@@SimplySmart123 I installed this in December and it worked great until a week ago when it lost its connection. I tried to "reboot" the device several times by unplugging it. I then deleted the Go Control device under Smartthings and could not get it to re-install. I finally did some reading and had to put Smartthing under exclusion mode to delete the device. I couldn't get the device re-installed until I moved it next to the Smarththings Hub and after doing the install twice got it finally back online. I don't know why it lost its connection permanently. Perhaps it was due to a smartthings hub upgrade which I have as "Allow". Except for that one incident, it has worked with no problems.

How do you write an automation program to use your iPhone as a presence sensor with geofencing with the new SmartThings app. The trouble I’m having, is that when I return home, the door opens and when I try to manually close it later on, the door will open immediately upon the door sensor reads “closed”. I’ve tried the timers and the home, away and night modes. I don’t have a good understanding on what the different modes are, but I feel like I’ve tried everything that I can think of. The only way I can close the door is to turn off the automation scene of me arriving home. Please let me know if you can help me or not. I’ve looked at plenty of videos of how to do the programming on the old SmartThings app, but not on the new version.

I haven’t tried that but I think you could split the wires and have one wire go to one and one go to the other but you wouldn’t be able to control them independently and it might cause issues when you do control them independently not using the GoControl. I would suggest getting 2 to have more control over each door, less wear and tear on each opener and no syncing issues.

In the part of the video you will need to check if you have the connections mentioned in the wiring portion. I've read a lot of comments about how unreliable this product is. How's it operate for those of you who have installed it?

Mine has been perfect. Most people are not going to say something if it works great. But people that have problems tend to have stronger options. Also it may depend on the environment that the controller is placed. We are in SC with an insulated garage so the electrical components are not in any extremes.

I was debating this one for awhile too but decided on it.
Decided to just go with it. Bought mine from Home Depot Online last week and received GD00Z-8-GC. So I guess its the latest version. So 🤞 it stays working for awhile.
