I’ve never liked using black out mode. I’m afraid I’ll have it off when I want it on and vise versa…. It works but I just don’t feel comfortable using it.
I have the 6.0 with the same barrel mount and the camera keeps slipping from the recoil and eventually falls out of place, I have tightened the mount as much as possible, do you have any tips for that?
I had a solo extreme that was like that. Not sure what caused it on only 1 solo xtreme. But my fix was putting a couple of wraps of black electrical tape around the camera. That seemed to be enough to make the clamp tighter. Good luck
You can only do slow motion in 1080p. It gives you enough frames to film slow motion. 4k only has 60 frames per second. You can still slow it down on your phone or on ur computer but true slow motion requires more frames per second than you can currently get with 4k
@@TripleRwoods thank you for your explanation. Please suggest an app (premium/free) to convert normal 4K video into slow motion which wont drop quality. You can suggest computer based software as well but mobile applications are my first priority. Thanks in advance.
I have a tactacam 4.0 i use it on purple wich is zoom so i can see everything better what is the best settings for the best quality and its still zoomed in and performs well when its dark in the mornings and evenings
Are you talking about loop mode or shotgun mode? Loop records everything but only saves the couple of minutes before or after u press the button. Shotgun does the same thing but the recoil triggers it.
@@TripleRwoods Hello, I just recently got a tactacam. Mainly for shooting, I found the shooting mode. But cant find details on it. Where did you find details on that setting? So on shooting mode I just have to have the camera mounted on my shotgun turned off, and shoot. And shooting will turn it on and record 2 mins before and 2 mins after? Thanks for any help, getting ready for hunting. Great video, keep it up!
Sounds like ur battery is moving when it recoils. Make sure the mount is toward the lens and not the back. If it keeps doing it try putting a small folded piece of paper behind the battery to keep the battery pushed forward. Good luck
Setting it to 15 FPS for better exposure sounds so backwards to a photographer. Sounds like it has a fixed 360 degree shutter if lower frame rates give brighter exposures. 360 deg shutter just means that it exposes the full time available to each frame, 1/60th of a sec for 60FPS, 1/15th for 15 FPS etc. Is there no ISO/gain setting? 15 FPS is pretty much useless for anything. Even Charlie Chaplin had a minimum of 18 FPS :)
There is iso gain but it’s only adjustable in the app and applies to all 3 settings. So if u increase iso for early shooting you gotta reconnect and go back into the app on your phone to turn it back down once the sun comes up.
Problem is you can't run the app on phones running the latest version of Android. I'm using Android 14 and can't use the app and the company has no interest in supporting this product any more.
There’s a “black out” setting that’ll turn the lights off and leave them off while still ON

Can you link the mount please👍🏻
Tactacam is shifting its focus to cell cameras more so than POV cams now. So they aren’t on the website anymore. Check bass pro. Walmart. Maybe eBay.
@@TripleRwoods ok thanks

How do you enable the setting that allows you to record before and after pressing the button ?

Not sure about android. It still works on my iPhone.
