Very nice mate. Back in the 70s my dad had a Cambridge estate. It had a red leather interior like this one and i used to love sitting in the back on those big comfy seats which felt like enormous armchairs to me at the time. Happy memories
Batista Farina really knew his craft. What a designer! When I was a child in the late seventies, there were plenty of these things running around, usually driven by forty year old men.
We have one morris oxford. I have learned car driving with this car. Technology was very good. Nice car and clasic car. unfortunately the car and company discontinued.
A proper family car - and as Terry Wogan once commented: 'driven by a nice chap in a cardigan' - and as far removed from today's vulgar SUV's as it's possible to be!
What a loveley old thing! I was born in 71 and these BMC Farinas were past their prime by the time I was taking notice. Nice to see a lovely example of British Badge Engineering in decent nick. Any idea how many are left? I bet the Riley version is very hard to find.
In my country Malaysia, this model was widely used in our taxi services back in the 1960s, besides Peugeot 404. By 1974, they were replaced by the small Datsun 120Y, before being replaced by our national car Proton Saga in 1985.
That looks really nice! If the sills/wheel arches etc are as good as what we see, then what a fantastic example. It was a classic which I always admired, but one that I haven't yet owned.😉👍

My late father had a 1967 Oxford which I have found memories of sitting in the back on red seats as a young child in the 70s.

Beautiful. The first family car we had that I can remember. A true classic and wonderfully maintained
