To everyone complaining about the video not matching the established halo lore, this battle is not meant to show the Battle of Earth in october of 2552(the one from Halo 2). The video is made from animations from machinma I cancelled a while back, and is meant to show a covenant attack on earth during year 2546. The story is meant to be a alternate reality, starting with the spartans being killed during a surprise attack on the Pillar of Autumn and ending with humanity losing the war by blowing up both Earth along with the covenant fleet. I realize i never made this clear in the video itself, so I hope this brings a bit more clarity on what is shown.
I love the clip I understand you changed some aspects of the Halo law it simply dose not have some things in it like The Mark V "Super MAC" UNSC Orbital Defense Platforms or "ODPs" typically mount larger and more powerful versions of the standard Magnetic Accelerator Cannon, nicknamed "super" MACs or "the big stick." These cannons fire a 3000-ton ferric-tungsten round at 12,000 kilometers per second, or 4% of the speed of light.[3] Against Covenant shield technology, the rounds possess enough kinetic energy to punch through shields, cut through the ship, and, upon exit, still retain enough energy to destroy a second ship, and cripple a third ship. It is theorized that if a ship's armor or shields were to absorb all the kinetic energy of a super MAC round, the release of thermodynamic energy would still vaporize the ship. By receiving power from ground-based power plants, orbital platforms could achieve recharge and reload times as short as five seconds 300 of these ODP where fully operational at the time of the attack.
Could you imagine being on Earth, looking up into the sky and seeing countless explosions like that? Knowing that the outcome of that battle determine whether or not humanity as a species will continue to survive?
@@davidsmperio7344 there was a famous UNSC Admiral who blew up a covenant armada of over 500 warships. all of them were destroyed and yet the Covenent hierarchs just shrugged it off. they got a massive quantity of warships if they are able to shrug that loss off

I usually break them before they going to pillage. Not so hard using provocation and ambush. So my capital planet is safe. This alternative Earth should be also. Sci-fi western authors more "fi" than "sci". Invading fleet with hyperdrives would not be able to attack right after jump. And they would not be able to jump right to target. Who can open doors - can close it also. Earthers should be able to block close space from hyper-enter and flush outer space with suicide drones on the route of incoming enemy. Space invasion operation is nightmare for invader if defender have any comparable fleet.

Besides the fact that they had no mines or anything, Earth's defense fleet was pretty pathetic. A group of 75 ships couldn't even handle a group of 15 unprepared covies. And then 1 straight up slipped by like "Oh don't mind me, ima just lewd all over ur base." Like damn. Aren't the MAC guns suppose to 1 shot ships every few seconds? What the heck are they doing?
You sir have done an amazing job, as a director and writer my self I admire your detail behind every frame and the camera movements from 5:58-6:05 for example are superb truly well shot and you can tell you put a lot of heart into this I'd love to work with you some day on a halo project of mine on another channel not this one I'm commenting on
Small lore complaint here, the actual Prophet assassination plan was to capture a Covenant ship with the Pillar of Autumn and use it, not use the Pillar. If they approached High Charity in a human ship, they would have been blown out of the sky and the UNSC knew that.
Actually, the story was made to based on the the original halo lore, but divert from it in 2544 when this story would take place. In this story, the covenant would have learned of the assassination plan and ambush the Pillar of Autumn, which is what you see in the video. It would have been explained further in the original machinima if I had finished it.

Going by the size of the Covenant fleet in this battle, and the fact that there seems to be at least one supercarrier present, I take it that the Spartans were all killed off before the Unyielding Hierophant was destroyed.
more so master chief was. The lore to this alternate universe was that the pillar of autumn was ambushed and destroyed before it could land on Installation 04.
Actually, no. This what-if situation takes place in 2544. That means, Reach hasn't been destroyed yet, no CSOs yet, no Unyielding Hierophant... etc. This is basically what would happen if the UNSC had begun Operation: Red Flag earlier in the war, and if the Covenant also found Earth earlier.
@@e3nethan910 It wasn't. This was like the entire Covenant fleet that surrounded High Charity. The fleet that attacked Earth in the games was "smaller than the one that attack Reach", at first it was only 15 ships. Later into the battle, over 320 ships were deployed.
its hard for me to believe this video was made three years ago! i absolutely love it i have watched it over a dozen times its so awesome, the final battle to save humanity one which humanity knows they would lose so they had a nova bomb at the ready such a sad end for both the Covenant and humanity, truly amazing animated and "alternate lore" video, thanks for making it!
I love how lore accurate this actually is. If the autumn was destroyed over reach right after exiting slipspace, all of humanity's Spartan 2's and most of the Spartan 3's would have been killed because they were all on board for operation red flag, the assassination mission you mentioned. No one would have found halo, nor unyielding hierophant (covie Space Station from first strike). The fleet of particilar justice, high charity with her escort fleet (including over a thousand carriers and cruiser, as well as at least one supercarrier), truth's fleet around unyielding hierophant and truth's 2nd fleet would have all been on earth. Also the beginning of the war is portrayed pretty accurate, apart from the fact that you have the wrong shiptypes. (Paris class instead of Charon, halberd instead of hillsborough an sinaris pattern instead of rasus pattern)
For any one interested, there is a game for pc called Sins of a Solar Empire, which is a pretty great 4x space strategy game. Any way there's a mod for it called Sins of the Prophets, which is a halo mod. You can lead the unsc or the covenant, and play through the human-covenant war. It's really fun, there's even a flood survival mode, which is extremely challenging, since the flood can capture your ships and turn your fleet against you! I only mention this because, I feel like most people watching this would enjoy setting up their own halo space battles.

wow... just wow... the animation wasn't the best in the world but the effort and work put into this are amazing... and being a halo fan since the age of 4 years old, I've seen a lot of poorly made animations. Now I'm not saying this is poor but actually one of the best fan-made animations I've seen in a long time. This is an absolutely astonishing animation!
if the UNSC recalled every UNSC vessel back to earth for this battle it would have been bigger than any battle seen in syfi in space trumping star wars out right. and if defended right 300 orbital super macs would shred the covenant fleet tearing even the biggest covenant ships apart and if the covenant fleet would have sent every ship they had to it would be a long long long battle lasting months on the ground and in space as thousands of ships engaged each other and the UNSC might have even resorted to using the nova bomb a planet cracking weapon to inflict damage on the aproching fleets but at what cost there's a reason they never use it
The machinima I was planning to make with these animations was going to differ a bit from the established halo lore, with the battle for earth taking place in 2545. The attack on earth was going to be a surprice attack, which is why the UNSC fleet protecting earth is so small. I changed a few of these thing for this video to make things work better, but much of this would have been explained if I had finished the actual Machinima. But you are correct about the end, the device detonated was a nova bomb.

Nate Carter there was not 1,000 ships during that battle, according to the real lord the humans had only like 8 cruisers and 75 frigates, and the Covenant found earth by accident, one prophet knew the location but didn't tell the others so when, another prophet found they were completely surprised they only had 13 ships and still broke through the lines and the fleet protecting Earth was destroyed "with only a handful of frigates left" the battle of reach was more exciting
Devin Harris Actually there were two battles for earth. The one you speak of is the battle you see in halo 2 in which the prophet of regret led a small fleet after finding out that there was a portal to the ark on earth, yet he didnt know that was earth. In the battle, the humans destroyed every single covenant ship except for regret's ship which ends up escaping later in the game. Now the second battle of earth happens at the end of halo 2 where truth takes the rest of the covenant armada to earth. This is where the 300 super macs come into play since they destroy most of truths fleet and is left only with the fleet you see on halo 3 yet the humans end up with only a "handful of frigates left".
That was awesome and wow, what an ending. The whole video was like a Halo version of Battle of the Line of Babylon 5, just the feel of it. The overawe effect truly filled the epic promise of the title. Thank you for sharing this.
I could rip on this video but I also am impressed that you sat down, took the time to put it together, and shared it with the rest of the world for criticism. hater shit, and flak...and I couldn't do better myself so I will say thank you for sharing, good job, like the alternate story line, and you are going places if you stick to doing this . Don't let haters discourage you, I applaud your effort and creativity, but I am sad humanity lost. Thank you for that though, because it truly does point out how vulnerable humanity really is in the universe, and that in itself is reason to have humility as a species. This shows that as full of our own self importance as a species we are, we can be wiped from existence in a flash.
I wonder if the actual Covenant invasion forces were as large as portrayed here. Because I know that this is a what if battle, and from what I know, after Regret's fleet was defeated, dozens of large Covenant fleets arrived, and later a big ass fleet belonging to Truth himself arrived to finish the fight.
Without orbital defense platforms this battle is more of a massacre than actual fight in space battles the UNSC was greatly outmatched by the technology of the covenant and battles were only won one of two ways for them 1) greatly outnumbered the enemy fleet (this still resulted in higher losses for the UNSC and was quiet rare to even happen for the UNSC) 2) tactically superior plays by the UNSC commander and AI assistant and even with such was very hard to pull off still the animation and feel go really well for this video would love to see one with all ODP over earth just unleashing hell onto a unaware covenant fleet
Probably the best halo space battle seen to date. Accuracy of ship designs and roles, size and scale! Some of the weapons could have been more accurate but the detail and scale is amazing. Well done.

love the animations u did with this, the start of the main fight kind of gave me a Mass Effect 3 feel. my only real negative comment is that for the most part whenever UNSC ships were completely destroyed it was exactly the same as another ship being destroyed

Except the whole earth Mimbari war was stupid because Mimbari ships are impervious to earth ship weapons.... except when there is an important leader on board??? WTF?? - That's what you call the mother of all story screwups!
The Minbari ships weren't impervious to human weapons. They simply had advance stealth systems that prevented long distance target locks. For humans to get any of their shots to hit, they needed to get really close, which was near impossible as their ships were not only slower but the Minbari weapons were way more powerful and could hit from further range. For the moment with the important leader on board, the Earth ships were more than close enough to allow shots to hit not to mention that they fired first.
The movie shows various combat scenarios debunking all that and including an Earth ship colliding with a Mimbari ship but doing no damage to the Mimbari ship. So we know they can get close, and if they can get close they can fire nukes, but no, Mr Hero was the only one to think of using nukes - Funny how no one else thought of trying to use nukes during the entire war..... i mean its pretty obvious they would have the capacity to fire a large number of nukes the mimbari could not shoot them all down. The problem is they want to try and make it that only mr hero could destroy a mimbari ship, thats the mistake, and they have to stretch plausibility beyond its limit to do it.
Lol what, all those combat scenarios in that movie pretty much proved what I just stated in my other comment, lots of shots being fired and barely any if at all managed to hit, and that suicide run by the Earth Ship did destroy the Minbrai ship. In fact that ship was a prototype of the Omega Class we later see in the series, and the only reason it got close was because the Minbari let it get close as they were playing with the humans then and wanted to see what the humans would do. After that disaster, the Minbari never let human ships ever get that close again in subsequent battles. The only reason those nukes worked was because the crew of the Black Star was way too overconfident and didn't even bother to even think that it was possibly a trap and actually got close enough in the asteroid belt for the Nukes to work. Seriously we have ships capable of shooting energy bolts out of the sky in the series, shooting nukes in comparison would be even more easy as they would be travelling way more slower than energy bolts. Also, like I said before, Minbari have powerful stealth systems that prevents long distance target locks. Humans have to get really close for any form of good chance of actually hitting the Minbari ships. This means that any nukes fired, would have to be fired in really massive swarms to even have a chance of hitting Minbari ships and they would also be extremely close to the Minbari ships when the nukes do hit. Btw on a small side note here, its actually spelled Minbari, not Mimbari.

just a little more lore here , that half of the covanants fleet was destroyed by masterchief and blue team before jumping to slipspace , and the prophet thought earth was another Colonie according to books , but animation was really well done keep making more!
Much more than half of their fleet was destroyed- hundreds of ships were, as well as a covenant Outpost world and it's moon. That fleet was staging there in preparation for an attack on Earth, once it's location was discovered. But then, the prophet of regret got a lead on an important forerunner artifact. So he took 14 ships to go check it out. He expected a deserted world or maybe a small, relatively unguarded colony. Instead, he blundered directly into the proverbial Hornets nest- humanity's core world defended by the home fleet of hundreds of ships as well as 300 MAC platforms.
Eevee Fan :P The camera follows Anakin and Obi-Wan in their ships through a space battle. Just like in this one when the camera follows the Longswords during battle.
so no orbital defense platforms, no archer missiles (enough human ships there to send about 150,000 missiles at the Covvie fleet), no shiva nuclear missiles, no huge nuclear mine fields (which destroyed hundreds of Covenent ships attacking Reach and Earth)? Humanity deserved to lose since they obviously didn't bring their A game.
@@Laldagarth I know, it just seems that it would have made the battle far more interesting had the humans had more than 10% of their arsenal at their disposal here. I'm sure it would have been a nightmare for an animator to simulate all of that though.

Yes there are problems with the video, for example like every single UNSC MAC round missing (which wouldn't happen), but early UNSC ships at this time didn't have any shields.
@@electro3dm119 the only UNSC ship with shield was Infinity. During the whole war UNSC didnt developed ship shielding. And shipborne MAC,s can miss their Targets. They travel at 30.000 km per hours, so a far away covie ship can dodge it.
Nicely done. I'm always in the mood for some Halo lore. One tip: You will not see thick smoke in a non-oxygenated environment like the vacuum of space. And while I'm on it thick black smoke is always associated with petroleum oil fires. At any rate, nice work. 👌
I love this video! VERY well done! I only have one minor thing to say. The way you portray the MAC guns is a little underwhelming, and this isn't just you, it's a common problem I see. Please, when making further Halo content, keep this in mind: a MAC fires its projectile at a significant proportion of the speed of light. So, when firing, they would look much less like the nice, prepackaged blobs of pew (yes, very scientific, I know), and more like a near instant streak of light, or a small pulse that goes super fast from the UNSC ship to its target. Other than that, thank you for the content, and keep up the great work!
I think the idea is something along the lines of "it looks cooler when travelling slower". *Edit: but those rounds did cross the field of battle in no time so maybe they were going alot faster than they seem.
You are wrong. Ship borne MACS dont travel at the speed of light, you are misunderstooding for the super MAC,s ( Cairo Station ). Unsc ship Mac guns travel at 30.000 km/h, so a covenant ship can dodge it
@@panzerrjcb I didn't say at the speed of light, I said at a significant proportion of the speed of light. A standard frigate-based MAC fires slugs of either ferric Tungsten or depleted Uranium measuring approximately 9.1 meters long at around 30 kilometers per second, around 0.01% the speed of light. Orbital Defense Platforms fire a 3,000-ton slug at four-hundredths, or 4% of, the speed of light, around 12,000 kilometers per second. Keep in mind, these are (relatively) small chunks of metal flying through space with no engine or real thermal signature. By the time especially the super MACs are fired, it's over, there's no dodging that with a large, lumbering ship. And that's also why the ships don't engage until a closer range, because their projectiles are smaller and slower. You are massively underestimating how fast these projectiles are, and massively overestimating the maneuverability of these massively large ships.

But im a sucker for Halo Lore and i have the fleet books, so i know what im saying: Frigate Macs are difficult to dodge but not impossible, and they lack the firepower to effectively destroy big Covie ships, unless used en masse. Anyway, the only weapon capable of destroying all Covenant ships relatively easily are Super MACs or Nova bombs, because UNSC Space tech are inferior to Covenant tech. Before the advent of Infinity, a single Covenant Carrier could wipe out a whole UNSC fleet ( and im not mentioning a 20 miles long supercarrier ), because according to Lore the Covenant ship Plasma Lances are overpowered ( 100.000km efective range, capable of tearing a unsc ship apart ) . No wonder UNSC lost the space battle and Many colonies burned.

I'm saying in my original comment that it should be a nearly instantaneous flash of something going off and then a hit on the covie's shields. You're trying to argue power when I'm agreeing with you about the power. I'm saying that it's not exactly easy to dodge something going that fast, but it's not gonna hurt so why bother? And yes, covie plasma lances are far more powerful and devastating to UNSC ships due to their lack of shields. You're trying to argue a point that isn't even up for debate.
Oh and there wasn’t a full invasion fleet that came to Earth it was a small fleet with 9 capital ships and hundreds of cruisers and carriers and the high charity never came to Earth either

CapTonLoner actually in the lore, the countries of earth no longer exist. They were disbanded and united under the United Nations space command when the first slip space drives were invented.
If that’s what it says then sure. I got my info from Halo Legends and Contact Harvest. Either way, I’m sure after fist contact and the outbreak of war, all internal governments, means of production, and propaganda was taken over by the UNSC and ONI. I also doubt there were any shipyards at earth specifically, but I could be wrong on that.

I usually break them before they going to pillage. Not so hard using provocation and ambush. So my capital planet is safe. This alternative Earth should be also. Sci-fi western authors more "fi" than "sci". Invading fleet with hyperdrives would not be able to attack right after jump. And they would not be able to jump right to target. Who can open doors - can close it also. Earthers should be able to block close space from hyper-enter and flush outer space with suicide drones on the route of incoming enemy. Space invasion operation is nightmare for invader if defender have any comparable fleet.
which is why i do what a fallen empire says, unless either i know my allies can hold them back or there is enough distance between their territory and mine that i can ignore them
Besides the fact that they had no mines or anything, Earth's defense fleet was pretty pathetic. A group of 75 ships couldn't even handle a group of 15 unprepared covies. And then 1 straight up slipped by like "Oh don't mind me, ima just lewd all over ur base." Like damn. Aren't the MAC guns suppose to 1 shot ships every few seconds? What the heck are they doing?

Imo some are very cool (the frigates for example) and others are ugly in a good way (like the halcyon class light cruiser)

Small lore complaint here, the actual Prophet assassination plan was to capture a Covenant ship with the Pillar of Autumn and use it, not use the Pillar. If they approached High Charity in a human ship, they would have been blown out of the sky and the UNSC knew that.
Actually, the story was made to based on the the original halo lore, but divert from it in 2544 when this story would take place. In this story, the covenant would have learned of the assassination plan and ambush the Pillar of Autumn, which is what you see in the video. It would have been explained further in the original machinima if I had finished it.

Actually, no. This what-if situation takes place in 2544. That means, Reach hasn't been destroyed yet, no CSOs yet, no Unyielding Hierophant... etc. This is basically what would happen if the UNSC had begun Operation: Red Flag earlier in the war, and if the Covenant also found Earth earlier.

@@e3nethan910 It wasn't. This was like the entire Covenant fleet that surrounded High Charity. The fleet that attacked Earth in the games was "smaller than the one that attack Reach", at first it was only 15 ships. Later into the battle, over 320 ships were deployed.

I love how lore accurate this actually is. If the autumn was destroyed over reach right after exiting slipspace, all of humanity's Spartan 2's and most of the Spartan 3's would have been killed because they were all on board for operation red flag, the assassination mission you mentioned. No one would have found halo, nor unyielding hierophant (covie Space Station from first strike). The fleet of particilar justice, high charity with her escort fleet (including over a thousand carriers and cruiser, as well as at least one supercarrier), truth's fleet around unyielding hierophant and truth's 2nd fleet would have all been on earth.
Also the beginning of the war is portrayed pretty accurate, apart from the fact that you have the wrong shiptypes. (Paris class instead of Charon, halberd instead of hillsborough an sinaris pattern instead of rasus pattern)

For any one interested, there is a game for pc called Sins of a Solar Empire, which is a pretty great 4x space strategy game. Any way there's a mod for it called Sins of the Prophets, which is a halo mod. You can lead the unsc or the covenant, and play through the human-covenant war. It's really fun, there's even a flood survival mode, which is extremely challenging, since the flood can capture your ships and turn your fleet against you!
I only mention this because, I feel like most people watching this would enjoy setting up their own halo space battles.

wow... just wow... the animation wasn't the best in the world but the effort and work put into this are amazing... and being a halo fan since the age of 4 years old, I've seen a lot of poorly made animations. Now I'm not saying this is poor but actually one of the best fan-made animations I've seen in a long time. This is an absolutely astonishing animation!
if the UNSC recalled every UNSC vessel back to earth for this battle it would have been bigger than any battle seen in syfi in space trumping star wars out right. and if defended right 300 orbital super macs would shred the covenant fleet tearing even the biggest covenant ships apart and if the covenant fleet would have sent every ship they had to it would be a long long long battle lasting months on the ground and in space as thousands of ships engaged each other and the UNSC might have even resorted to using the nova bomb a planet cracking weapon to inflict damage on the aproching fleets but at what cost there's a reason they never use it
The machinima I was planning to make with these animations was going to differ a bit from the established halo lore, with the battle for earth taking place in 2545. The attack on earth was going to be a surprice attack, which is why the UNSC fleet protecting earth is so small. I changed a few of these thing for this video to make things work better, but much of this would have been explained if I had finished the actual Machinima. But you are correct about the end, the device detonated was a nova bomb.

Nate Carter there was not 1,000 ships during that battle, according to the real lord the humans had only like 8 cruisers and 75 frigates, and the Covenant found earth by accident, one prophet knew the location but didn't tell the others so when, another prophet found they were completely surprised they only had 13 ships and still broke through the lines and the fleet protecting Earth was destroyed "with only a handful of frigates left" the battle of reach was more exciting
Devin Harris Actually there were two battles for earth. The one you speak of is the battle you see in halo 2 in which the prophet of regret led a small fleet after finding out that there was a portal to the ark on earth, yet he didnt know that was earth. In the battle, the humans destroyed every single covenant ship except for regret's ship which ends up escaping later in the game. Now the second battle of earth happens at the end of halo 2 where truth takes the rest of the covenant armada to earth. This is where the 300 super macs come into play since they destroy most of truths fleet and is left only with the fleet you see on halo 3 yet the humans end up with only a "handful of frigates left".

I wonder if the actual Covenant invasion forces were as large as portrayed here. Because I know that this is a what if battle, and from what I know, after Regret's fleet was defeated, dozens of large Covenant fleets arrived, and later a big ass fleet belonging to Truth himself arrived to finish the fight.
Without orbital defense platforms this battle is more of a massacre than actual fight in space battles the UNSC was greatly outmatched by the technology of the covenant and battles were only won one of two ways for them 1) greatly outnumbered the enemy fleet (this still resulted in higher losses for the UNSC and was quiet rare to even happen for the UNSC) 2) tactically superior plays by the UNSC commander and AI assistant and even with such was very hard to pull off still the animation and feel go really well for this video would love to see one with all ODP over earth just unleashing hell onto a unaware covenant fleet

Probably the best halo space battle seen to date. Accuracy of ship designs and roles, size and scale! Some of the weapons could have been more accurate but the detail and scale is amazing. Well done.

Except the whole earth Mimbari war was stupid because Mimbari ships are impervious to earth ship weapons.... except when there is an important leader on board??? WTF?? - That's what you call the mother of all story screwups!
The Minbari ships weren't impervious to human weapons. They simply had advance stealth systems that prevented long distance target locks. For humans to get any of their shots to hit, they needed to get really close, which was near impossible as their ships were not only slower but the Minbari weapons were way more powerful and could hit from further range. For the moment with the important leader on board, the Earth ships were more than close enough to allow shots to hit not to mention that they fired first.
The movie shows various combat scenarios debunking all that and including an Earth ship colliding with a Mimbari ship but doing no damage to the Mimbari ship. So we know they can get close, and if they can get close they can fire nukes, but no, Mr Hero was the only one to think of using nukes - Funny how no one else thought of trying to use nukes during the entire war..... i mean its pretty obvious they would have the capacity to fire a large number of nukes the mimbari could not shoot them all down. The problem is they want to try and make it that only mr hero could destroy a mimbari ship, thats the mistake, and they have to stretch plausibility beyond its limit to do it.
Lol what, all those combat scenarios in that movie pretty much proved what I just stated in my other comment, lots of shots being fired and barely any if at all managed to hit, and that suicide run by the Earth Ship did destroy the Minbrai ship. In fact that ship was a prototype of the Omega Class we later see in the series, and the only reason it got close was because the Minbari let it get close as they were playing with the humans then and wanted to see what the humans would do. After that disaster, the Minbari never let human ships ever get that close again in subsequent battles. The only reason those nukes worked was because the crew of the Black Star was way too overconfident and didn't even bother to even think that it was possibly a trap and actually got close enough in the asteroid belt for the Nukes to work.
Seriously we have ships capable of shooting energy bolts out of the sky in the series, shooting nukes in comparison would be even more easy as they would be travelling way more slower than energy bolts. Also, like I said before, Minbari have powerful stealth systems that prevents long distance target locks. Humans have to get really close for any form of good chance of actually hitting the Minbari ships. This means that any nukes fired, would have to be fired in really massive swarms to even have a chance of hitting Minbari ships and they would also be extremely close to the Minbari ships when the nukes do hit.
Btw on a small side note here, its actually spelled Minbari, not Mimbari.

just a little more lore here , that half of the covanants fleet was destroyed by masterchief and blue team before jumping to slipspace , and the prophet thought earth was another Colonie according to books , but animation was really well done keep making more!
Much more than half of their fleet was destroyed- hundreds of ships were, as well as a covenant Outpost world and it's moon. That fleet was staging there in preparation for an attack on Earth, once it's location was discovered.
But then, the prophet of regret got a lead on an important forerunner artifact. So he took 14 ships to go check it out. He expected a deserted world or maybe a small, relatively unguarded colony. Instead, he blundered directly into the proverbial Hornets nest- humanity's core world defended by the home fleet of hundreds of ships as well as 300 MAC platforms.

Right when Covenant Ships fired on UNSC their shield energies were down due to re routing to download covenant porns ... Nonsense.
Yes there are problems with the video, for example like every single UNSC MAC round missing (which wouldn't happen), but early UNSC ships at this time didn't have any shields.

And shipborne MAC,s can miss their Targets. They travel at 30.000 km per hours, so a far away covie ship can dodge it.

I love this video! VERY well done! I only have one minor thing to say. The way you portray the MAC guns is a little underwhelming, and this isn't just you, it's a common problem I see. Please, when making further Halo content, keep this in mind: a MAC fires its projectile at a significant proportion of the speed of light. So, when firing, they would look much less like the nice, prepackaged blobs of pew (yes, very scientific, I know), and more like a near instant streak of light, or a small pulse that goes super fast from the UNSC ship to its target. Other than that, thank you for the content, and keep up the great work!

Ship borne MACS dont travel at the speed of light, you are misunderstooding for the super MAC,s ( Cairo Station ).
Unsc ship Mac guns travel at 30.000 km/h, so a covenant ship can dodge it
@@panzerrjcb I didn't say at the speed of light, I said at a significant proportion of the speed of light. A standard frigate-based MAC fires slugs of either ferric Tungsten or depleted Uranium measuring approximately 9.1 meters long at around 30 kilometers per second, around 0.01% the speed of light. Orbital Defense Platforms fire a 3,000-ton slug at four-hundredths, or 4% of, the speed of light, around 12,000 kilometers per second. Keep in mind, these are (relatively) small chunks of metal flying through space with no engine or real thermal signature. By the time especially the super MACs are fired, it's over, there's no dodging that with a large, lumbering ship. And that's also why the ships don't engage until a closer range, because their projectiles are smaller and slower. You are massively underestimating how fast these projectiles are, and massively overestimating the maneuverability of these massively large ships.

But im a sucker for Halo Lore and i have the fleet books, so i know what im saying: Frigate Macs are difficult to dodge but not impossible, and they lack the firepower to effectively destroy big Covie ships, unless used en masse.
Anyway, the only weapon capable of destroying all Covenant ships relatively easily are Super MACs or Nova bombs, because UNSC Space tech are inferior to Covenant tech. Before the advent of Infinity, a single Covenant Carrier could wipe out a whole UNSC fleet ( and im not mentioning a 20 miles long supercarrier ), because according to Lore the Covenant ship Plasma Lances are overpowered ( 100.000km efective range, capable of tearing a unsc ship apart ) .
No wonder UNSC lost the space battle and Many colonies burned.

I'm saying in my original comment that it should be a nearly instantaneous flash of something going off and then a hit on the covie's shields. And yes, covie plasma lances are far more powerful and devastating to UNSC ships due to their lack of shields. You're trying to argue a point that isn't even up for debate.

CapTonLoner actually in the lore, the countries of earth no longer exist. They were disbanded and united under the United Nations space command when the first slip space drives were invented.
In the lore, it also says the US, Canada and Mexico united to create the United Republic of America, so I'm not so sure about that.
If that’s what it says then sure. I got my info from Halo Legends and Contact Harvest. Either way, I’m sure after fist contact and the outbreak of war, all internal governments, means of production, and propaganda was taken over by the UNSC and ONI. I also doubt there were any shipyards at earth specifically, but I could be wrong on that.
