favorite game. I love that wants and fears can change depending on what's going on in the game while playing. For instance, in one family I had the father go and fix the microwave that had broken down. While doing that he got zapped and his son happened to be there and saw it happen. Father survived but I noticed that the son had rolled the fear of his father dying! I love a lot of the little details in the game: parents tucking in their children, looking at things out of windows, active children running everywhere. Kids running to meet their parents when they come home. Or the one child I had that started at a -6 daily points with her baby brother! Not only that but she started gossiping about him to her other brother! Sibling rivalry? There are some things I wish were better with the game (it is old, after all) but I just can't stick with Sims 3 for any length of time and I've never played Sims 4 so I'm stuck playing Sims 2 until I just can't anymore !
The Sims 2 is very hard to forget. That's a big step up after the sims 1. The most fun Body Shop mod is the sims 2, but the most fun game is The Sims 3.
I absolutely think that TS3 had the most to offer in gameplay content, too bad they didn't actually make the game properly but left it glitchy and butt ugly. Not to mention the stripping of all sorts of nice details from TS2. How ever; the open world is awesome, the sheer amount of content and things to do in the earlier packs is unparalleld in the franchise (later packs start to get that familiar rotter flavour to them that permeates TS4: not much substance and so many pointles, annoying "features"... looking at you university pack, I don't want my swamp dwelling vampire to be a "jock" th?? Atleast in Late Night you could opt out from the celebrity system or disable celebrity feature altogether.) And before anyone comes at me with "but CC!", if you need to download fanmade content to make the game paletable or fun, the game isn't doing its job. Excluding downloading content to customize details to your personal preference (new clothes/hair/items...) to fix compatability issues with old games & new interfaces and downloading premade lots/neighbourhoods/families for the heck of it, you shouldn't need to download any content for your game. All and all; TS1 is a classic where this all began, chaotic, sometimes rediculously difficult, wonderfully whimsical but not quite living up to its potential. TS2 has the most soul, is the richest in details and was obviously made out of love for the series, offering the peak of this franchise despite its age and restrictions. TS3 was ambitious and had such incredible ideas behind it but was ultimately released unfinished, glitchy and without proper testing, not to mention the constantly dropping quality of the later packs. TS4 is mostly just souless cash crab with incredibly agressive marketing campagne holding it up to revenue, tho, credit when credit is due: the building engine is the best in the franchise. Here's hoping that TS5 will be open world, full of flexible & varying gameplay content, rich in wonderful & whimsy details, easy on the eye (not plasticy like TS4, but balanced like TS2), fun and intuititive to build & create with and properly finished. Not holding my breath tho....
@@ScottCyclops I have right to complain about complainers, I’m always right . All you all do is complain over stupid things . You all are so ungreatful and I’m tired of you selfish brats
As many people said, the perfect sims game would be a game with: • sims 2 gameplay depth • sims 3 customization and maps • sims 4 Build & buy, CaS and emotion system
I tend to agree, but Sims 4 emotion system is pretty meh because it's SO easy to manipulate. At least, it's easy to manipulate away any negative emotions, which reduces them to basically just a sideshow that you mostly have to force into the foreground if you want them to have any effect.
@@Airbigbawls if you hate the sims 4 build mode then you would have a stroke in older games. No stretching the room and walls however you want, you have to do that room from scratch if you f up. No moving rooms, you has to build every wall yourself plus if you fd up you had to move everything manually. Sims 4 build mode is amazing compare to the old ones
@@Axyierl I wouldn't mind all of that, but what I hate about sims 4 build mode is the roofing system and the camera mainly. I use the T.O.O.L mod to put things where I want. But it still doesn't work on roofing. Also the floor system also sucks
What I never see people mention is the Sims 2 story album option, it was my favourite part of the game! I would take photos of all my sims' important steps in life and spend hours writing the family album creating my own story with pictures, I loved it! I felt sad when that didnt make it on the Sims 3.
I’d say you potentially forgot one major thing: the best thing about TS2 is the ability to play rotationally - something that’s not possible in the other games without extensive modding. I love playing a whole neighbourhood and seeing the storylines of the families interweave and change. Story progression is actually my least favourite feature of TS3 ( and now 4) and it didn’t work as intended anyway. Playing rotationally in TS2 allows you to leave one family and head over to the next - they’ll be right where you left them and you can carry on micromanaging their lives! I love it so much.
There is no denying Sims 2 is my favourite, along with Sims 1 and 3. I would like to add there are many features that started in Sims 2, where Sims 3 and 4 only update (downgraded in Sims 4 sometimes). The colour swatches in buy mode, building tools, detailed CAS, family trees, age groups, 3d camera view etc. It is truly revolutionary to the game series.
I'm working on making a desert downtown for Strangetown. It's going to take a long time because I have to build most of the lots from scratch to keep the terrain paint consistent. But it'll be worth it in the end.
I feel like Sims 2 aged better than Sims 3 in many ways, especially graphically.I was never a Sims 3 gal, grew up with 1 and 2,3 was at the time way too demanding for my computer and as it`s working now,it crashes A LOT without Nraas mods or other mods. But Sims 2 is still amazing, without any mods even.I`m big on CC and even with that,it`s still the most enjoyable game to play. It`s the only installment I never got bored of.
i just recently downloaded the sims 2, and it’s my favorite so far. i love how much detail there is and it makes the gameplay a lot more immersive. i grew up on the sims 3 and love it a lot, but the sims 2 is just so much better.
Sims 2 is just amazing. Even to this day, it still remains as my favorite in the series. The game is full on small details, and the memory system is still the best compared to the other games IMO. Even the graphics aren't a problem if you install default replacements.
TS2 is the real best sims game tbh. It still runs beautifully on computers, it had the most love and care put into it, you don’t need to buy a supercomputer to run it on high settings (though you do need Graphics Rules Maker) It has its issues, it’s definitely the most easily broken of the games, but the ability to *easily* create new neighborhoods using SC4 and build whatever you want is something that neither of its successors have managed to recreate. The only bad thing is that the heyday was over a decade ago, many of the mods and CC are disappearing or the meshes are becoming inaccessible. Still, I don’t have issues enjoying the game even with that.
I'm a Sims 3 kinda gal. I skipped 2, since I had finally perfected all my Sims 1 mods lol I always hear people singing its praises but after the open world of Sims 3, especially with story progression, I feel like it wouldn't hit the same for me as it did for those who grew up with it, and that it would possibly feel like Sims 4 in that something is missing. I still might try it sometime, just because it's so beloved. I do love watching Sims 2 videos and let's plays though, so who knows!
I love Sims 2, but Sims 3 is my baby. I put an ungodly amount of hours into that game and every time I play the TS4, I find myself missing TS3 more and more. At least I still have TS2, but open-world beats loading screens any day for me.
@@serenitymoon825 the only thing I don't get about 3 is it doesn't seem to want me to switch between families. When I try, it warns me about losing wants and desires. Is that just something you can ignore? It was never a problem with switching in Sims 2, but both 3 & 4 seem to make the whole thing more confusing.
3 is definitely my favorite. The open world is what seals the deal all by itself for me. That being said I do miss Sims 2 I switched from 1 late so I didn't get much time with it but I remember enjoying the gameplay, even if I was not a fan of the art style. Don't like the plasticity looking dolls. A style sims 4 unfortunately adopted.
This!!! The open world fits like a glove to this type of game. Got very disappointed when I learned 4 didn't keep it. I have fond memories of the sims 2, that was the game that introduced me to the series in the ps2, but the sims 3 on pc is definetely the way to play it
@@MasochistNinja tbh the Sims 3 was very laggy, which was dissapointing for a big company like EA, Isla Paradiso in particular was atrocious regarding to lag, TS4 already lags without open world, imagine with one, even in the gurus live streams the game seems to be lag, and their PCs are suposed to be better than most people. Yeah I love open world, but what's the point if they can't properly implement It?
You made some really nice points here. My preferred game is the Sims 3, but videos like this still make me miss the Sims 2 in a way. I guess it's nostalgia since my first ever experience with the Sims was watching my older sister play the Sims 2 when I was a kid. I learned all the Pleasantview characters by heart and always loved hearing about my sister's plans for them lol.
I tried to choose things that Sims 2 did better than Sims 4 and Sims 3, to show that it is still a strong game. I guess I am a "Sims 3 Simmer", but Sims 2 is my favourite game to play.
Same but with a cousin and the sims 3. I was like 4 at the time she used to play it and I loved seeing her build her houses and play with her sims hehe
Sims 4 character artstyle with Sims 3 open world + furniture customization with Sims 2 neighborhood customization with Sims 1 soundtracks A person can dream...
Oh man the first reason hit hard! The retail system was one of my favourite things about sims 2 and I miss it so much! And I miss the sims 2 apartments so... I loved building and playing in those. I always thought the open-world-ness of sims 3 would have been perfect for sims 2-ish apartments, so I am sad EA never reached that full potential. You sure made me nostalgic for sims 2 :p Sims 2 felt like a step up from sims 1. Sims 3 felt like a different but fun direction from sims 2, and sims 4 feels like stepping on a pine cone.
Another fun thing: the complete Sims 4 is £800 on Steam. I bought my complete Sims 2, new (close to day of release) for about £300, adjusted for inflation. It was more like £200 or so in 2000-ish money. So you get a better game for just over a third of the price. And you can make Sims 2 less clunky with good defaults and CC.
Sims 2 gameplay was the best. I remembered opening a car dealer selling cars. And always look forward to go on a holiday just to stay at the hotel. I also think that sims 5 won’t have the same gem as sims 2 as people are so sensitive over the smallest issue these days.
I stopped playing Sims 4 years ago, and went back to my first game, Sims 2. I was given Ultimate Collection by EA (tho I still have the old Discs in a box) and with all modern mods and CC to spruce it a bit while the base is so solid, it works so well
My only experience with the Sims 2 was with the console edition for pets. I remember watching UA-cam videos for Sims 2 on PC and being envious at all the things you could do, haha.
I used to play sims 2 on the ps2 when I was younger. But my older cousin actually had it on his computer and it shocked me as a kid how mods worked in the sims. Honestly the level of depth in the sims 2 was something I didn't actually notice when I was younger. Thanks for pointing out so much of these!
My first game in the franchise was Sims 3, I grew up on this game, I just loved it, and until they bought it for me, I watched my cousin play and it was incredibly exciting. At some point I stopped playing sims due to the fact that I had Sims 3 only on the disk, and the disk drive broke. A few years later, I was already thinking about downloading Sims 4, but after playing it on my friend's laptop, I was disappointed. Then I thought about going back to Sims 3 again, but it lagged a lot, and despite the recent memories, I wasn't sure that I would play for a long time. And then I downloaded Sims 2, and got involved from the first days of the game. I built cities, built houses, created characters, and now I still can't wait to go to Sims 2 every time I come back from lessons. Even despite a bunch of positive memories of Sims 3, at a more conscious age I preferred Sims 2 and it's just fucking awesome. And Sims 4 is still not even close to any of its predecessors.
fun fact not long ago you were still able to contact EA support and ask for the sims 2 complete collection and they would add it to your account (if you find a employee who loves sims like i did) and thats how i got it
I picked up a box set of The Sims 2 with like 5 or 6 expansions real cheap at a pawn shop many years ago, and I played it very often. I also played a lot of Sims 3 when it came out and enjoyed both games a lot. Sim 4 on the other hand feels awkward to play, it's nowhere near as fun as Sims 2 or Sims 3. It's nice you point out all the great things about Sims 2 that make it so much better then Sim 4. I hope Sims 5 goes back to basics and builds upon what made Sims 2 and 3 so great and not just "make life easier" with too many stripped down gameplay cycles and meaningless content no one wanted.
You hit it right on the nail in every aspect of the sims franchise…I honestly think the sims 4 creators just don’t know how to make the sims 2 happen in the sims 4 as the creators of the sims 2 aren’t even involved anymore and that is a TRUE SHAME and EA is a money grabbing company who don’t care as much about quality of their games so that is why the sims 4 is going down hill, they keep releasing this and that cause people keep buying their garbage
Honestly if we were to have a sims game with builds and graphic like in sims 4 and sims 2 and 3 system, it would've been a hecking amazing game. Main issue with sims 4 is that you get overwhelmed by expansions and get quickly bored by them, as a child i had sims 2 pets and i would've play it for hours and i always managed to create scenarios and such.
I love Sims 3 and it is my favourite from the franchise but Sims 2 is the best. The little details, the introduction of the amazing storyline and the overall experience is the best.
The memories in Sims 2 was just peak, *chef's kiss* all that jazz! The fact that they included some lore and memories that made sense was great. I hate how in Sims 3 update included memories but it so dumb my Sims gets a memory for every fish they catch and every time they visit a lot. Why does EA think we care about this?
The Sims 2 was amazing I remember it took me years ago to get into the Sims 3 because of that. However I can’t go back to playing the Sims 2 seriously because I now miss the freedom I have when playing Sims 3. It fits my game style, I just wish it had more of the realism of interactions and little animations in the Sims 2
@@Rekowcski yes. I really miss the retail system. None of the other games can match Sims 2 Open for Business. I also love that it lets you open a home business and you have to convince customers to buy from you. I love active careers and home businesses I think I might play Sims 2 today!
@@cloudsurfer73 Sims 2 Open For Business may be my favourite Sims expansion of all time... and Ambitions is definitely my favourite sims 3 pack. I am always a capitalist simmer and I never cheat, so I love new ways to make money that arent painting or gardening lol
@@Rekowcski Sims 4 has too many ways to make money though. You can make money just by having dates and parties, for example. Spellcasters can just copypasto something of high value (such as the relics from Jungle Adventure, which can make your sims rich all by themselves). You could just let your house get filthy and let dust bunnies give you some money. Dumpster diving also works. In fact, almost anything provides lots of money in Sims 4 if you're playing for that. Even if you're dead broke you can snap some photos and make money in an instant. I love doing rags to riches type challenges, but there's barely any challenge to it in Sims 4 unless you impose very heavy restrictions on what you can do.
I agree with you. Sims 2 is still my favorite because of the details and overall cohesion. I have fond memories of my kids running outside to greet their parents when they arrive for work or happily showing their report card when they get an A+ at school. I also remembered how fascinated I was when my first teenager was bothered by something in the mirror, which I later discovered to be acne. So amazing! And the burglar scenes - there were even random phonecall warnings. The jealousy/love reactions were fun too. It was funny when a jealous sim would knock off the trash can. There are so many things to love about Sims 2. And yes, I loved the cut scenes so much! Sims 3 was amazing for the open world. I wish they can combine Sims 2 and Sims 3, with the flexibility of Sims 4's build/buy.
While Sims 2 was the only mainline game that had dynamic cutscenes, the Sims 3 for DS had dynamic cutscenes, too. DS version of Sims 3 was also the one that introduced the drag-to-sculpt character creation later used in Sims 4.
there are only a handful of sims 4 features i like. i mean i like the idea, not always how they're handled most notably "fear conquered" buff that a sim gains by confronting their own fear (it's just a temporary buff tho) would be really nice if they work from that and make like a hidden counter for it or something, once they have confronted and conquered that fear for a certain number of times, they could completely overcome that fear
sims2 has a uniqueness and an interesting game presentation to be played for a long time, game presentation, game process, storyline and events that are focused on being able to share with other sims, important events that give a pleasant atmosphere, this is the power of content and sims2 gameplay that we will not find in sims1,3,and 4 even though sims4 gives an improvement to another level but there is something that cannot be achieved and cannot provide an atmosphere of feeling like in sims2. The content and experience and message of this sims2 achieves what the player achieves and it is not limited. sims2 gives freedom to players to decide and how the taste of this game is desired by us.
I sadly never got to play the sims 2 on pc. I have the console ports, but by the time I could get a computer that would work with the sims series, it was already on to the sims 3. I want them to bring the open world of the sims 3 back combined with what so many people love about the sims 2.
100% agreed! 😍😊 I was just wondering why I am being weird for liking-loving Sims 2 better than the Sims 4😅😁 nope, its just the game is so much more detailed and fun to play😁😅
Awesome video. I'm a huge nerd gamer who plays tons of games since always, but The Sims 2 is the one game that takes me back to my childhood. Every now and then I feel the urge to go back to it.
Rekowski, I don’t blame EA for not including Sims 2 style apartments in the Sims 3. If they could be made to work perfectly, or almost perfectly, they would be great and save us world creators a ton of space, but with the Sims 3’s open worlds, it’s hard to imagine how they wouldn’t cause massive lag and even game crashes, if you had basically multiple homes and multiple families on the same lot
I understand why it's not in the Sims 3, but the Sims 4 doesn't load any other lots in a neighbourhood at a time, so why not?? Especially since building is so big in that game :(
@@Rekowcski, I’m thinking that’s because all Sims 4 worlds are connected, they want to limit the number of Sims per world. It might be one of the reasons why we don’t have an official world editor for the Sims 4 and why EA never allowed free travel between worlds in the Sims 3. They’re worried about the size of saved game files getting too big.
My issue is why they still haven't added apartments as a lot type to the Sims 4? Rentals are not apartments nor do they function the same as apartments. They gave us City Living that came with apartments but didn't add apartments as a lot type, which makes ZERO SENSE. It would be nice to have functional apartments outside of San Myshuno and Evergreen Harbor. I would like to create trailer parks, townhouses, rowhouses, duplexes or high rises in other worlds and have them function as apartments.
first reason why Sims 4 in the worse in the franchise: I'm not able to play it in Windows 11, even if the game is legit or not. I will never stand for the Sims 4. edit: my brother couldn't play in his Mac either. we're both origin clients. edit2: we're both Sims 3 stans but Sims 2 is an absolutely classic we can't even deny.
I don't know how many hours I spent putting songs and other things in 2 when I was a kid. I loved having my sims listen to Weird Al, Bowling for Soup, and Metallica. I will also never forget having 90s and early 2000s cheesy pop songs play while building and laughing from seeing my sims watching The Sopranos and DBZ
You forgot to add - Better visuals and texture work, more fluid, varied and complex animations and much higher attention to detail. Other than that good video, thanks.🙂
Awsome video but there're some details I would correct: 1: Until this day the sims 2 is the only game that can memorise your sims genetics's every detail. Your sims had brown hair but it was dryed to black? The game REMEMBERS. Your sims had ugly face but you got ride of it with carieer rewards? The game REMEMBERS. and the kids will look like quasimodo... 2. Yeah, we can make apartment but just with code. I wonder the creators of the sims 2 wanted to players can create apartment - but then why not made an option for this? - or they didn"t but players somehow manage to find the code for this? I don't know, maybe there's a code for it in the sims 3 as well, but nobody found it yet... 3. The sims 2 is an only game where the car come across the driveway to the garage not just teleport to the street.
Sims 2&3 are just so good that i couldn't care less about the graphics or character customization. It comes second. The story and liveliness of the game is what matters!
SIms 2 was the BEST of all. After that it's Sims 4 for me, i never liked Sims 3. I hated all the bugs, i hated the piggy faces (the sims looked horrible?!) etc... Sims 2 had so much details... so much love in animations, so much everything. It was wonderful.
0:15 i want the random cook baby thing back. It was such a dumb feature but classic to the wacky sims universe 6:32 a lot of these things are fixed in the sims 4 in mods but it still tells how empty the sims 4 was
What I don't see mentioned enough frankly is the Sims 2's engine is bulletproof. You have to try to corrupt your save files or find unintended behavior. The features in the game largely work completely as intended.
I did not know about the cinematic when I first played 2 as they don't pop up if you play on a potato. Sims 2 was full of small details like using cabinets when cooking and actually enter cars. I am a 90s "kid" so I miss things like landlines and cash registers. I would love a Sims 2 remake, as the game is a little clunky, I have had a hard time returning to Sims 2 & 3 after 4, some of the quality of life changes get hard to play without :(
Small correction on the apartment bit: you CAN'T build your own Apartments in Sims 2... OFFICIALLY. There are no features in Sims 2 GUI that allow you to build an apartment. To make an apartment you have to plop down a residential lot, build and decorate a structure and then use the changelotzoning command in the developers console (" cheat menu") to make it an apartment. The console is not something we the players are supposed to see (unless we cheat) and therefor I don't consider it an official feature.
♥ You nailed it! I also miss the ability to write your sims' storylines in great detail - and it saved. If you returned to an old save, it was all right there (if you created it) to spark your memory and put you right back in it. And the aliens are totally lost on me in Sims 4. In Sims 2 they had those personalities.
@@Rekowcski with how long the bug thread has gotten in recent times I can list more things that don't work than things that function as intended 😅. This could also be a difficulty. Don't know how the game changers on UA-cam are so calm about it. Nowadays even the world's completely glich out from time to time and same goes for the emotions. I had to get mc command center just so my Sims wouldn't be in a bad mood around their own family members and friends. And the emotions are at the core of the game, so seeing them not functioning makes playing the game very difficult and annoying 😒
I just miss having my families interact. Like if I update a Sim, I want to be able to see those changes when I’m playing a different family. I also miss creating neighborhoods in TS2 and having so many unlimited houses. The gallery is very useful in Ts4 but it sucks only having to fit houses in certain dimensions. I also really miss the dramatic scenes like the first woohoo, labor, weddings and even death
I'm going to get the sims 3 base game soon. It's nostalgia for me since it was made a couple years after I was born on my birthday and I loved the music. I do love how the sims interact in the sims 2 but I really want to try out the sims 3 again. The sims 2 is a lovely game if I didn't have nostalgic memories of playing the sims 3. 😊
Sims 3 base game has the most things to do out of any base game I think! Sunset Valley and Riverview also have several sims that you will recognize from Sims 1, 2 and 4!
I love the older games, but when I was playing 3 and 2 I realized how annoying building and creating sims was compared to 4. Also, the mods for 4 are some of the best. The storylines for 2 are awesome and I wish we had more of that, but ultimately 4 is the one I play.
Sims 2 was a dream for me because it was the first sims I ever played. At a young age and growing up without a dad, I saw this as an opportunity to live a life I wished I had. It felt majestic to play Sims before than today.
Sims 2 is my favorite❣👏 You did forget to mention that with FreeTime, you can also have a secondary aspirations, along with aspiration/work/needs perks that can further flesh out personalities. Also, with FreeTime's hobby system, there are secret lots that can be visited, whereby sims can meet other sims with their hobby interests (and you can get invites to multiple hobby lots). Beginning with OFB, sims could earn badges (most expansuons thereafter offer bew ones), which play an even bigger role in FreeTime. Oh, while the occults might not be a favorite for the series (depending on one's subjective opinions), you can have hybrid occults. The combinations make for some interesting and challenging gameplay (try playing with a vampire/plantsim hybrid). One would think that Sims 3 or Sims 4 would have the best gameplay mechanics and graphic design choices, but I disagree. You touched on the one aspect, Sims 2 has the best genetic system, but it also has the most detailed gameplay actions (i.e. sims actually enter/exit cars, pull out of driveway/garage, etc.), game mechanics (sims will go into cabinets and drawers to pull out cooking utensils, are able to step over small objects on the floor, they also play a full game of chess, moving the pieces accordingly, etc.), game physics (hair and fur on pets move, couch cushions actually move accordingly, while sims sit, lounge, jump, etc., pool physics, hot tub water physics, snow physics, etc.), and my favorite detail is the 4th wall breaking, making it seem like the sims are sentient beings, aware that we are trying to manipulate their actions❣While Sims 3 sims can be made to look the most realistic, and Sims 4 have a higher graphic quality (albeit, a bit cartoonish), without the aforementioned aspects (as well as so many more I haven't mentioned), they cannot compare to the Sims 2 expressions and graphics. Since Sims 2 is nearly a twenty year old game, just a few added mods and CC default replacements, the Sims in Sims 2 are the most aesthetically pleasing (because of the gameplay, game mechanics/logical physics), imo. So glad that there is still a very active Sims 2 community, because these pixelated characters are so worthy of investing time in❣

I'm primarily a Sims 4 player but I would be playing the older games in a heartbeat if it actually worked for me. I grew up on the Sims 3 (and glad I did since the Sims 4 was out when I got into the Sims in 2016 but the BG was abysmal) but I can't play it now since the lag fixes don't do much for me and crashing is frequent, much more than I remember too. I would love to try the Sims 2, your channel has really sold the game to me, but I'm worried about corruption mainly but also it even working. I don't think you can even access it in online stores anymore too. The only good selling point for the Sims 4 is really that the modding community and CC community are incredibly active but you could make the same case for the other games too
I’d recommend checking out Pleasant Sims video on what NOT to do in Sims 2! She explains a lot about corruption and the causes and ways to avoid it so that might help lessen that fear for you!
The Sims 2 runs without issues on Window 10. I have heard (though not confirmed as I have not updated) that it will not run on Windows 11, but I’m not sure if that just means you’d need to run it in compatibility mode or if it is borked borked.
@@kalirivera4637 I second this, I've watched her video on corruption and it makes every misconception clear, also it proves my point that people overreact to sims 2 corruption, it's not as big of a deal as people make it out to be.
9:58 Now wait a minute! You can build your own apartment in S3. And not just with the shells in buy debug. In fact Floodgate Apartments in Bridgeport is done like that. Now, you can't build a penthouse without a stock building, yeah. But I've built quite a few apartments 4 or 5 stories tall. You can make the unit whatever size you like, from a fleabag studio to a multi-level condo. In fact, since in Bridgeport there's barely anyplace to build new stuff where apartments would make sense, I've done a few on 10-15 and 15x20 lots I could just squeeze in someplace. Anyway it's exactly the same process as building any structure in S3, as well as building in a buy debug shell (except without it). Maybe you should do a build as a tutorial?
I should really look into it. I’ve tried my own with the debug shells and stuff but it was always a mess. I just have memories of being a teenager and being able to make a sims 2 apartment in like 15 minutes and I think the simplicity is where the sims 2 is best for this.
@@Rekowcski @Rekowcski It is more complicated because you need buydebug on and restrictbuildbuyinbuildings off, but once you've got that it's simple. When you add the wall mailbox the one outside disappears. Three markers are needed, public room (any sim can go there) hidden room (any area inaccessible to player) and skip level (level up-down skips that level) and rbbb off lets you build outside a unit. Don't even finish the insides of hidden rooms and skipped levels, I just window them and done. @Rekowcski It is more complicated because you need buydebug on and restrictbuildbuyinbuildings off, but once you've got that it's simple. Hopefully 5 will be a blend of sims 2, sims 3 and something new. Without mods (major gameplay overhauls I might add) ts4 is not fun and playable. I hate the emotions.
@@Rekowcski I agree. I feel like it'll be worse. The Sims Summit thing they had really hammered home that I'm no longer the game's target demographic and I feel like the disconnect will be even more apparent in the next game and it'll be much more catered towards zoomers (no offense to zoomers but I'm almost 35 and probably just out of touch). I feel like the earlier games did a better job of appealing to people of all ages, and both men and women, whereas Sims 4 seems to cater mostly toward young adult women and teens.
weirdly, people are looking forward to it even if TS4 is flopping, I mean, if the predecessor isn't good, why I would be looking forward to the sucessor? I was atacked by some simmers too because I'm more hopeful for Paralives, simmers can be so toxic
Honestly, I think The Sims 4 is the best Sims game when it comes to mechanics and overal quality of life features. In Sims 4 the build/buy mode is better, CAS is better, live drag, short/normal/long lifespans, and The Sims 4 is a lot better when it comes to legacy challenges. The Sims 2 is however my favorite Sims game because of the attention to detail and the pacing of each day. The One thing I really hate about Sims 2 and 3 is the is the lifespan: Sims 2 has well-paced days but you age up way to fast and Sims 3 has better lifespan lengths but the days go by way to fast, in Sims 4 the lifespans are better lengths especcially because you can choose from short, normal, or long lifespans but each day feels a lot slower than The Sims 2.
I have a MacBook Air and saw I could buy the Sims 2 complete collection on the App Store which is super tempting. The one thing that bugs me about 2 is how every family ages independently. I don’t want to have to play multitudes of different households just to age up the population and create new generations. Yes, I know I could get 3, but that collection still has to be purchased individually with each pack and still runs super slow with how massive the game is.
am I the only one that doesnt mind the sims 2 graphics. I like how the actual sims in sims 2 look better, but every other graphic i like sims 3 , but its not horribly outdated like the sims 1 so I still find it very playable.
The Sims 2 is iconic. It’s fun, random and the ability to create stories is legend. You never know what might happen! And I love that. I do love Sims 3 as well, cos of the build features. I guess the Sims 4 is the easiest in terms of building, but you still have to know the cheats etc. So much happens in a Sims 2 game that I can play for hours and not see the time pass…
The Sims 4's online gallery is probably my favourite feature about the Sims 4 and building is so much easier than the Sims 2. Though my fondest "Sim" memories are playing the Sims 2. The memory system in the Sims 2 was also epic.
@@Rekowcski Haha true sometimes I think this is a deliberate tactic on their part to get us to build/redecorate to make the existing lots better. For example, I mean the crane sea container lot build in Eco Lifestyle is pretty epic so they can do it ;)
it's crazy how a game that came out almost 20 years ago outdoes nearly every aspect of the sims 4, i wouldn't even be surprised if it was still better than the sims 5 when it comes out considering the direction EA is going
@@Rekowcski oh absolutely, cant wait for the basegame sims 5 to only have the ability to CAS and move to a house, take care of their needs, and that's it. Gotta get the job EP for 40$ so they can work, the travel EP so sims can visit community lots, etc. LOL
I stopped playing The Sims series a long time ago, yet TS2 is my most favourite, though TS3 has more content, TS2 is made with so much love and passion, it comes through. A lot of secrets of this game are unrevealed by me, despite playing it for 6 years at least

Seems we don't have an EA internal advocate with enough power or influence to make that happen.
I really liked the unsynced relationship system as well. Really realistic
I have had a crush on many boys who didn’t have a crush on me in 2004... and also in The sims hahah
When I first player ts3 that was the thing that made fell like a downgrade.
YES!!! The Sims 3 is my personal favorite game in the franchise but when I started playing it I definitely felt that the relationship system was a huge downgrade. I looove the one-sided feelings in The Sims 2 and I desperately wish they would bring that back. It's so much better for storytelling!
it still amazes me how detailed and ahead of it’s time the sims 2 was and makes me wonder: if all this was possible to code and program back in 2009 or whatever why couldn’t ea just make it like this again for the sims 4 in 2022😭
Sims 2 is from 2004... honestly they should just make a remaster, charge $200 and they’ll be rich, and we will be poor and happy

There are way too many cute details in the Sims 2 to even count... I love the A+ report card interaction and the sink bathing!

Idk but when everyone is in the meta verse I will probably be in sims 2
Sims 2 has the heart that Sims 4 desperately needed.
Oh! And of course. *turns on radio* *Salsa is blasting through the house* This! :D
Let’s not forget that Sims 2 is a game that was left in 2008, fifteen years ago, and Sims 4 is a game of today that’s still actively being developed; and it’s times worse than the former 💀
my sims food got stolen by an old grandma in the sims 2.... 💔

So broken
Ong i literally downloaded a mod to completely block out fears in ts4 because of how bad it is
Like i had a sim get a dead end job fear... she was working her dream job and got frequent promotions 😐

I think you can make the kids grow up with a makin magic spell
I played so much sims 2 lately and I keep noticing so many small details!
You have been blessed to get stuck with Sims 2. TS4 is a waste of money unless you just love building and not playing the game.
The Sims 2 is very hard to forget. That's a big step up after the sims 1. The most fun Body Shop mod is the sims 2, but the most fun game is The Sims 3.
Ughhh I hated TS3. I honestly think TS4 is better.
Sims 1 over 3
Sims 2 is best on all fronts
I loved Sims 3 World Adventures. Thought the entire exploring stuff was fantastic and had me hooked
Atleast in Late Night you could opt out from the celebrity system or disable celebrity feature altogether.)
And before anyone comes at me with "but CC!", if you need to download fanmade content to make the game paletable or fun, the game isn't doing its job.
I like every other Sims game (1,2,3) more than 4. The game is just to bland and childish for my taste. Nothing is believable in any way in 4. 😅

As many people said, the perfect sims game would be a game with:
• sims 2 gameplay depth
• sims 3 customization and maps
• sims 4 Build & buy, CaS and emotion system
I tend to agree, but Sims 4 emotion system is pretty meh because it's SO easy to manipulate. At least, it's easy to manipulate away any negative emotions, which reduces them to basically just a sideshow that you mostly have to force into the foreground if you want them to have any effect.

I would take photos of all my sims' important steps in life and spend hours writing the family album creating my own story with pictures, I loved it! I felt sad when that didnt make it on the Sims 3.
That’s a really good point, I will add it to my list for a part 2
I'd forgotten all about that, it was great!
18 years plus of playing the sims 2 and still amazed of how awesome it was
Everything is better than sims 4
Agreed. x
mah
Yeah
Not really
I gave up on Sims 4 over 2 years ago. I kept buying Expansion and Game packs. I went back to Sims 3 and really having a great time.
I remembered that in the Sims 2 Nightlife that you can create your own downtown neighborhood which means you could add your own community lots.
The SIms 2 is my favourite as well, and yes I agree it has aged the best out of any of the games.
i just recently downloaded the sims 2, and it’s my favorite so far. i love how much detail there is and it makes the gameplay a lot more immersive. i grew up on the sims 3 and love it a lot, but the sims 2 is just so much better.
Sims 2 is just amazing. Even to this day, it still remains as my favorite in the series. The game is full on small details, and the memory system is still the best compared to the other games IMO. Even the graphics aren't a problem if you install default replacements.
Even though I am “sims 3 channel” usually, my favourite game is the sims 2. I can play it for days and days
TS2 is the real best sims game tbh. It still runs beautifully on computers, it had the most love and care put into it, you don’t need to buy a supercomputer to run it on high settings (though you do need Graphics Rules Maker)
It has its issues, it’s definitely the most easily broken of the games, but the ability to *easily* create new neighborhoods using SC4 and build whatever you want is something that neither of its successors have managed to recreate.
Sims 2 has a story progression mod. And it's really great.
3 feels empty lack of personality and chaos happening
You're missing out. 2 is the best
Actrully he does not
Sims 4 character artstyle with Sims 3 open world + furniture customization with Sims 2 neighborhood customization with Sims 1 soundtracks
A person can dream...
they should made this into the sims 5 and it'll be the best sims ever
Oh man the first reason hit hard! The retail system was one of my favourite things about sims 2 and I miss it so much! And I miss the sims 2 apartments so... I loved building and playing in those. I always thought the open-world-ness of sims 3 would have been perfect for sims 2-ish apartments, so I am sad EA never reached that full potential. You sure made me nostalgic for sims 2 :p Sims 2 felt like a step up from sims 1. Sims 3 felt like a different but fun direction from sims 2, and sims 4 feels like stepping on a pine cone.
For me, building apartments is something I will never forgive EA for taking from us
Another fun thing: the complete Sims 4 is £800 on Steam. I bought my complete Sims 2, new (close to day of release) for about £300, adjusted for inflation. It was more like £200 or so in 2000-ish money. So you get a better game for just over a third of the price.
And you can make Sims 2 less clunky with good defaults and CC.
I didn't think the Sims 2 was that complex. This is awesome.
I still like the sims 2 more than the others.
I mostly love how time works in it.
I love the sims 2 so much it’s my favorite game
Sims 2 gameplay was the best. I remembered opening a car dealer selling cars. And always look forward to go on a holiday just to stay at the hotel. I also think that sims 5 won’t have the same gem as sims 2 as people are so sensitive over the smallest issue these days.
I miss the realism and especially the negativity/drama/terror that comes with the older games.
@@Rekowcski exactly, it screams Desperate housewives 😆
I stopped playing Sims 4 years ago, and went back to my first game, Sims 2. I was given Ultimate Collection by EA (tho I still have the old Discs in a box) and with all modern mods and CC to spruce it a bit while the base is so solid, it works so well
I make sims 3 videos but for fun I play sims 2. My pleasant view has sooooo many babies right now
My only experience with the Sims 2 was with the console edition for pets. I remember watching UA-cam videos for Sims 2 on PC and being envious at all the things you could do, haha.
I loved sims 2 pets on my ps2. It was different but still so much fun.
Sims 2 is my favourite game even though I make sims 3 videos... hahah
fun fact not long ago you were still able to contact EA support and ask for the sims 2 complete collection and they would add it to your account (if you find a employee who loves sims like i did) and thats how i got it
I picked up a box set of The Sims 2 with like 5 or 6 expansions real cheap at a pawn shop many years ago, and I played it very often.
I make more videos on the Sims 3, but I definitely play Sims 2 the most in my free time.
Sims 2 memories is more detailed than we will ever see again
The Sims 2 was amazing I remember it took me years ago to get into the Sims 3 because of that.
However I can’t go back to playing the Sims 2 seriously because I now miss the freedom I have when playing Sims 3. It fits my game style, I just wish it had more of the realism of interactions and little animations in the Sims 2
I think sims 2 and 3 have different strengths, it really just comes down to preference
And oh one of my favorite memories were the family reunion and anniversary. It was a delightful surprise when I first encountered them.
Now i wanna boot up again to make a shop 😫 good list Rek!
While Sims 2 was the only mainline game that had dynamic cutscenes, the Sims 3 for DS had dynamic cutscenes, too. DS version of Sims 3 was also the one that introduced the drag-to-sculpt character creation later used in Sims 4.
there are only a handful of sims 4 features i like. i mean i like the idea, not always how they're handled
most notably "fear conquered" buff that a sim gains by confronting their own fear (it's just a temporary buff tho) would be really nice if they work from that and make like a hidden counter for it or something, once they have confronted and conquered that fear for a certain number of times, they could completely overcome that fear
sims2 has a uniqueness and an interesting game presentation to be played for a long time, game presentation, game process, storyline and events that are focused on being able to share with other sims, important events that give a pleasant atmosphere, this is the power of content and sims2 gameplay that we will not find in sims1,3,and 4 even though sims4 gives an improvement to another level but there is something that cannot be achieved and cannot provide an atmosphere of feeling like in sims2.
You're not weird! The people who have been playing sims 4 for 8 years... they're the weird ones haha
Awesome video. I'm a huge nerd gamer who plays tons of games since always, but The Sims 2 is the one game that takes me back to my childhood. Every now and then I feel the urge to go back to it.
I’m glad you enjoyed it, have a good weekend x
Sims 3. But i love and enjoy various aspects of Sims 2 and 4.
I bounce between 2 and 3 being my favourite
honestly i’d love a game with the personality of 2, the open world of 3, and the build buy and cas of 4. (create a style would be nice too)
Rekowski,
I don’t blame EA for not including Sims 2 style apartments in the Sims 3.
Especially since building is so big in that game :(
@@Rekowcski,
I’m thinking that’s because all Sims 4 worlds are connected, they want to limit the number of Sims per world.
People are having trouble with Sims 3 too with the new EA crap, I mean app.
Sims 2 will always have a special place in my heart!
I'm hearing a lot of complaints about windows 11, I'm reluctant to change It tbh
@@joaolima7131 i havent made the jump to 11 yet... if the sims 3 doesnt work im out of business lol
I miss sims 2, wish it comes back to origin/ea play :( was my favorite game
Just pirate it, we won't tell anyone :)
EA is becoming so cheap, I expected they would release TS3 ultimate collection, TS4 base game is so boring.
pirate it. It's easy and it's considered abandonware. Nobody is gonna come after you for download abandonware.
It was such a dumb feature but classic to the wacky sims universe
6:32 a lot of these things are fixed in the sims 4 in mods but it still tells how empty the sims 4 was
I'm still playing sims2 up to this day. :)
I would love a Sims 2 remake, as the game is a little clunky, I have had a hard time returning to Sims 2 & 3 after 4, some of the quality of life changes get hard to play without :(
I remember when Sims 2 launched it was the pinnacle of gaming in my eyes
Rekowski,
Now I would love to see a video from you on things the Sims 4 actually did right.
I've been thinking about doing that, but I don't have Sims 4 installed right now, and EA needs to sort out their new app first :X
Sims 2 would have been great with the living neighbourhood thing. I know there's a mod for that now.
@@Rekowcski I can't wait to check it out again. I love the sims in the towns in most games. Will be my first time playing it since 2016. :)
I love the older games, but when I was playing 3 and 2 I realized how annoying building and creating sims was compared to 4. Also, the mods for 4 are some of the best. The storylines for 2 are awesome and I wish we had more of that, but ultimately 4 is the one I play.
Sims 3 was my fav and still is. I constantly get bored with sims 4 even with all the extensions pack 😭
Sims 2 was a dream for me because it was the first sims I ever played. At a young age and growing up without a dad, I saw this as an opportunity to live a life I wished I had. It felt majestic to play Sims before than today.
I am stuck with The Sims 2 forever but I have never owned or played TS3 and TS4. TS2 is still the best.
Sims 2 is my favorite❣👏
You did forget to mention that with FreeTime, you can also have a secondary aspirations, along with aspiration/work/needs perks that can further flesh out personalities.

The only good selling point for the Sims 4 is really that the modding community and CC community are incredibly active but you could make the same case for the other games too
Sims 2 you can find easily with google. I just downloaded it since I bought the games on disc back, and you’re right, you cannot buy it anywhere now.
Always thought Sims 2 was superior to both Sims 3 and 4.
True but the 3rd one is still superior to the 4th one and it has some upgrades to compare to the 2nd one the 4th is just lifeless

Hopefully 5 will be a blend of sims 2, sims 3 and something new. Without mods (major gameplay overhauls I might add) ts4 is not fun and playable. I hate the emotions.
I'm afraid they're going to ruin 5 :(
@@Rekowcski I agree.
@@Rekowcski I'm more interested in Paralives since we all know if EAxis can ruin something, they will 😩
weirdly, people are looking forward to it even if TS4 is flopping, I mean, if the predecessor isn't good, why I would be looking forward to the sucessor? I was atacked by some simmers too because I'm more hopeful for Paralives, simmers can be so toxic
7:55 - I saw what was done there … Diana and Camilla 😂
My videos sometimes have little fun things that I don’t mention hah
I miss Sims 2. I need to do so much crap to my PC to be able to play it now tho.
Lmao, Diana and Camilla. The shade of it all! 🏖️
You pay attention haha.. most of my videos have little Easter eggs if you are sharp!
that modern ui mod is so soulless
The Sims 2 is iconic. It’s fun, random and the ability to create stories is legend. You never know what might happen! And I love that. I do love Sims 3 as well, cos of the build features. I guess the Sims 4 is the easiest in terms of building, but you still have to know the cheats etc. So much happens in a Sims 2 game that I can play for hours and not see the time pass…
i accidentally stayed up all night playing the sims 2 this week :x
The Sims 4's online gallery is probably my favourite feature about the Sims 4 and building is so much easier than the Sims 2.
Though my fondest "Sim" memories are playing the Sims 2. The memory system in the Sims 2 was also epic.
I love the gallery it makes it so easy to replace anything EA made, even for a beginner.
They're going to ruin sims 5 just watch haha
My money is still on sims 1,2 and 3
@@Rekowcski oh absolutely, cant wait for the basegame sims 5 to only have the ability to CAS and move to a house, take care of their needs, and that's it. Gotta get the job EP for 40$ so they can work, the travel EP so sims can visit community lots, etc. LOL
"Community Lot Expansion Pack" ahahha
I believe in sims 2 supremacy
all hail the Sims 2, for we are not worthy
I used to play The Sims 2 for HOURS on end as a kid/ teenager. It'll always be my favourite.
I stopped playing The Sims series a long time ago, yet TS2 is my most favourite, though TS3 has more content, TS2 is made with so much love and passion, it comes through. A lot of secrets of this game are unrevealed by me, despite playing it for 6 years at least
