Pretty sure it will release in 2025. It was already in the polish phase when they did the announcement about that at CitizenCon in October 2023. I was following the development on the Progress Tracker, and it wasn't listing any Squadron 42 stuff past the middle of January 2023. So it was likely in Polish well before the announcement at CitizenCon. To add to this, a Dev who has worked at a few Triple A studios said that the polish phase is normally around a year or two. It would appear that CiG will have had nearly 3 years to polish, and still release at the end of 2025, if it takes that long. We are about 3 months away from the next CitizenCon, so maybe we will hear something more on the possible release date during that two day event. I wouldn't be surprised if it releases in the first or second quarter of 2025. Meanwhile, a lot of the very cool stuff they showed us at the CitizenCon, has been put into Star Citizen, and we are about to get another big update...3.24. We may also get 4.0 before the end of the year.

Fitting that the CitizenCon is in Manchester this year. The majority of the work done on Sq42 was in the UK. In my opinion, this is best case scenario. I won't be surprised if it's more towards the end of the year, and possible 1st quarter of 2025. It's possible they will release to us as a Beta, so we can report any issues we find. But, this isn't an MMO that has to be stress tested in the way an MMO would. Much easier for the internal testers and external Evocati to test.
I agree! Sick of all the 3rd person games. Why are people so obsessed with seeing their own character? You live your life in 1st person, that is the only natural perspective.
