well this episode is about to get really popular
algo keeps putting it on my main page lmao
The supposed magic of Donnie Callaway is being stripped away on BringATrailer where some poor soul paid him $180,000 for work on a 328 that did not even include internal engine or transmission rehab. Knowledgeable people posting there and on Ferrari Chat are dissecting and explaining that the prices charged by Donnie for that car are 3, 4, and 5 times what anyone else in the market would charge for similar work. You should review your invoices again and evaluate the validity of what you were charged.
That same thread is highlighting Donnie's multiple arrests and his recent seizyre by a sting operation in Arizona - WOW!~!
Matt recently defended Donnie in an expose about Donnie's arrest.
“His work is beyond reproach,” Farah said in a phone interview on April 5. “He gave me a fair rate for excellent-quality work.”
@@Ferrari328Grigio-lb9hyRumor is California is coming after him once he gets out of Arizona 😂
I have interacted with Donnie several times on Social Media, and I would say that Donnie is S-L-O-W when it comes to work turnaround. The guy is anal to a fault...a big fault. Cars get torn-apart in his shop, and rarely get re-assembled. I see this a LOT in the indie service community - cars are torn-down, "root cause" is found, parts become a chore to find, funds to resolve the issues become a chore to find, and by then the mechanic is starting ANOTHER project....and ANOTHER one. There are 8-10 cars in pieces everywhere, and nothing is getting completed with any schedule management. This is TOO common.
@@galactictomato1434 The lawsuits are stacking up!
Wasn’t sure about Donnie from his shop visits, but now I’m all in 👍
Have you seen that Donnie has been arrested in Arizona and it sounds just like the CNC debacle where vintage Ferrari are being sold without titles or the legal owner's knowledge ?
@@Ferrari328Grigio-lb9hy holy crap. I did not see that. I am going to look that up and thanks for letting me know. I guess in some ways it doesn’t surprise me. Did it seem at times a little janky at his shop to you? Out there in the middle of nowhere.
@@Ferrari328Grigio-lb9hy I just looked that up. He's in trouble. The article says it's not the first time either!
@@TahoeRealmHe's got a serious record. Yikes.
@@TahoeRealm I'd need to see some documentation before completely throwing him under the bridge. How many vintage Ferrari guys are in their late 70s, or older, who can't remember what they had for dinner last night let-alone remember they authorized Donnie to sell their car? I bet a few. Donnie isn't exactly hurting for money OR business, so I'm not seeing the motivation for doing something this blatantly stupid.
Great interview! My favorite type of podcast!
Great vid
Motts his mellow 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Jesus, I can't understand why this episode has so little views! Donnie is amazing!
I don't get it either
Not so amazing it turns out. The man is in jail 😬
Donnie, I'll fly down to help you drive that garage of Ferraris.
Can you fly down to Arizona and bail him out of jail instead 🤣
@@galactictomato1434 Interesting, so he DOES need me to fly down & drive one of the Ferraris for a while then.
Other names: Sociopath, liar, thief, con artist.
Donnie Callaway is an American mechanic specialized in high-flying classic cars, the kind for which millions are paid at auction. That's why he has quite a reputation among collectors and has even appeared in Jay Leno's Garage.
But now he himself is awaiting trial for a blatant combo of crimes: theft, document falsification, fraud... The trigger was a client's complaint because he tried to sell a Ferrari Daytona and a Ferrari 512BB that he was restoring. . Following this lawsuit, it has been discovered that he has actually amassed a fortune by swindling his wealthy clients.
Just a thought rogan doesn’t spend 90 percent of the time not engaging with his guest.
