Scientist here. Please remember that jewelers are not qualified to instruct ANYONE on gemology as they are not certified scientists nor expert, they just are merchants. Second of all, Moissanite shines brighter and with much more intensity than a diamond because it has the highest RI of all gemstones, in lay mans terms: Moissanite is the shiniest gemstone in the world.
He’s just trying to say it doesn’t shine like a Diamond?
Everybody knows Diamonds shine brighter but less compared to cuz, mossanite, & other unequal wanna be carbon copies
Correct or not correct
I think it’s an accurate opinion anybody who isn’t egotistic would admit
Moissanite has rainbows in it , which makes it look like fake diamond .... I don't wanna look at my diamonds and see the rainbow that's some fruity shit
@@sirspeedsalot you sound like an idiot
@@sirspeedsalot You will if you stop buying crap quality diamonds though lmao.
@@dvyngl4453 You sound poor . You and all the other moissanite lovers are mad that we make fun of your wannabe diamonds ... You guys get so butthurt it's hilarious. If you love moissanite so much than to watch Harlem bling 💀 it's funny watching you guys spaz out crying saying moissanite is better than diamonds 😂😂😂🤡 Goofballs for real
That’s a poorly cut moissanite that’s why it’s not shining, usually moissanite has more brilliance than a diamond. Max probably used a poor quality one just to make his point
I got a vs diamond grillz and a moissanite pendant and I’m Ngl I prefer moissanite, the way it hits in the dark makes me gravitate to it more and no one can tell the difference fr fr
Do you tell people they are diamonds or moissanite?
@@jasonwood8023why does it matter😂
I think everyone thinks moissanite is trying to be like a Diamond, they’re two separate things and moissanite happens to share an almost similar appearance in the way jewelry is made with moissanite, yes it shines harder I’ve seen both Diamond and moissanite in person and a CZ, you can say a V8 is a V8 but there’s diff cars that drive differently than each other, one is better in track one is better in a straight line, moissanite is better at its shine Diamond is of course better in all ways but it’s shine…just my opinion tho!! Everyone is open to feel how they feel, get what YOU can AFFORD and what YOU like
Problem is, the primary reason people buy moissanite is to get the diamond look, and most aren't honest about it.
I´ll by Moissanite anytime and save my money for something else, it works just fine and shines like a dimond, only idiots by dimonds from jewlerers where they lose half the value of the dimond aw soon as the leave the store.
The moissanite rainbow effect is beautiful, I prefer it. Seriously.
@@vision821k4 same and is more ethical stone than a diamond
I think trax misspoke here he meant to say he is against Jewelers selling cvds for the cost of natural diamonds. Similar to selling czs for the cost of moissanite. He also kept saying that lab diamond is crap quality and that not all lab diamonds are the same because honestly was not a huge difference. But the same can also be said about moissanites. The lab Diamond did look better here but I wonder if it's because it was more freshly polished and most likely cut better. Very hard hard to tell though. So $300 vs $5000 on the bracelet. Easy math for me. I just paid $70 for a cz silver one. Lmao. And czs have different qualities of cuts as well.
I'm a very wealthy person and I would definitely prefer moissanite.
😂😂😂😂
$SKey704 spread the wealth fam its all love playa playa🎉 cmon playa Its me baby😂 boogaloo
2:15 sounds like a good deal, selling you natural but charging you CVD.
LOL
You jeweler's are just the middle man raising the price drastically
Depending on which light you have the stones in I guarantee the moissanite will shine brighter. Two beams light is always better than one.
Moissanite is hurting this guy’s business 😂
It comes down to physics optics and geometry and even quantum mechanical probabilities because that's what determines whether a photon is absorbed or reflected.
spit that in a rhyme. thats hot fire. Brilliant. drop them jewels on em.
The dramatic music at the end was perfect 🤣
I'm loving these videos and the ideas coming outta the comments!
I'm also shocked by the comparison, the lab diamond looks better than the moissanite! But maybe that's cuz it's been touched more 🤭
@@furryavacado8000 that and probably because it's high quality lab diamond even though he's calling it crap lol. And maybe that Moissanite not as polished or cut as well. There was a jeweler on UA-cam I forget the name who put different Moissanite diamonds under a microscope and explained the difference in color to diamonds(moissanites are really E) and cut qualities of different moissanites and why his were better. It was really interesting. I bet if that same lab who produced that lab Diamond Produced a Moissanite it would be banging. Same goes for czs. But let's face it no one is looking at anything under a microscope and the difference to the eye is negligible. Some people buy jewelry for the looks and fashion some people buy it the flex how much money they have. To each his own only haters judge.
@@cooloutac that moissanite was from Harlem bling and I put it in the ultrasonic 3 times before bringing it to trax 😅 I love moissanites but the lab diamond looked better and it wasn’t even a high quality lab diamond (according to trax)
@@HARLEMBLINGREVIEWS the moissanite looked bigger too or was I wrong? You had the best view in person were you able to examine them side-by-side yourself? I thought the lab Diamond looked way better until traxx finally picked up the Moissanite and twirled it a little in the light and than I thought oh its actually ok. Lol
The moissanite was slightly bigger and the lab diamond looked slightly better. However they’re both beautiful stones in my opinion
Can't wait to react to this 🤯
Trax calling the moissanite dead shows his bias. Moissanite is on FIRE and very much alive compared to diamond. If you want real info, get it from a gemologist, not a diamond dealer.
I really don't matter what dose what not every one has diamond money or moissanite money let people shine and manifest as jewelers competition is good but good sportsmanship
Keep on going my mans!
Moissanite has a higher refractive index
That was a low grade stone
I think that stone was honestly made out of glass it had no color or shimmer
thanks for the info trax nyc
thats awesome I clearly see the difference good job maN'
🤦🏾♂️, Moissanite will actually more due to double refraction. That’s not molecule it’s a molecular structure.
You cant tell the difference anyway and fr most of the celebrities..rappers.. entertainers jewelry is moissanite any damn way…and even if u walk around with an diamond tester moissanite still test as diamond…
You can literally see the light refracting out of the side of the lab stone onto his finger tips. The moisanite not so much.
Would like to see more about moissanite and explain abit more would really appreciate it
There is a guy on youtube his channel called Rhino's school of rock he really goes in depth even comparing qualities of different moissanites. He has his own brand which is hella hella expensive, but I bet hos moissanite blows most away. For me its not worth the cost but if this video is the argument it would be interesting to compare.
is that a weed volcano vaporizor in the background?
0:46 there are NO molecules on the periodic table, and diamond is not a molecule... it is an atom lattice. 1:20 the RI of diamond is 2.42, and that is not how light bending works. RI = n = c/v, the speed of light in a diamond is 1/2.45 (0.41) that of light in a vacuum. Meanwhile, the RI of moissanite is RI = 3.00 (1/3.00 that of light in vacuum) which allows for light to reflect better off Moissanite. The reason Moissanite is brighter is the Si-C lattice which by the way is wrong on the video, is able to cause double light-bending and a high refractive index (lights hits facets twice). Moissanite is also more resistant because although it has a hardness 9.5, Moissanite lacks cleavage planes while diamond has 4 distinct cleavage planes due to the distribution of bond strength (p orbital electron redistribution)... so Diamond has 4 cleavage planes (x, y, z, xz) and Moissanite has none. Tis means that if diamond is hit at a certain angle... it will shatter. Moissanite has indistinct cleavage and cnchoidal fracture.
Thats a good point too you hear about people accidentally cracking their diamonds in half. Don't hear about moissanite chipping like people claim in theory. And I don't think anyone actually believed or cared what this guy says about molecules. Its hilarious content though. All people care about is what they see with their eyes. Although I think its time to invest in a loop because the difference in qualities of moissanites is as as vast as diamonds it seems, only difference being there is no centralized real grading system so its up to the consumer themselves to compare and judge.
Hey great comment. It's pretty hilarious watching max trying to explain this stuff. The science doesn't lie. Moissanite having no cleavage planes is something very few understand.
I definitely saw the difference
Right for sure
Def buy what ya want lol but consider value
Whos robinhood?
I found the Moissanite to be flat and dull.
Brandon only paid $100 for that whopping 6 ct moissanite. But if you watch till the end where traxx actually picks it up and twirls it in the light its not that bad. Also the color was pretty dam good too. Some moissanites like really yellow. But i've just learned and confirmed for myself there is just as much difference in qualities between different moissanites as much as in diamonds. For example that same style cut and size moissanite stone can be had from a high quality lab for $1500. And I bet it looks a hell of alot better lol.
It wasn’t a quality stone he used for a side by side with a higher end diamond foreal.
LOL I work for the company for everybody's Fick. Keep your mouth shut and making more money
He's right the moissanite looks like plastic
Liar
None of them diamonds worth millions it’s a marketing scam
Hey brotha @traxNYCjewelry did i really win on your love sub giveaway 🎉
I like em both. I think moissanite will only get more popularity out of this from trax bringing it up again. I wonder if eddie gona have a sales jump
Honestly there’s a difference in the way the moissanite shines it’s more of a rainbow hue similar to a cubic zirconia but a lot brighter, a diamond has more of a blue hue, I have both personally I like the way a diamond hits
Way to compare it to a fake stone . That wasn’t even real moissanite and if it was it looks like you did your best to make it look like shit
Basically should of said I can't make money off you if I give you a deal that doesn't cost me much
Yessir was waiting
Diamonds are everywhere and I mean everywhere they are not rare don’t let these monopoly run jewelers trick you diamonds are overhyped and overpriced for no reason at all
Diamonds are common. Not rare at all. It's all just controlled by 1 family.
Where does one go for school about the rocks???
Great video Brandon. If given the option I would prefer a cheaper lower quality SI diamond that's smaller in carats over moissanite because moissanite sparkles too much. Also, I like telling people it's a diamond when they ask. I do feel that moissanite is a nice stone but I'm not crazy for them. It also makes sense what Micky said that it's the diamond district and they only sell diamonds. Personally, I feel that moissanite is an affordable option but what I don't understand is the reason why people purchase it? Do they purchase it to pass for a diamond? Or do they purchase it because they really like moissanite? I also feel selling moissanite would hurt Trax's reputation because the other bigger celebrity jewelers don't sell moissanite and that would hurt the prestige of his company.
Well most people buy moissanite because it sparkles a lot and the hardness is almost as hard as a diamond. So unlike a CZ, a moissanite will not scratch easily (similar to a diamond). It’s also more affordable. Most people (including myself) can barely tell the difference so I wear whatever looks nice on a piece of jewelry 💎
@@HARLEMBLINGREVIEWS There's just something else about having real diamonds and being able to say they're diamonds
@@BEV_shorts Well thats the centuries old scam. Honestly I would rather have a nice car or house. Boats are just as bad investments as diamonds but I would rather have one of those too. lol Or even a watch because at least with a watch you know you really are getting better quality and longer lasting mechanisms and a frew brands hold their value. Jewelers will claim moissanite chips over time. But they generally shine brighter even if not in this video. But unlike cz's they don't really get scratched and the only gems we hear about cracking are diamonds breaking in half.
You’re wrong about having no moissanite in big jewelers. Also, natural diamonds are nice but lab are better. If you’re buying Natural instead of lab, you’re getting ripped off no matter what price you pay.
I buy moissanite and appreciate it for what it is and also have no problem telling people there moissanite to me and your local pawn shop a diamond is worth absolutely nothing buy gold and silver don't buy useless diamonds. I been collecting silver and gold for years and there's always value in it but your local buy and sell is going to offer you next to nothing for small diamonds you better have an absolute monster of a stone to have any type of value and even they there only gonna buy it from you for a fraction of what you paid for it. I would say don't buy diamonds unless you really just have to have one or love them for what they are. I'd rather moissanite and have them set in real gold.
I knew you were gonna bring it to Trax..not the answer you expected or was it 😆
I knew he’d like diamond better 😂
I couldn’t tell the difference
Same 😭
I’m not rocking no mossinite! Gimme a Lab diamond if I can’t get a blood diamond.
What a dumbo... Alright name 5 gemstones from the top of your head. Go
I Appreciate the knowledge trax gives to the viewers since I'm poor I will go with moissanite lol. But if I were rich best believe I would be only getting natural G.I.A certified natural diamonds.
The diamond reflect more light on your fingers compared to the wanna be diamond one
Moissanite is a different gemstone bruh. What you talking about lol
