Fairytales are fairytales and have nothing to do with reality. Their marriage did not stand a chance, with of without Camilla. Not only had they nothing in common, their personalities simply did not match. I believe them that they tried to make it work. But as different as they were, one simply did not understand the feelings and needs of the other and failure was inevitable. In addition, the influence of mental illnesses like bulemia should not be underestimated. Even in a functioning partnership, this is a test of endurance. Sad it did not work, but that‘s life. Things like these happen everyday, everywhere. And there are always two sides to a story and we know only one, her side. Had she not died young, she would never have been elevated to the status of almost a saint. She would have gone on with her life, grown old and noone would be talking about the events that happened decades ago any more.

So now Charles is the King. I am an American, but the whole idea of a monarchy kind of turns my stomach. These are just people, like anyone else. Just because they are descendants of famous rulers, this does not make them special. They should not be ruling anyone, or getting tax exempt status. However, I see how much Brits love their monarchy, so I try to be open minded about it. I feel very sad about how they used Diana to produce an heir, and I hope things change. Some things are outdated and need to be given up.

Feels to me that William and Harry are simply playing along "liking" Camilla because they have to. That’s not quite an 11 years. If you go from 1994 to now, it’s almost 28 years. If you go from Charles and Camilla got married in 2005 to now it’s 16 years. So where are they getting “19 years together” coming from?

Just because they are descendants of famous rulers, this does not make them special. They should not be ruling anyone, or getting tax exempt status. Whom Can We Trust If No One Is Trustworthy?

Cheating is never ok in my opinion but we come from “normal” society. No one but a select few can understand the pressure of being in the royal family much less the future king of England. In my world my parents didn’t care who I married as long as I loved them. Imagine being forced basically to marry a person because they are “suitable” to be a future queen. Imagine not being able to marry the person you love because of some archaic tradition. People think being a rich royal would be an amazing fairy tale. Yeah not for me. No thanks.
