I do enjoy the fact that you can decide every mission whether you want to play it on a certain difficulty. So after a few tense games you can dial it back.
Love this game so much, and love seeing you do content on it. I am on prestige 7 so this has been really helpful for learning. Please keep doing content on it, I’m learning a lot!
Yeah, the method is this: I wait until the storm starts, check that my resolve is okay. Then I check that the hostility level doesn't spike by opening the glade and then go for it. This time you have way more time to resolve the glade event until the next storm hits town. Since the timers on event resolution get severely increased on higher prestige levels this can make quite a bit of a difference.
I personally like to pick stone when embarking for early stone roads, do you think it's a bad opportunity cost? Also, I went into the game's settings & changed the default for Woodcutting camps to "Avoid Glades Unless Marked". Do you plan on releasing a video on the changes to camps/buildings defaults you can make in the settings?
I think Stone is too valuable early on for Bricks, but the speed bonuses sure DO matter a lot, especially in the center area of your city. I can't really tell objectively if you'd gain more progression speed out of stone roads or early bricks. But my gut feeling tells me stone roads might be stronger than I think, cause the bonus is unconditional. Still more Guide videos for AtS in the planning, don't you worry o/
i usually dont open forbidden glades unless I have atleast stone / training tools / tools etc, and for midgame when you want the good option usually you need luxury goods, but I usually open like 3+ small glades first just so that I can get a variety of goods I might need for resolving dangerous events. but im still a beginner at the game so never really understood why experenced players usually only open forbidden glades

Its really helpful to see the thought processes because I would not typically consider a lot of what you thought about here. Thanks for the video!

Great video! One question: I see you opened the first dangerous glade when the storm started, is there any particular thinking on the timing?

As far as I know it's because of how it affects your hostility
Why no roads at the start?
Because I'm dumb and keep forgetting the value of roads. Nothing else ;)
funny how i used to struggle on viceroy. im in the prestige teens now viceroy is a joke.
I struggle on the difficulty above settler 😂 I’m very new tho, lvl 11
