That looks common. Mine is the same area of tear at the wire area. My company said there was a recall, and they would get back to me if I qualified. They never did.
@@kevinklino3193 The tape has lasted a long time but with other parts of the awning getting whethered those untapped areas have been affected plus hurricane winds, 70+ mph driving all over. I will be soon filming a new video to show these blemishes that have occurred and will upload. Please subscribe and click the Bell. My store: operationrv.printify.me I have tons of custom Tee’s, channel merch, gear, etc.
I cannot guarantee but will say from experience using this in all sorts of surfaces is that it’s veryyyyy stick and will stick on pretty much any surface even if wet(make sure it’s dry) and extremely flexible. I would try it if I had canvas to give u my opinion.
I'm not certain without seeing a photo or where on the roller part. I will say that if each end has at least 1" or room for the adhesive to stick then it could work. I've used this on multiple items and have not had an issues.
Dustinpool & torq21 I'm not sure on that note to be honest. I will see it may be somewhere along the lines of the moden FlexSeal tape. I will also the tape in my vid is good stuff. Still no issues, no leaks, no tears, etc.
Good stuff, I use it on the roof, and next week am going to run it along the awning where sun damage is.
How did that hold up?

Super. Now I know how to position my phone on the roof of my RV.
Thanks for the videos I watched both. I know it’s been 7 years but how well did the tape hold up for you?

Do you have a way to send a pic
Nothing was repaired in this video. Guess I will watch part 2.
Is the adhesive the same as eternabond
dustinpool I'd like to know the same. I have a bunch of eternabind and wonder if it's adequate. I only have a small tear so it probably will be fine.

A video of what your hands are doing would be more useful.
Awning 101, sundown, awning in. You don't need shade at night.
