I ordered just the motor. The pump housing was fine. Removed the old motor from the pump housing (3 phillips screws). Connected the new motor to the old pump housing using the 3 phillips screws. $52.00 for the motor compared to $141.00 for motor and pump housing. My son helped me...took us 30 minutes from start (gathering phillips screw driver, slip pliers, water catch pan, towels and a flashlight) to finish (putting everything away). Piece of cake. Thanks Steve!!!
A million thank yous!!! The pump was $130 on amazon, got it in two days, and thanks to your fantastic video, I had it installed and running 20 minutes after the box hit my porch.
This video helped me take out my water pump so I could replace it. I figured it was out so I removed it but looked in it and noticed the fan in the pump was clogged with a ball of hair. I figured I had nothing to lose so I put it back and it ended up working again. This may be the case for others so it does not hurt to check and may help people save with a quick clean and fix. I had just been quoted for part and labor $250-300 so this saved me money as well as taught me how to fix it myself in the future. Thanks for this video
Saved me a service call too. Without this video, I would not have had the courage to take out the pump. The only problem was a clump of something blocking the impeller - I was unable to find it without removing the pump. In answer to Brenda's question two months ago, the impeller on mine spins all the way around but, like for anything connected directly to an electric motor, at regular intervals, there is resistance until a certain angle is passed, then no resistance until the next what feels like a "hump".
Can you tell me if the propeller is suppose to have full spinning abilities like a clock? We aren't sure if the drain pump is the problem or not. We got it pulled out and noticed the propeller only turns so far.

Yes! You saved me so much money and made it so easy to do myself! Thank you so so much!
All fixed and super easily!
Thanks! Saved me tons. Turned out the filter basket was plugged with lint from an old blanket. Cleared out and all is good again!
You made it very easy and clear directions. Thanks.
This video helped me out so much, I'm grateful that you made this channel.
I was replacing this pump and wanted to just make sure. The wires are correct black in the front white in the back?

Awesome! Gonna order my pump and do it myself! - repair guy wanted to charge me $330!
Thank YOU! :)
this just saved me a service call!! Thanks! :)
So there is no calibration or electronic reset required after the pump replacement?
thats what i want to know
No
Why is it $240 on PartSelect, but between $85-105 everywhere else? Seems an excessive mark up...
Easy repair for him but not for a lot of people.
