    Charles didn't want a wife, he wanted a mommy who would pat him on the head and put his fingerpaintings on the fridge. Instead, he got a shy, sensitive girl (Diana) who expected him to be a husband, and who had legendary charisma (thus taking the attention off off him). He couldn't handle it.

    I wish Canada would remove the Royal Family as their ceremonial Head of State. We are all grown up now and no longer a colony of the British, nor do we possess any longer that colonial mentality. We can decide on our own affairs, manage our own resources and direct our own future. The Royals are an expensive frivolity and have no further rational meaning or purpose for us. We cringe when they come here for one of their "Look Us Over Tours" with the horrendous costs we have to bear for their visits, to give them gifts they don't need and just to hear them make irrelevant, forgettable and meaningless statements. I noticed that on the last visit here by Charles, the reaction by the public here was mostly hostile, so his appearances were very selective and limited to 3 very small controlled stops. Also noticed that the few members of the public that did meet him, they refused to bow to him as per protocol. The Royals' relationship with Canada has been mostly of an exploitive nature, which we now recognize. I and many people here, are ready to cut our ties with the Royal Family and declare ourselves as a Republic. We would not notice any change in how the government operates in Canada if they were removed. Let the Brits keep and pay for them if they enjoy and appreciate the occasional Jewelry & Costume Shows, all the while a large number of their Royal Subjects freeze to death every winter and struggle with food poverty.

    I cannot imagine all of the trauma damage that has been done to the children who are growing up as royals. Everyone thinks they have it made, with everything money could buy. But they do not have the love and consistent attention of loving parents. They aren't allowed authenticity, even after they are crowned. These families seem so incredibly dysfunctional, as far back as the monarchy goes. Look at how many people have suffered irreparable harm, or even death, all because Prince Charles was not allowed to marry the love of his life. I feel compassion for Charles and Camilla, and I am glad they finally were allowed to get married. I just wish that King Charles and Queen Camilla would use their position of power to make changes in the archaic expectations placed on the young royals, and allow them to follow their passions, both in relationships and in pursuit of their interests and talents.

    Actually, Charles is not that crazy when it comes to his medicinal beliefs. It would be typical of a conventional doctor to poo poo anything that he says if it isn’t along the lines of what the pharmaceutical companies say, but then we know after all the mess that the medical industry has created that some people don’t trust them. There is nothing wrong with holistic medicine. But of course, it conflicts with conventional medicine ideas. And let’s face it not all conventional medicine works. Just think about how many people have died taking pharmaceuticals. It’s staggeringly high and the number two killer next to heart disease. There are other things that he does that I do not agree with at all. But like with most people, you can’t agree with everything they do.

    Van der Post, despite his Dutch name, never showed himself much - or even at all - in the Netherlands, nor are his works - books etc - much to be seen there. In fact, I’m not sure whether they have even been published in Dutch. There was a reason for that. Too many people in the Netherlands knew a thing or two about his conduct in the Japanese POW camp where they were with him for 3 years or so. They kept mostly, but not entirely, quiet about it. But if Van der Post had sought the limelight in the Netherlands as much as he did in the English speaking world, they’d probably have opened up. Van der Post seems to have realised that and have decided that discretion was the better option.

    Without a shred of a doubt, I can sum up Charles, Charles & Di, Charles & Chamila Easily!!! Charles was a mommas boy. Always and Extremely! If he could have breast fed to her majesty’s death, he would have! Plus he’s just as much a Narcissist. Dianna, a beautiful soul, wouldn’t focus her attention directly on him. She was the “People’s Princess”. She loved and cared for everyone. Especially those suffering. Insert her polar opposite, Camilla, who has and will always focus all her love and attention on Charles. The “Charles princess”. That is why Charles always loved Camilla and couldn’t love Dianna. She would never solely love him alone, nor offer up a lifetime of breastfeeding him his own kool aid. Diana would have been the Absolute Best queen! And Charles knew she would not only put the people before him, she would be so much more epically, monumentally beloved and adored.. perhaps even more so then his own mother.. He, being a narcissistic, sad little man, couldn’t mentally handle it.

      My goodness!!! What a strange, convoluted mind you must have. You have obviously never seriously researched anything that you've commented on here! How could Charles be a momma's boy when he wouldn't see her for months at a time? He also had to wait patiently to shake her hand, while she was greeting others, after being away for months. No, no momma's boy there!! Diana incidentally fell out with almost everyone she knew, her mother, her sisters, her flatmates, her step mother. I've just realised, you know nothing, you're Canadian. That fits!!!

Then my dad's best friend who was at the same campus as him(Trinity college) climbed 2 important 80 ft buildings in the middle of the night and strung it up for him to see from out his window. Every non-royal Chinese person I know has lived that experience. If there is no room for a child to have autonomy for normal development it is unhealthy. Unless the child really wants what parents expect them to become it can create robots unable think for themselves or the pendulum swings the other way becoming so open minded the brains seem to fall out. Blame "well their parents did that to them so its accepted and ok" doesn't make it ok right. Snuffing out the spirit of a child to inherit more generational damage doesn't encourage a better world. It isn't like he is Donald Trump hoping to begin WWIII. He did his duty. He married a woman he didn't love to produce an heir and a spare. Was it his duty to keep trying to feel love for Diana the rest of his life span or people judge him evil? He isn't Jesus Christ perfect, just a human like everyone else. Religious extremists are dangerous whether Muslim, Jew, Christian or Hindu. His privileged life has been mostly a prison. I wish him happiness, peace and wisdom to guide people kindly without a sense of pompous entitlement.

  • @paulstuart551
    @paulstuart551 11 місяців тому +8

    If Charles was intellectually superior to Diana she wouldn't have been able to outwit him at every point. He believes in nonsense because that is his normality, it enabled him to indulge in controversial ideas. The man is a hypocrite, he has no experience or empathy with those who struggle; he is given money from taxpayers (not value for money) while increasing his wealth privately & avoiding taxes he can well afford. He may not of had affection from his parents but that is their way of suppressing emotion; many suffer far greater abuse & neglect. His ideas of homeopathy have no scientific base or even logic. He talks about spirituality but sold weapons to Arab nations. He is a narcissist who criticises architecture while many can't afford the cost of a dingy room to live in. He cynically used Diana to bear an heir before making her life intolerable, suggesting she was unhinged to justify his behaviour. The "firm" is a disgrace to Britain with it's scandals (many hidden), a reminder of colonial shame. It would be better to abolish the outdated, irrelevant & expensive monarchy to become a modern republic.

    has done so many things wrong in my eyes. He will have to answer one day for his cruelness to her and other ladies.
    But these families especially men like him will have to answer for their stupidity. M. Taha

      The financial aspects related to royal palaces and estates are often a topic of discussion. Regarding personal conduct or allegations against individuals, it's essential to be cautious in making claims or accusations without concrete evidence. These matters involve various perspectives and complexities, and they're often the subject of ongoing debate and speculation.

    What a despicable hatchet job on the king! Many of the ideas raised (quite one-sidedly) in the video are the reasons I respect Charles. He could do a better job of running the country than the idiots who are currently in charge.

      It seems the video's portrayal of the king didn't resonate with your view. Charles' qualities highlighted in the video may align with why you respect him. Everyone holds diverse opinions, and your perspective on his potential leadership stands out. We recommend other videos though!

    The theme of this film is the infidelity of upper class British men. I believe this is the downfall of the white race and the source of the recent decline in the strength of Western countries and the reason for the rise in dictatorial leaders for a weakening race.

      Themes in films often provoke varied interpretations. While infidelity might be a theme, attributing societal declines or geopolitical shifts to a single factor can be complex. Societal changes have multifaceted origins and interpretations.

    I genuinely believe that Charles is the first true 'philosopher king' we've had since Henry II in the 12th century. He's a far better speaker than his beloved mother, or any other monarch since the age of broadcasting. He has ideas based on deep reflection and humanist values - something most of the world's political leaders are nowadays sorely lacking. Give him a chance, and he will shine!
