I’ve had the z6 a few weeks now, and it’s the best camera for lowlight/ high iso performance I’ve ever owned. Even managed to try the time lapse function too. A lot to learn on that one but it’s a keeper for sure.

@@LondonViewpoints which is absolutely true ... But i don't really use the time-lapse feature at all (while they added the feature with fw3.0)

Totally agreed . I love the feel of the Z6 and the ergonomics are spots on. The only negative is the quirk of the autofocus which sometimes will focus on the background.

Thanks for this video. Just purchased a Z6 & 24-70 S today, I'm super excited! My first jump into full frame format 🙂
I was a little hesitant to get the Z6 after hearing news of the upcoming Z6s (expected late-October announcement), but I can always upgrade next year once the Z6s price drops (no need to pay full price so close to its release date).

An underrated feature is when timelapse movie mode is interrupted, including when the battery dies, it still renders the timelapse movie file. No idea how, but it does!

    • @LondonViewpoints

That’s true, absolutely agree, somehow it must know the battery is about to die and stop the timelapse, renders the file and then shuts down😀brilliant

The solution of the white pixels is to use "sensor cleaning" feature. It doesn't make any sense but when is running, the sensor is remapped and white pixels will start get information from pixels near them in future use. I've notice some white pixels from time to time on my Z6. I think is kinda normal behaviour of the sensor. Mine is a little above 50k actuations.

    • @LondonViewpoints

I think I have a small issue with my camera and I think the only way to figure this out is to ask someone who owns one.
I recently received my new Nikon Z6 kit.
It is my first camera (only used my phone until now) and I’m kind of desperate to check it and make sure it does not have any flaws.
I’ve read about firmware updates that Nikon introduced and I noticed that mine came with 3.00
Until now everything seems to be perfect except one small issue with the evf which I don’t know if it’s a feature or a bug 😳
looking through evf and pointing the camera in bright light (sunny sky with white clouds) I can notice something on the evf that appears it is somehow greasy. It is more or less uniformly spread on the entire surface.
I have cleaned it intensively but nothing appears to change. Also the sensor looks cristal clear.
It does not seem to affect the pictures, it is only the evf.
If I look at the picture taken through it and them zoom and move in different directions is even more obvious.
Since it does not appear to mess with my pictures I’m not sure if there is something wrong with it or is the same on other cameras?
I really hope I was clear enough 😔. I find it hard to explain.
