Nick when you made your last pass and folded up your chisel and was heading home what is the distance to that mountain in the foreground ? I have some amazing information on that shot
Whatever Case is paying you to promote this tractor ain't enough! That drone shot at 19:54 should be in every case promotion-print, digital, or otherwise! Absolutely *chefs kiss*
Man case better be paying you a lot of money or be giving you that tractor and seed cart as payment since you make Case look like the most beautiful piece of equipment on earth!!!!!
You know how many people have never been in a tractor or combine at sunrise or sunset!!! What a nice reminder in this video of life lived outdoors! Thank You!
@@WelkerFarms Yes! Nick~~ Your drone shots are AMAZING! Those Hollywood Cinematographers have nothing on you! Thank You for another great video! That new Case IH was awesome..... but I still have a soft spot for your BIG BUDS! ❤
Nick, everyone is right ,your filming and presentation (ie music, lighting, landscape etc)really shows the beautiful machinery in an awesome way, great show.
Love seeing the old Flexi-coil equipment still in use. We used to run an 800 chisel plow air seeder with coil packer. Loved seeing the chevrons from the packer. Awesome power from the big beast of a tractor!
Nick you sure take videoagraphy to the next level. Especially for a farmer and f16 pilot with not much training in videoagraphy. I tip my hat to you, your brother, and your Father. You're 60fr flex coil is what we here in Minnesota, call a field cultivator. A chisel plow has heavier trip springs on the shanks and they usually put straight chisle points on each shank. A ripper shank has even greater spring pressure. A field cultivator we usually pull 2 to 6 inches deep. A chisel plow runs 6 to 12 inches deep and the ripper runs 10 to 18 inches deep.
To a guy that grew up on a "U" Moline, all that power is unimaginable. The last tractor I drove was a Moline M602 which had 71 horse power, one tenth of what you are driving around.
We had a U Moline, A John Deere, R John Deere, 930 Case and an 830 Case..... you could put them all together and not even come close to what that 715 has to offer! Groovy!
Nick. I’m not ashamed to say it but when I see your drone shots especially at the beginning I get tears in my eyes and a lump in my throat. Just beautiful. Can’t wait to get back to Montana for a vacation. Greetings from Florida.
That tractor is an absolute beast!! Can’t believe only 40% engine load on a 60’ chisel at that depth. Kudos to your Case/IH dealer for getting you on the demo list!!
What a beast that tractor is is! Love the footage! As a OTR trucker, very few people understand the beauty the good Lord has given us to see the beauty of sunrise and sunsets on the same day! Just farmers and truckers only know! Thank you and my God Bless you and family!
Love the 715, amazing tech indeed. But I was just thinking, how times have changed over the years. Can you imagine how many tractors, drivers, support crew you would need to manage a farm that size back in the days of say the old Ford N8? It would be a struggle always battling time constraints, fatigue, breakdowns etc etc. in the end it’s all proportional, more land needs bigger equipment or more affordable automated units guided by GPS. Thanks for your footage Nick and crew, very well done and inspirational to watch.
These videos that The Welker Farms and Fast Ag produce with the scenery of Montana and the best in my opinion. Where can you get such great content, breathtaking scenery great humor and learn about their ways of farming in 2023. My hats off to the Welkers and Tony Fast.
Something that rarely gets a mention on these videos from Welker Farms, is just how good the cinematography is - that side shot of the 715, with the sun glinting off of it, towards the end of the video, being particularly noteworthy - could have come from a professional outfit with captures like that.
I just read a story in the Wall Street Journal “How Farmers Are Teaching Old Tractors to Think for Themselves” that quotes Nick Welker - what a great story and highlights how innovative the Welkers are.
Nick, beginning part of this video, EPIC. Excellent filmography. I really think Case needs to use more of "your" drone work in their advertisements videos.
Would have loved to see the 715 alongside your 525 Big Bud. Tractors have come a long way. The power of the 715 was more than impressive. Thanks for sharing your experience with it, with us.
Nick, If I win the Lottery I'll get you one! Flew into GTF last thursday, just in time for black Ice and zero degree weather. Had a funeral to go to. Even with all that, I felt I was back home once I hit the highline. Florida had thinned my blood but the Highwood mountains and Sweetgrass hills looked beautiful.
when your 60ft plow and packer is 6-8in deep and its only putting 30% load on the tractor then you know you are gonna have to get into some seriously big equipment to tax that big girl!!! Thanks for sharing and those drone skills just keep getting better and better!
Wow, wow, and again, wow. This video has got to be one of the most spectacular , beautifully shot, interesting farm videos I have ever witnessed ( and I have watched a lot of videos) . You brothers could win an Oscar with this one; if you lived in Hollywierd ! All kidding aside ; the sunsets and the mountains are absolutely stunning. I loved every minute of this. Be careful, your going to make 0:10
Send this video to Bloomberg, Ask him if he could do this much work in as little time. Great video chaps, the clip with the sun on the Case was Amazing and Case should use that in selling that Quadtrac.
Best video of the year in the field! The camera coverage with the drone footage made it typical of the bountiful harvest videos of the past (without the drought the last couple of years).
Most intros I skip, not only on yours, but this one is outstanding. Plus, as the 715 went by, plus the hookups, it a bit over 15 sec. to go by. I don't think you could turn it around here in some Indiana fields. God has given you an outstanding pallet to work with.
Spectacular professional video shots. Always got another career if the rains dont pan out That monster Stiger makes those drill tillage tools beg for mercy Operator heaven in that 21st century cab
I think that beast would easily pull the 80 foot that the 747 big bud pulls! Beautiful drone shots and I hope that winter wheat turns out well for you guys. Keep up the good work!
That machine is a beast!!! I've ALWAYS wanted to drive a tracked machine, but even if I was still in the farming community, the UK just doesn't need many machines that size...... especially in the Nofolk area I'm in. I know that some areas of the UK do have larger sizes, but the area in most farms would probably fit inside your largest field. Once you have the labyrinth of roads we have, most fields would be - plow in the ground, drive for 30 seconds, plow out and turn around!! 😂 It's still awesome to see one of those machines in its natural habitat 😊👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
We had case tractors on our farm but that is impressive I have driven a lot of different tractors but hands down this makes them like their standing still

Awesome video Nick. Great drone footage and editing as always. Seems like the engineering / design teams at Case knocked it out of the park with the 715 Quadtrack. Beautiful machine.
The hood has a weird optical illusion from inside the cab, it's so wide when you look at it from the outside but inside it looks like the 620 or a challenger tractor I love it
With Nick's amazing video production, keeping a top of the line tractor in their dooryard throughout the growing season would be short money for elite advertising content.

I believe Case-IH is the Gold standard on track tractors.
I've always had a bias toward John Deere but I have to agree.
Larson Farms has both and it's clear they favor the Case too.

Nick that opening with the sky and tractors should be on a national TV advertisement for the support of farming and all AG related products. Fabulous
