These scenes hit deep for me when playing I thought when it asked me about the first game it would just bring up Chloe being alive or not but instead it dealt with the trauma of the storm and I didn't know she lost her mom during the storm. Damn
I still Fell like mikey neds more devolepment like Is die dating someone? He qould be a good character for Deck nine to say BLM and taggle this in a future Main titel
Survivors guilt is serious. I absolutely know it. You spend your life wondering why you keep getting to continue while others are gone. It gets increasingly more confusing as time goes on. Even with therapy it'll still show up.
Also there seems to be a continuous theme of damaged people connecting. It's a relentless cycle of bonding due to bad circumstances. Truly the whole story is heartbreaking.
In the recently released a Life Of Strange novel “Steph’s Story” Steph mentions knowing Chole and even being friends with her. She’s even mentions meeting Chole and Max after the events of Life Of Strange 1 when she was in college.
For all the flack this DLC got, hell, even the flack it got for being announced *before* the launch of the base game, which may have been warranted: I am glad we finally got some actual consequences for the choice in the first game. The sheer trauma that was induced by saving Chloe over the town, felt like players got to have their cake and eat it but in this DLC we finally get some kind of guilty feelings in relation to the storm. Honestly even the official sequel LiS 2 felt like choosing Chloe was the better option because it barely acknowledged the damage done by the storm, at least not in such a direct and impactful way. Steph shows us how traumatic it really was.
@@mrpopo5097 are you kidding? I was on twitter, reddit, even here around the time of launch. Hell, you can still see the comments. The DLC was boring but I was highlighting one of the redeeming elements.
No, after the storm hit chloe and max hit the road right away and left Arcadia bay, and Steph went to Haven Springs. So neither know how the others doing
My experience with the game was the opposite of yours. After the 1st day, I got into the flow of the game just fine. Each day tasks change. You work on Steph's song. You update the foosball score card. You check the dating app. You notice that stuff starts to change in the record store. And every day you check on things, Steph says something different. But you can always play pinochle, tho. Not every game is fot everyone 🫡

Also lets be Real one reason steph is such a Wandering is so she can cameo organicly in future games and they can have lis 1 ending effect her
It took me a long ass time to realize that Mikey is from prior LIS games. What an awesome way to link the other games to True Colors. Amazing games.
hearing rachel's voice again hit me like a damn train on my first play. god
SAME
It's called survivor's Guilt. 💔😥💔

I like that each game has some Easter eggs and cameos from the first game, but they won’t give us Chloe or Max lol
you can read the comics :)
They gave us Max and Chloe in BtS. That's why the episode is called "farewell".
0:41 VOX MACHINA ORIGINS???? WHAT A CRITICAL ROLE REFRENCE???
So true colours does take place after Arcadia Bay is destroyed. Steph knew nothing of Max with Chloe right?.
it depends on which ending you chose for the first game
She seems to be pretty good friends worth Chloe. I think Chloe would tell her about Max

@@user-MidwayDisc Wonder if it's possible they met in Away, where Karen Reynolds and David Madsen lived in LiS2?
Arcadia Bay isn't destroyed if you choose to save it. That's why the DLC asks you if you saved the town or not at the very start.
Then she meets Alex and her life changes 😢
I gotta play this some day
Play it today
Mikey got big!

So Steph knows nothing about Max and Chloe back together?

Why would she know ? She wasn’t even at school when max went to school
@@mrpopo5097 good point
Story in wavelenghta is nice but fucking hell is it a chore to play through. It was like watching grass grow
