Hello everyone.
We travelled up to Oban after leaving the Caravan and Motorhome Club site at Barcaldine.
And then we took the Calmac Ferry across the Sound of Mull to the beautiful island of Mull.
It was a perfect morning for the 45 minute trip with views back to the mainland and Ben Nevis and across to Mull and Ben More.
So this video shows how easy it is to taje a motorhome on to a ferry in Scotalnd.
The start of an epic adventure for us.

It did begin Dara. We have fallen in love with Mull. A stunning island with incredible wildlife.
We didn’t get the big money shots of Otters but have film of a Dog Otter and a Mother and cub.
We’re going back to Mull as soon as we can!!

Yep, we fell in love with Mull last week. Never been so blown away by a place ever. We love Skye, the North Coast and the West Coast but Mull has been amazing. Can’t really put it into words - it’s just stunning. We’re currently in Ardnamurchan which is equally beautiful.

Oh George. This has just been the best trip ever. I’ve not only seen species for the first time but been able to film them.
We’ve absolutely fallen for the Isle of Mull. I can’t explain it. Skye is stunning but Mull seems to be less”austere” in its beauty. Eagles, Otters, Red Deer. They’re all here. And showing well.
I was going to include the wildlife we have seen and filmed in each vid but I’m going to have to compile a whole film on it.

You make those ferry rides look easy and fun but I know I would be worried riding on one. Pretty neat to see the sites along the way. That castle was super neat to see. Looks like you are having a great time. Take care.
We are Steve. Only downside is being out of signal a lot. That was the second ferry of four we went on. The third one was tiny and we didn’t think we would fit on it!
But an amazing trip!

We’ve fallen heavily for the Isle of Mull. The wildlife is something else mate!!
I so wanted to do this the last time we were in the Highlands a few years back. We stopped at the Premier Inn at Oban for 5 days and had intended to do this trip but Mrs Metalman took ill so we had to cut our trip short. Nice to see you getting drier weather, stunning views (that sunset) and what a place indeed - we need to go back! Cheers Alan
Fell in love with Mull mate. And Ardnamurchan. Head over heels.
It’s stunning. - seven days of full Sun helped of course but the people and wildlife were incredible. Had a flyover from a Sea Eagle on our last day. Right over our heads. Plus a fewOtters too. We’re now across in Onich which is beautiful but it’s not a patch on the wildness of Mull and Ardnamurchan.
You would just love it!
The ferry trip was amazing. Loved seeing the calm water. Ferries are such a great way to travel.
It was such a fantastic crossing Donna. Dead calm and the views back to the big mountains were amazing. We had seven days of incredible weather after that!! No one told us to bring swimming trunks to Scotland!! 😃

We’ve had an amazing trip to Scotland so far. It’s our longest trip in terms of distance and time away so we’re learning a lot. Have been out of signal a lot too but hoping to catch up with everything soon.

Thanks Lindsay. We did love Mull. But the weather helped immensely too. We found Tobermory a bit “strange” but elsewhere was just amazing! Never seen so much wildlife and a lot of new species for me.
Getting wet on Ardnamurchan today but the forecast for the weekend looks amazing!!!

This one brought back lovely memories for us of our time in oban, and getting that same ferry over to mull for our island day trip (you were right Dave, it is a little one😂 🚢). We do have Scottish Sun Tans! 😃😃. It has been an awesome trip. Hardly any rain at all for three weeks!! Can’t believe our luck.
We’re now back in England - Northumberland- trying to work out how to get washing dry in a sea fret fog 😃😃
We’ve had a blast. The only downside has been some dodgy signals and trying to upload and watch vids on the go. So we’re going to try and catch up as soon as we’re back.

Epic. Those views were amazing. The lighthouse and the castle were stunning in that setting. The ferry ride looked fun. That noise on the ferry got me worried. I thought my computer was going bad. 😂😂

Oh my goodness, this ferry trip was just the best. The Sea was like a Mill Pond and the views were stunning. We could see all the way back to Ben Nevis on the mainland (highest UK mountain) and out to the Outer Hebrides.
This trip just keeps giving and giving!! It has been epic and we are only half way through.

@@NBNatureTrailvan It is not the place but the people. The site we were on was fine but we had problems with garages and pub meals LOL. I loved seeing the eagles etc.
Very well made video! Thank you! I will be travelling there in less then 2 weeks and I`m nervous as! This ferry trip will be the very first in my life and it was so helpful to see how lined up at the terminal and then drove onto the ferry. I have booked my ticket for me and the car. Did you have pre-booked tickets? I wonder if I have to pop at the Oban terminal building to get paper tickets or will the staff just scan the QR code from my e-ticket? Cheers! Susanna from Finland

You will love the ferry trip to Mull. Hope the weather is good for you.
You don’t have to go into the Ferry terminal at all. Just arrive at the entrance where a staff member directs you to a numbered lane. From there, you are directed past a booth where they will scan your e-ticket. And then it’s on to a boarding lane to wait before boarding.
We fell in love with the Isle of Mull. The place is stunning - we saw and filmed so much wildlife and the landscape is jaw droppingly beautiful.
