- Old rusty axe restoration. I've bought this hatchet online and the eye was broken, so I had to weld it.
Since the axe was already damaged I saw no point into trying to restore it to it's original shape, so I decided to turn it into a short hatchet.
Most of the restoration is rust removal and shaping the hatchet using the angle grinder. - Навчання та стиль

@@thedeadliestmarine5532 being generally prepared for cold temperatures is smart, it doesn't mean you're scared of the cold 😂. An average of 1,301 people die per year in the USA alone from cold temperatures. Of course you wouldn't die going out for such a short time but permanent nerve damage in your fingers is definitely a thing for short periods outside and really annoying to deal with for the rest of your life.

Honestly this is one of the only real restoration channels I’ve ever been able to find. Everyone else just spray paints their stuff all the time. Never try to make the product work in modern conditions like this guy does

Also, if anyone here has actually taken a shop class, (which it seems like you haven’t) you’d know that wearing gloves while working is more dangerous than not doing so. Obviously there are some cases in which you need to wear gloves (hot items). However in most situations it is best to minimize loose/excess clothing to prevent the chances of getting caught in a machine.

You should go for it, it's not that hard. Start with something simple, like a knife, much easier to shape the handle.
