Australian made Hoover 800EL BOSS washing machine

This Australian made Hoover washer has what is called BOSS (Balanced Orbit Suspension System). The idea being the motor is counter balanced with weights and is suspended on shock absorbers rather than springs. By this time Hoover had dispensed with the metal gearbox and instead a split phase motor attached to a planetary gear set achieves the agitation. Spin speed by this time was 700 rpm. This machine was originally bought for the sellers mother in law but she refused to use it, so it sat unused for the last 15 years before i purchased it.
